  1. The first Bills QB to beat New England since Drew Bledsoe.
  2. Pre-injury EJ would have picked up the first there.
  3. Fred is slower than he used to be, but the reality is, he got several 4-10 yard runs regardless. Several of the plays where he was caught, he had very little chance. There's no guarantee a faster player catches those passes either. I think he would do better if used more effectively. Oddly, there were a couple of runs/receptions today where I thought he would have made more yardage if he went towards the inside. I wonder if the coaches are (incorrectly) setting him up to go outside, which is a mistake to do too often as opposing players are faster.
  4. Denver beat us because they are a better team. Manning did not even have an outstanding game.
  5. 3 turnovers by both teams and it is 24-3. Feels like a total team beat. By the way we got penalties on both INT returns, Denver did not on theirs (not much return but no penalty).
  6. We didn't even see what it was that he did.
  7. Our defense has sometimes shown vulnerability to bouncing it outside.
  8. If Orton does not show more playmaking soon, we should put EJ in. Really.
  9. There are also scenarios where we win out, but 2 AFC North teams (other than CLE) as well as either SD or KC also end with 11 wins. In those cases we also miss the playoffs.
  10. That Playoff Machine is great. According to it, if the following happens: Bills (7-5) beat OAK, go 8-8 Miami (6-5) only beat Jets once, loses all other games, goes 7-9 CLE (7-5) beats BAL Week 17, loses out, goes 8-8 PIT (7-5) beats KC Week 16, loses out, goes 8-8 BAL (7-5) beats MIA Week 14, loses out, goes 8-8 SD (8-4) beats KC Week 17, loses other games, goes 9-7 KC (7-5) loses every game, goes 7-9 HOU (6-6) beats BAL, loses other games, goes 7-9 ... Then the Bills will make the playoffs at 8-8! So, there you have it - no ties necessary and we don't have to beat any top QBs. At least if the playoff machine has calculated tiebreakers correctly. If the Bills beat Denver, we need a lot less help. But in any case, the rooting guide next week should probably be: Bills over Denver (obviously) Indianapolis over Cleveland (definite) Jacksonville over Houston (definite) Arizona over Kansas City (definite) Cinci over Pittsburgh (almost certainly) Baltimore over Miami (iffy, but probably better) New England over San Diego (probably better)
  11. Can RG3 convert to another position?
  12. I would be very surprised to see the Bills get involved in this mess.
  13. Maybe the fund can/should be portrayed similar to autograph fees or endorsement income. People give money to football players for very little "work" all the time. If he doesn't want the money perhaps it can be combined with an appearance fee somewhere. The reality is that any donations are related to his football career. In a way it may be easier to accept small amounts from fans than larger amounts from personal friends (e.g. Bruce). Also the article really makes Bruce look good. If he is really helping DT with his rent and his insurance then good for him.
  14. The presence of Denver probably kills the chance for the record. Also not likely to get to Brady much.
  15. Git r done, Doug.
  16. I forgot about this when I voted Harbaugh. Scratch that.
  17. They are who we thought they were.
  18. Let's see the offense finish one off.
