I watch alone because I mute the commercials. Most other people keep them on for some reason. Also, I have to confess when the other team is doing well, I often mute the commentary, sometimes even if the Bills are dominating. The announcers are usually just so grating to listen to.

It's possible the depth chart says more about Anderson than SVPG. Maybe someone with access to the All-22 film can verify, but he seems active and effective when he's on the field as a sixth blocker. Feisty demeanor, too, as we learned in preseason. Have they found a gem in Anderson?

Right? These highly paid "experts" obviously don't bother watching the games or looking at the numbers. They just indulge their biases in a case study of logical fallacies. So Joe Burrow is better because he has more swagger, Lamar is better because he's a dual threat, ignoring Allen's similar run production and superior air production, Mahomes is better because of his higher TDs thrown vs turnovers ratio, ignoring Allen's far superior overall TD/turnover ratio. Criticize Allen for not making it to the Super Bowl, ignoring his actual performance in the playoffs. Nice work if you can get it. Spout garbage and laugh all the way to the bank.

As much as I despise Brady's character and smirky ratface, I have to agree with you. He adapted to the strengths and weaknesses of the team around him and had success with a wide range of team types. That's pretty impressive. It's just a shame he was (and is) a whiny, self-important, cheating, lying, fatuous POS. (Full disclosure: I lived in New England during his entire career.)

Oh, come on. Just because Mahomes is completing a lower percentage of his passes for a lower average, with three touchdowns compared to Allen's five and three interceptions to Allen's none, you're saying he's still not playing better? He's Mahomes! He has to play better! It's in the media handbook, man. So don't go muddying the water with facts and reality, ok?

You're reading me as implying turnovers don't matter or hurt one's team. Please. You're also ignoring what I'm saying explicitly, that none of the talking heads who stress Allen's turnovers, a take you repeat here, mention his extraordinary TD to turnover ratio. In short, your post exhibits exactly the lazy, biased mindset I'm deploring: "Allen? Yeah, good player, but his turnovers hurt his team." Why not, "Allen? A few more turnovers than his top peers, but far, far, far more TDs: 15 more than the MVP, 17 more than 'the best QB in football.'"

Do you think Bass makes that kick? Me neither.

The narrative that stresses Allen's turnovers and downplays (or more usually ignores completely) his production is beyond absurd. In a few games, he'll have more touchdowns in his first seven seasons than any player in history, followed eventually by the most TDs in history, period. Yet all we hear is "Josh Allen, the turnover machines." He had six more turnovers than Mahomes last year and SEVENTEEN more touchdowns! Has anyone heard that rather important fact mentioned by even a single commentator, at any point at any time?

Well, let's look at the bright side: Both Milano and Bernard should be back this season, along with Taron. Meanwhile, Williams, Spector, Buffalo Joe, Cam, and Ingram will all get lots of starting reps they wouldn't otherwise have gotten, Bishop will be developing in the background, and Edwards will be getting more comfortable with the Bills scheme. If the team can just hang in there until December--and avoid further injury--they could field a first-rate defense for the playoffs. I mean, look at the future starting lineup: Oliver, Rousseau, Miller, Jones, Milano, Bernard, Bishop, Edwards, Taron, Bedford, and Douglas. With good depth everywhere, that sounds good to me.

Funny you don't hear the talking heads mention this stat when they're gushing over how the Chiefs, Ravens, and 49ers have dominated the league.

Can you imagine if Mahomes or Lamar played a game like Allen played? Heads would explode. Mahomes vaulting over a safety for TD, Lamar throwing lasers all over the field, either one of them accounting for four TDs. Both played meh games and STILL the MVP hype train is high on them. Allen? No big deal.

The Bills have Allen and Rousseau, the Dolphins have Hill. No other player on either team is a difference maker, at least not on a consistent basis. So the Bills are better. In fact, they'd be better even if Rousseau were JAG. That's how good Allen is. He could take the Chicago Bears to the playoffs.

Not sure why Bass would be on any list. Are expectations that low that he deserves a game ball for making two FGs under 40 yards, while failing to kick it into the end zone, resulting in a TD return? Here's a game ball for not blowing it too much, Tyler? A lot of players contributed, but there were only two superstars: Allen and Rousseau. They get the game balls, in my book.

Yeah, but Lamar is such a great team leader! Plus, he lost weight, which has to count for something. MVP!
