  1. So when you say, "I was willing to give this a shot" you mean 6 games? Yeah, you're right, that's plenty of time to implement an entire system, acquire the players for that system and get everybody on the same page working as one cohesive unit. You know I get as mad as anybody watching the games. My emotions get the better of me and I’m cussing out every Bill down to the ball boy. But a little bit after the game my intellect returns and I’m once again capable of rational thought. I guess it takes a bit longer for others to calm down.
  2. There were several people on this board that said he was horrible and one poster went so far as to say he was so bad that he would be out of football within a year (or two) of leaving the Bills.
  3. Actually the Giants won which was exactly the point of the first post you quoted. People keep getting pissed off at the QB play because they want a QB that can make up for the deficiencies of the entire team. The problem with that is there are only a few of those guys per generation. It's easier to improve the entire team than it is to get lucky and find one of those all time great QBs. Instead of dumping our QB every 2-3 years it would be nice if the front office would get off their asses and improve the OL. Losman was bad yesterday, even when he had time but if the OL would actually give him some protection the team still had a chance to win. Expecting the QB to drop back and do it all himself is expecting us to have a HoF QB.
  4. I wish the Bills would have taken this advise.
  5. Yeah, I wasn't happy with Rudi today either. At one point near halftime I had to turn it over to the Cinci game just to see if he had gotten hurt. I couldn't fathom that he'd have 0 fantasy points that far into the game. Thankfully I had Travis Henry plugged in there today and my late game guys came on strong (Gates, Parker, R. Brown, Pennington and Coles). I have a pretty big lead, let's just hope I can hold on.
  6. That was a really weak chip block but I agree with the general idea of your post; Gandy was about as bad as an OL can be today.
  7. If it wasn't for fantasy football I'm not sure anybody would watch this game other than Bear fans.
  8. It's not the same thing at all. Holcomb would check down and throw it to a guy 3 yards past the LoS when it was 3rd and 9. Losman is throwing it to the right guy (on the plays I'm speaking about) but the WR (in these instances Evans) hasn't run the proper route. Sure, the end result is the same (a punt) but it's not the same thing.
  9. If the WR is a yard short of the first down when he catches the ball it's almost always his fault for not being aware of the first down marker. If you think it's happening too frequently then blame the WRs, not the QB. I'm not attempting to deflect attention away from Losman's poor outing today but you can't put everything on him.
  10. Yeah, if they're going to call that then they need to make a rule that all hair has to be tucked into the jersey.
  11. Losman had a bad game, I'll give you that. But you need to look beyond the numbers. On one of those 2 yard completions on 3rd and 3 Evans was at fault for not getting past the marker. I don't remember the other one I'll have to go check it out.
  12. My god, that's just crazy talk. I think Losman will turn into a decent QB but he was awful today until the 4th quarter. By then it was too little too late.
  13. Speaking of which K. Thomas had a brutal end to this game. He got faked out on the most important play of the game which resulted in a Detriot 1st down. He followed it up with that penalty (which may not have been a penalty) and then finished up the game by not holding his block on the punt return and letting Leonard get smacked.
  14. With a few of my players out with bye weeks I picked up Henry and started him this week. Good move, unfortunately the rest of my team is sucking.
  15. Well the first play from scrimmage was a sack by Schobel. I wish that set the tone for the game! Unfortunately it was the second play from scrimmage which set the tone (the play I think you're referring to).
  16. The QB simply throws the ball out of bounds near a WR. It's done all the time and is rarely called grounding. I'm not sure why you have a boner about this play. Losman needs to learn to throw the ball away, period. He thinks he can make plays with his escapablity and sometimes he can. Most of the time, however, he ends up making a bad play. I'd easily sacrifice the good plays to eliminate the bad plays. Losman has a lot of potential but one of the things he needs to learn how to do (despite your claims that it can’t be done) is to simply throw the ball away.
  17. It was a great play by Whitner but there's no way they overturn that.
  18. Umm, no, throw it away in the direction of a WR like every other QB in the league manages to do. I've been in Losman's corner from the start but that play is indefensible.
  19. That was a pretty good read. It's not too kind to Nate. From the naked eye I would have said that Nate was having a better season than McGee thus far but that guy's numbers argue otherwise.
  20. That's pure speculation. You have no idea if he'll be paid top 4 money or not. Perhaps he will but I'd guess a lot has to do with how he performs this year. If he has another stinker there's no way teams break the bank on a player who has just come off two bad seasons in a row. If he plays to his potential then yeah, I can see him getting top 4-5 money.
  21. And he was horrible last year. He's been better this year but that doesn't erase how bad he was last year. He was toasted on a consistant basis last year. Yet somehow he's a "top 4 CB". He has the potential to be the best in the league but his performance last year wasn't even average.
  22. Until the Bills get much better every team on the schedule worries me.
  23. Yes, it's the media's fault that they (gasp!) shot Owens on the sideline and not Owens' for blowing up at his teammates and coaches. You've nailed it.
  24. Owens doesn't help matters. If he wanted to avoid being a spectacle he could. He works out in his driveway, he puts on a biking outfit and helmet when he's on the sideline exercycle when he's injured, and countless other things. He consistently has to draw attention to himself in one way or another and the media obliges his request and gives him that attention. Blaming the media is too easy, Owens shoulders much of the blame.
  25. Paint it Nickle!
