  1. One dimensional perhaps...but it's a dimension we need....
  2. I long for the heady days of one 6-7 Peter Henry Metzelaars. Nobody could reel in a pass and then fall down like Big Pete....
  3. It's not unheard of for a guy to be good at both......Royal may be a solid blocker and, granted, play hard....but, at age 30, I think we've seen the extent of the pass catching he's gonna provide. I think Schouman is a pretty good pass catcher, i imagine his size limits his ability as a blocker. Tight end is definitely an issue...
  4. ...and that is a key point we can't overlook. Yeah, we laid an egg today. But flying across country to play against a team that puts up a lot of points without our leader on offense, our best special teams player, and our best defensive player against the passing game - not surprised that a lot of our flaws (and we do have some) were exposed and exploited. You're gonna have at least one of these clunkers a year....now let's get healthy and address some of these problems.
  5. Nothing is over until WE say it's over.... Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? It wasn't over then...and it ain't over now...... Fitzgerald...he's a dead man. Egderrin...dead... Warner.....DEAD
  6. Anytime you hear former NFL players talking about the Bills Defense in that era, they always bring up Talley....Bruce and Biscuit and to some extent, even Shane Conlan were a little more known to fans and broadcasters. But Talley's name always came up when people who actually played against the Bills gave their opinion.
  7. The more we engage in the Trent/JP discussion, the more and more we start to wade into the hypothetical...which, granted, much of sports discussion is based on hypotheticals and comparison. But the brass tacks I think most people might agree with are: * Bills are looking great with Trent under center * Fairchild was nothing short of inept as an OC...likely the worst to ever strap on a headset for this franchise. So it's really hard to estimate the full extent of what JPs abilities might be - it seems as if he has all the tools, so, maybe, in the right system he could be a legitimate NFL QB. * JP made it a point to embrace the city of Buffalo upon his becoming the starting QB, and he should get credit for that. * Despite the debate over JPs upside, I think most people would concur that he is a good option as a #2 QB. We see the impact of losing Brady...does anyone think that Bellicheat wouldn't rather have JP than Matt Cassel? If Trent were to become injured, all of a sudden JP would be worth a lot more than a 3rd round pick.
  8. ...he looks sorta like the crypt keeper there
  9. That press conference was a cringe from start to finish. What a douche. I hope Kiffin goes on to much greener pastures.
  10. So maybe Mort should have said that Tom Donohoe is welcome to come over and bang my wife and glory hole I in the shower?
  11. .....everyone was jocking the Jets when they got Favre and crowned them the division champs when Brady went down. Now watch all these media idiots act like they knew the Bills would contend all along.
  12. Tommy: Is it the frank or the beans? Langston: I don't know, both I guess? Gibril (off camera): Franks and beans! Franks and beans!! Tommy: Oh man! How'd you get the beans above the frank?
  13. Also looking forward to Hardy getting more acclimated to the league and the offense and contributing. Roscoe, Reed, and Evans all did all they could with their respective 5'9 and 5'10 frames.
  14. Despite what was initially a subpar performance, the Bills rallied and got a big win. That's what a good team does. And the rest of the AFC did not exactly wow me today. uh-oh...a giant pitcher full of a mysterious sugary liquid just crashed through my wall and shouted "Oh yeah......" I think I'm ready to try some. "Glug glug glug." Yep....we can do it.
  15. it would be "neato" if you could relate anything having to do with sports opinions to anything other than Jim Rome. There's a reason why he's a God on the west coast, and a nobody out here. Because he has more to do with celebrity than substance...just like you and your bad boy Raider fantasy. Kiss mommy goodnight for all of us.
  16. Huge assumption there that SoCal fans care enough about any sports team to have suffered any sort of pain associated with a team moving. It's bandwagon USA....teams are transplanted back and forth across the state, changing cities and names (the friggin' Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim? huh?) as needed, fans leave in the 4th inning of baseball games to beat traffic, and sporting events are really about what celebrities you can spot at the game above all else. Just imagine the vapid castmembers of any VH1 so-called reality show, multiply it a few thousand, and you've got the attendance at a major sporting event in the greater LA area. To even suggest that any element of their so-called fandom is akin to diehard fan bases like Buffalo is ridiculous. For a Raiders fan, it's really more about getting to play dress-up than actually giving a rip about the product on the field.
  17. Translation: Lives in the basement of mom & dad's McMansion clone-home in Orange County. Later tonight, will heading over to In-N-Out Burger and meeting the rest of the guys he dresses up with to go to the renaissance festival or who he plays World of Warcraft with and telling them all about how he really causes havoc on a Bills' fans message board. Like many of the idiot Raider fans in SoCal, threw away his Jim Everett jersey in 1994, adopted the "bad boy" personna, and started dressing up like Johnny Depp or donning the stupid Road Warrior-themed costumes, or some other homoerotic expression of his secret self-loathing. Puts on a Raider jersey and flashes West Coast gang signs that he sees in rap videos to fellow poseurs while hanging out in front of Bed Bath and Beyond, Whole Foods Market, and Borders at the mall.
  18. No matter the score of the Pats/Jets game, you can't ignore the bills.... Keep jocking Favre...but something cool is happening way Upstate....
  19. Schouman!!! Yeah, Boise State....run the statue of liberty!!
  20. they're running at will.....i thought this was gonna change this year.....
  21. "eh...i could tone it down a bit...maybe just choke a few people..."
