  1. We just suck tonight so far... Like we are in a daze
  2. Pats are playing equally poorly than goodness...
  3. Getting beat right at the sticks on 3rd down is so typical of this Defense.
  4. That's a garbage play and a garbage throw on 3rd down and 10... The Pats strength is outside... It kills me week in and week out how stubborn the Bills are and how sometimes it seems like they are not interested in exploiting weakness...
  5. That throw is so low %.... I hate it It looked like Kincade was open too... They look so freaking sloppy so far...
  6. Incredible... Nothing to do with the play... These penalties...
  7. Well....OK Brady no more stupid crap...
  8. Josh Allen and James Cook and you're doing that
  9. I mean... Oliver and Sanders out... Well... At least we have not reached Balt level injuries on D... Heavy sigh...
  10. Listening to NE reporter Ben Volin this morning on WGR talking about a potential Patriots upset and pointing out how the patsies will be "fired up" for this game got me thinking... I wonder if the Bills have been "fired up" in any of their 75 wins over the past 6 plus seasons?
  11. I've been saying since mid 23 it's part scheme, part personnel, and part coaching... I still think that's basically true, though I think like you seem to the stubbornness to stick to whatever it is they do seems to have empowered even below average offenses when in years past it confused them and led to easy victories and high ranked Defenses. And before anyone jumps in on that point yes, I know they had better personnel then as well. But I don't have the answers past the fact that the Bills are going to have to get lucky and have players...like Cole Bishop for example...turn into great players. They are Drafting towards the bottom every year and seemingly missing out on impact-types. Here's what the Bills added to the Defense in Days 1-2 in the Draft from 2022-24... Kaiir Elam Terrel Bernard Dorian Williams Cole Bishop DeWayne Carter That's it... 3 on the Roster right now. One solid "vet" starter in Bernard, and then Bishop far and away the player with the most promise. Now, I get they have to Draft on Offense and I'm glad they did... But missing on the Elam and Carter picks hurts, even if you're talking about getting an average level NFL player. And Williams, for all his athletic ability, has not developed into the every-down-type of LB they were hoping for. As for this years bunch it's way, way too early of course... Based on my personal rankings Jihad Campbell was the highest ranked player on my board available to the Bills at #30... And it was not even close... I had Campbell as the #11 overall player on my board... I viewed him as exactly what the Bills desperately need... An impact player. Granted at a position where they seemingly had some depth... But still... I had Max exactly at #30 overall...The Bills traded WAY up to get Sanders...and I like Sanders...but I just assumed they would be looking at a bigger, more stout vs the run type... They Drafted Sanders at #41 overall and I had him at #48... So not bad value... It's tough to argue with the Sanders pick. I know some folks preferred Alfred Collins, but I agree with Beane on the pass rush upside for TJ. I just think TJ is a year away. He's going to need a full year of NFL strength and conditioning. I loved everything about Landon Jackson. How the Bills are not allowing him work out the kinks early is beyond be. I've got nothing against Javon Solomon, but Jackson has legit upside and he's they type of player that is going to win every now and again... Plus he's relentless... I definitely think he'll be better and stronger next year though... Maybe they are just being patient. Lastly, I heard a caller on WGR this AM who basically said he's actually very excited about the Defense because, in his opinion, this will be the worst it looks all year. It's early, we have the injuries, the suspensions, the young players cutting their teeth... And I do think there is some validity to that prediction. Especially considering Oliver has been out and they just seem to be better when Milano is in there. We'll see down the stretch... But I'm not holding my breath.
  12. I did not like the play call either because I HATE taking the ball out of Josh's hands 2 straight plays when we only need 2 yards... But if Van Demark does not trip on that play there is no telling what could have happened. The play was designed for him to block the man that tackles Shakir in the backfield, and his tripping just completely botched the entire play.
  13. I know...I know... A wins a win... And I am very happy they are 4-0... I just don't know how long they can keep this up on D... The Bills have one of the best Offenses in the NFL... No team is going to stop them all game... IMHO... Just on the eyeball test, this Saints D looked considerably better than the Bills D today. They were flying around and playing physical. There is not a ton of talent over there. Their D-line is pretty good. Maybe the Bills are similarly talent challenged? I'm not sure... But maybe... Horseshoes and hand grenades aside for a second... We got a pick at the goal line. And that was on a one handed amazing INT by Bishop that easily could have been a TD if the ball is thrown a little higher... Cooks dropped a tough ball, but it was catchable for a TD... And he was wide open. They missed a 2-point conversion...and the Saints still have 19 points... They could easily... EASILY have had 32 points... Like they were inches away from 32 points... AT BUFFALO. Not to mention another roughing penalty that helped make it easier to close the game out. I know we'll be better with Ed and Milano... But how much better? And can Matt stay healthy anymore? Because Dorian Williams is a liability... He's just not good enough. Maybe with Max, Ogunjobi, and especially Hoecht they close the gap... Maybe Sanders and Walker improve by the end of the year and don't hit the rookie wall... Maybe Landon Jackson can come in and contribute down the stretch... Maybe Jordan Hancock can help? None of that addresses the terrible tackling by the guys playing now. None of it addresses the fact that for the better part of 3 plus quarters there is no pass rush from the guys playing now... None of it addresses the fact that receivers are constantly wide open in zones and rarely contested. This has been an issue going back to 2023 for this Defense. Offensive Coordinators know where the gaps are... The cushions are generous... And all too often tackles are missed or even when they are made the offensive players are able to gets a couple extra yards on the contact... It's a tough way to live on D... It's a lot of maybe's on that side... But honestly...In my gut... I'm not feeling it on that side... Feels like last year... And come Playoff time it's going to be trouble. But today it's 4-0 and on to NE...
  14. The penalty on 2nd down when you are trying to put the damn game away is inexcusable...
  15. We should have gone deep on 1st down...lol
  16. Groot with a decent PR on that 3rd down finally...
  17. Amazing how other teams manage to cover
  18. It's the way they are designed, but part of that design is McD's assumption that he will get the D fixed... That they will get WAY more stops and make games easy... So when they don't stop...anyone...that design does not work so well... And in the Playoffs it kills us...
  19. The Ball hit the ground... But does anyone want to call attention to how open the receiver was and how once again we get zero pressure?
  20. Every single team in the league knows how to beat the Bills in the short passing game
  21. The Saints folks... The Saints
