  1. I sense another Geno Int coming...
  2. Gotta love Geno Smith interceptions. 21-16 Jets now. Cobb's on my fantasy team, which is a bonus.
  3. There aren't many TE's in the league how can make that catch. Before I saw Chandler make it I would have put him in the group that couldn't make it. It was impressive.
  4. The guy has made 12 NFL starts. If you told me he'd play like he has in his 11th and 12th starts when they drafted him I'd take it in a heartbeat.
  5. The big thing is he's driving the ball down field and getting chunks of yards. That's what we need to see and so far he's delivering.
  6. I'm pretty confident that no head coach is happy when their starter goes down. Even if the backup plays well.
  7. I blame Crossman for the missed chip-shot FG. It was obviously his fault.
  8. Yeah, good point, I didn't consider that.
  9. I'm wondering who that missed TD was on. Was it supposed to be a skinny post (like Watkins ran) or a post (like EJ threw.)
  10. No kidding, I counted at least 3 obvious ones where a tackle backed into pass protection a good 1/2 second before the snap.
  11. Guys who run don't tend to be able to stay on the field.
  12. Wallace is the only WR that I worry about on the Phins. They should be rolling a safety his way most of the day and make someone else beat them. As such I'm not too worried about who has him deep, either Gilmore or McKelvin can do that job with help.
  13. Classy. That being said I laughed out loud at the pic.
  14. He's obviously not a leader though, just look at his shaded visor.
  15. Simple answer is because Dixon is the better short yardage back so he gets the nod as RB3.
  16. Can there be such thing as a "trap game" when most of the football world thinks the team stinks? The Bills might lose but it's not a "trap game" where they simply overlook an opponent and don't come prepared to play. That being said, they don't lose. Bills 24, Phins 14.
  17. "There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief. Welcome to where time stands still, no one leaves and no one will Camera got them images, camera got them all, nothing's shocking
  18. No, but he sticks to the #1 WR much better than Sherman does. When Sherman is out there teams love to throw to their #1 as the next time Sherman covers a team's #1 will be the first time. As for Gilmore the jury is still out. He was very good in the last 10 or so games of his rookie year. Very good. Last year he played poorly with that cast on and didn't pick up his play until late in the season. If it wasn't for the way refs are throwing flags in regards to contact I'd have no worries about Gilmore stepping up this season as a guy who can be relied upon to shut down a teams #1. However the ticky-tac flags we saw in pre-season leave me with some doubt as to how Gilmore will do without his physical style of play. Perhaps if he got to shadow a teams #3 all game he'd look fantastic...
  19. Uh-oh, another "balance" thread. Is this one going to turn out like the player who rescued his nephew from drowning?
  20. Actually, it should make the tackling better. There isn't worse tackling form than leading with your head. There only thing leading with your head accomplishes are injuries to the tackler and ball carrier.
  21. The Jets are not going into GB and coming home with a win. Sure GB didn't look at good but that was on the road against the best team in the league. There's a wide gap between that situation and the Jets, who struggled for most of the game vs. one of the worst teams in the league and that was at home. I give the Jets slightly more than a 0% chance of coming out of week 2 with a record of 2-0.
  22. You don't think falling off the rail and injuring himself and another, losing his job, paying a fine and 100 hours of community service accomplishes that? Hell, I'm sure he still have a civil suit coming his way. The guy made a stupid mistake and paid (is paying) for it. How much more is really needed? 100 lashes in the town square?
  23. There seems to be a different standard for judging McKelvin and Gilmore. If Gilmore had the game McKelvin did vs. the Bears he'd be getting lambasted. But since it's McKelvin he "played well."
  24. It seems to me that your issue is more with Goodell than with the public. The public is always going to state their opinions about any number of topics. However, Goodell (and the NFL owners) are the ones who give those complaints power. Without somebody doing something those opinions hold no weight. The bottom line is that it's the bottom line. If the NFL fears people will boycott their product they'll react to the mob, if they don't they'll ignore them (or placate them.) Nobody can force them to do anything. They have to power to do what they want and the public has the right to state (shout, tweet, etc.) their opinions. The system appears to be working just fine even if those shouting are highly obnoxious.
