The last Falcon game, they showed the stats with Ryan & without him & if he had played all year the Falcons would have made the playoffs. That is a BIG difference in QB play. You can also look at the Cardinals. With the same team, just changing from Leinert to Warner, the Cards go from a so-so team to a Super Bowl contender. Tampa Bay will be much better next year because Freeman got experience this year.
I agree with you about Nolan, that is why I did not say I would be fine with him. I think Hasslet is a better HC than Martz. Of the Coaches named my choice would be Denny Green. I think he would have had success in Arizona if he was given a little more time.
You could put ANY of those QB's behind the BEST O-Line in the NFL & they should be able to win as many as 7 or 8 games for you. The line is important, but at the end of the day it really is ALL ABOUT the QB.
Why? What good would that do? So you have a good line & a CRAP QB, what does that get you? Just because the line is good one year, does NOT mean it will be good the next. Injuries happen, contracts expire, players hold out.
Witnessing a murder by one of YOUR boys & STONEWALLING the police about it IMO is FAR WORSE than the Dogfighting. Like it or not, dogfighting is part of the culture many people grow up in.
I TOTALLY agree a GOOD GM is paramount. The point about QB's is an excellent GM will make it a priority to get one, even then some luck is involved. If the Bills had lost another game or two, Big Ben would be a Buffalo Bill.
