  1. I would hope Marv would jump all over Bush in the 6th round. He was a potential 1st round pick before the injury. (It's not like taking a player who has been injured in the 1st round, thanks for that TD )
  2. Marv did franchise Clements. He chose to keep him on the team rather than trading him. Nate may have had a say in that however. The player can refuse to negotiate with the team he is to be traded to. Nate clearly wanted to test the market (who can blame him?) so it would not surprise me if he refused to do so. No team will trade for a player unless they agree to a new contract beforehand. Marv agreed to not franchise Nate the 2nd year in order to avoid the problems Chicago is having with Briggs.
  3. I would love to see Ricky here. If he were in the NBA he would have had no problems. If not for the weed he could have been in the HOF in the end. I dbout Miami would trade him to us though.
  4. The Bills got rid of an undersized ageing MLB in Fletcher, who could not stop the run. They will replace him with someone with size & speed - upgrade. Crowell & Ellison both have a years experience in the Tampa 2 (Urlacher of the Bears said year 2 was when everyone catches on) both should be improved.
  5. The Bills will make a step forward even at 8-8 with the tough schedule this year. The O-line was average at the end of last year. Sould be MUCH better this year. The D-line should be improved this year, as should the Linebackers. The special teams were Great last year, should be the same thisyear. The entire team has a year in the system so everyone should be better.
  6. One SMALL fast (Rosco Parrish) receiver per team is plenty
  7. Oakland may well end up with Cullpepper, but I don't see Miami cutting him untill well after the draft. I think it is 50/50 either way the Raiders pick Johnson.
  8. I see Thomas playing the same role he did last year. The Bills will have another back ahead of him on opening day. I can't believe all the talking heads who think McGahee's 990 yards will be difficult to replace.
  9. I don't know that the Browns would take Russell over Quinn. I guess the Fins would be happy with Russell if he were there and Quinn was gone. What do you think PhinBlitz?
  10. Great post. It happens quite often, a player may have peaked in college, or his skills can not overcome his negatives in the NFL (lack of size or speed for example), where another player with potential may take more time to mature and just hit his stride as he comes to the NFL (especially if he left college early).
  11. I hope you're right, but I would still take a CB on day one, if a quality CB falls to us much as Youbouty did last year. I am not sold on McGee, and would like to see him as a nickle back.
  12. I would include Okoya in that list before Poz.
  13. I am not a big fan of trading for Turner. That said I would give a #2 for him & the Ravens #3 next year (conditional) on him gaining 1400 yards. I would increase it to a #1 next year if he gains 2000 yards, nothing next year if he fails to break 1400.
  14. I think the Bills would be just fine with either Irons or Pitman.
  15. Buffalo is going to be on Total Access tonight ( Thursday ) at 7:00 PM.
  16. Clements should have had his contract extended by TD. Marve agreed to not franchise him again to avoid the problems Chicago is having this year with Briggs. I think the mistake Marv made was not trading Nate last year. How many more games would we have lost without him, and would it have mattered ( other than a higher pick in this years draft ).
  17. Following in Kellys footsteps.
  18. Playing in the NFL is a privlege not a right ( kind of like driving a car ). Therefore no due process is nessary ( kind of how a driver is forced to take a breath test or risk suspension of license even if he wasn't proven to be over the limit).
  19. I believe it was Brian Urlacher of Chicago who made that statement about the Tampa 2 defense. Whoever plays MLB for the Bills next year it will be an upgrade from Fletcher last year despite his stats.
  20. That is plain CRAZY. Dion was not much of a tackler, but was probably the BEST DB EVER, not to mention he returned kicks & punts.
  21. As a Bucs fan as well as a Bills fan. I sure as hell hope the Bucs don't trade up for Johnson. They have more needs than the Bills, and can't afford to give up those picks.
  22. You can never have enough good cb's. Even if Youboty is great, I could see him & Hall, McGee as the nickel. According to NFL network there are a number of Quality LB's availabe in rounds 3&4.
  23. Unless we only trade down a few picks, the problem with moving down is losing out on a potential probowler who can make a huge impact, and getting a couple journeymen instead. I would rather stay at 12 and draft the best player available. ( That is unless Marv wants to trade down - IN MARV WE TRUST )
  24. Great signing for Buffalo!
  25. TD was the GM when Clements should have been extended. Last year was too late, Clements wanted to test the market, so no way he was going to sign. I wish Marv could have got us a pick for Clements last year, as he knew he wasn't coming back.
