Didn't he say this last week before the Bills even had their interview with Frazier? If it was true it would point to someone like Billick or Harbaugh. Seems like just more misinformation to me.

Don't get your hopes. he could come out and give a definitive statement one way or another but I am expecting more coyness and innuendo.

Well, we'll agree to disagree on this. I just can't imagine that if we'd hired an up and comer like Marc Ross or Dave Gettleman that they would be very happy that they would have to deal with this national enquirer stuff before they even hire a coach. I'd venture to guess that they'd be regretting their decision very quickly.

Having lived in big cities now for the better part of my life I can tell you that this is categorically untrue. I have witnessed multiple athletes grab a$$ing and starting fights on multiple occasions. Hell, Lawyer Milloy almost started a fight with me at a bar while he was still with the Patriots when one of my friends told him I was a Bills fan. The facts are that this is the second running back that is being run out of time and while we have Fred Jackson now, he will be 30 in two seasons. People complain about the front office but I would hate to continually have to waste resources just because you have to send a guy packing just to placate the fans. And again...you and I aren't NFL prospective free agents so it is easier for us to choose a side but as an athlete when you see stuff like this going on, it's hard to take a fan base seriously sometimes.

Sorry I should have clarified...I meant playoff wins not appearances. That's where the Chiefs and Browns are behind them (with the Browns being out of the league for 3 years in between)

Honestly, don't want to rub anybody around here the wrong way but these silly little stories don't surface in large markets. I love how people try to blame Ralph and Russ Brandon and all these other things as being reasons why players don't want to come to Buffalo. Maybe it's time to start looking in the mirror. Now we'll have every yahoo come out of the woodwork until Lynch's trade value is totally dead. Then we can cut him outright and he can go to the New England Patriots and become an All-Pro and win multiple Super Bowls. It's also what Pittsburgh said about Tomlin and Baltimore said about John Harbaugh and those hires worked out pretty well...it's all a crap shoot really. You're not going to know how good a head coach is until he is a head coach. Just because a previous regime were "blown away" in the past doesn't mean anytime a front office is blown away that the guy is going to be a bust. That comparison is so utterly simplistic it's embarrassing.

I think it is more or less understood that there is a List A and a List B with one of the lists consisting solely of Cowher and the other list consisting of the rest. Frazier would, at this point, be the leader of the list of the rest.

The Lions, Browns, and Chiefs are also ahead of us in playoff droughts and of course the Texans have never been so there are worse teams to be fans of I suppose.

I'll give you Billick and Harbaugh but Whisenhunt took over a team that was coming off of a decade as bad as our previous one. He is the only coach in that's franchises' history do have any sort of sustained success.

But those weren't your original points. Your original points were that Leslie Frazier prefers small players to big players even though the defense he currently coaches is comprised of big players. The second point was that the Bills wouldn't be able to attract large football players and would have to settle for smaller players even if they wanted bigger players, thus making the ridiculous inference that all big football players are good players and all small football players are bad players and every single team is looking for the exact same type of players. Those are the original points you made and the ones I disputed. Stop trying to make sense after the fact.

Frazier can't be offered the job until Minnesota is eliminated from the playoffs. Further, there will be more candidates available this week, depending on who loses the games this weekend.
