  1. Exactly, thank you McD and thank you to the Pegs. I wish all the negative nancies around here would embrace this most positive move, because you're killing my buzz.
  2. He can do whatever he wants to the Sabres, just keep him away from the Bills, please Pegs.
  3. No one turns on the charm like Russ.
  4. Pretty definitive take.
  5. Yep. I think he stayed at first as a condition Ralph placed on whoever brought the team. Pegs was then misted by Russ into thinking he was a superstar executive and gave RB even more power, but the past 2 years have been a real eye-opener. Don't know what options Pegs has as far as dumping him; we may have to settle for the current arrangement and hope he is truly far far away from football operations.
  6. Amen. Smart move by Pegs. Could be that only dysfunctional people would've preferred that things stay the same, they may find comfort in more dysfunction.
  7. No doubt about it... except maybe Leroi, but he may not be returning now.
  8. Good idea, move Russ from the Bills to the Bandits.
  9. You forgot sunshine and lollipops. Has Chris Brown commented on this yet?
  10. Agreed... but only if you don't meet Russ before signing.
  11. It may not end well, but it had to be done. I was already going to give McD the benefit of the doubt this year, but now I am truly excited for this new direction the team is taking.
  12. Yeah, McD already had one for his rookie year and all, but the 1st major step towards a truly new era has just been taken. I predict the majority of the fanbase and local media will react positively, and that we can all look at this team in a positive light again. The only possible negative would be that it took him long enough, but that's water under the bridge, he is golden right now and for at least this year. I'm not even thinking 17 and counting anymore, this is a reset (at least for now). One word of advice to Pegs though: if you are going to retain Russ and Jimmy O, keep them buried far far away from any media or public appearance/mention, and the dogs will stay backed off.
  13. Sully's take will be most epic! Rejoice!
  14. Bottom-line results are what count, especially in the NFL. Anything less than making the playoffs is a failed season. The 3 seasons before Lil Doug became GM were failures. Being that he wasn't in charge, I can't assign too much blame to him, but they were failures nonetheless. He's been GM now for 4 seasons of failure, where the absolute maximum anyone should be given is 3 years. You only get one mulligan, and that's for your first year. I don't care about excuses, or any small successes, or any bleeding hearts weeping for him. I only look at the bottom line, and I see 7 years of failure, with 4 years of failure in charge... way, way past time for him to go.
  15. I wonder if he addresses the media one last time.
  16. Maybe he can help Russ fix the Sabres.
  17. That would be vintage Russ ... but I will choose to believe on this most glorious night that he is truly out of the picture or at least very, very far away from football operations.
  18. A on principle. There may not be a single difference-maker drafted this year, but it truly does look like Pegs has woken up and is moving the team in an entirely different direction. Whether it ends up for the better or the worst, it had to be done. Good luck to McD and all of this week's new Bills!
