Anyone who doesn't think Allen has made a big step forward this year is not watching the games. Sure we haven't played the top teams yet, but Allen's play is substantially improved regardless. There is no doubt the better receivers are helping but I like his ball placement better overall.

Allen is taking shots. Barkley probably warming up in case of need, hopefully it won't be a thing.

It is really hard to decide where to draw the line. He had injuries that also seriously impacted his draft status. Before that, who knows what would have happened if he never got kicked off his first team? His red flags which scream "undisciplined" are a huge problem for any kind of high pick. But if he was more disciplined, maybe he would also have been a better QB?? No way to know.

That is not an extenuating circumstance. Our guys had to catch those INTs. Sounds like a straight up beat.

Teams these days do not like to carry 3 QBs on the active roster in most cases. Given that they don't expect him to play as long as Brissett is healthy, it makes sense to waive him and put him on the PS. They most likely feel it is a good chance he won't be claimed, given his history, so they can PS him. And, if he is claimed, they can deal with having a #3 QB some other way. It is not super critical.

I don't think they can waiver claim him to the PS; they can waiver claim him to their roster. Once he is actually on the Colts PS, after that he can probably choose not to be signed off to another team's roster. Regardless of "team situation" I cannot see a player choosing a PS spot over a roster spot, if only for financial reasons.

So now we know the Colts don't want to keep him as QB3. Best chance, he clears waivers and ends up on the Colts PS tomorrow.
