He plays in a defense surrounded by probowl type players, which tend to make even average players look better. He is also on a defense unlike the one the Bills employ. There is no telling how good he would have done in Buffalo on that subpar defense of last year. You said yourself the Ravens were 1st in D last year. How far do they drop without Ngata? 2nd, 3rd, 23 who knows. Last year Whitner was rated the #1 safety, and 1st round pick by Pro Football Weekly. He also started all 16 games. We will have to wait to see who has the better career.Last year safety was not the sexy pick, this year on NFL network, & on ESPN I have heard a number of talking heads say safety is a position which will receive a greater priority than in the past.

I could be wrong, and like I said he could be great. I just don't know, I just think it is safer to go with someone from a less glamourous state. (unless Marv wants him --- In Marv we trust ).

He wasn't used in the passing game, but how many Bills backs have since Thurman? I am not even saying he will be Thurman, but I would be happy if he is Kenny Davis.

The reason so many rookies started last year is they had more talent than the players they replaced. When the players drafted this year start it will be because they are more talented than the player they replaced. Don't confuse youth with lack of talent it's never a good thing.

McCardell still has plenty of speed, and good hands. I think he would be a solid #2.

My biggest problem with Lynch is where he is from. Lets say he is great, I don't see him being happy in Buffalo. I could see him pulling a Willis to get out of Buffalo. He will probably hire Dickhead Rosenhouse as an agent also.

I hear Moulds is available. Seriously I would be happy if the Bills signed McCardell. I think he still has a couple more years in him.

I am with you, but there are still all kinds of posts on this board knocking Whitners play last year,& Marvs drafting him. Some people are IDIOTS.

Have you ever even seen Kenny Irons play? If you had you would know he is well worth a 2, I promise you he will be gone before round 3.

It is one thing to spend money wisely on players who will be good team players for a period of time, it is another to foolishly spend ala Danny & is Deadskins. IN MARV WE TRUST!

I am with you unless Marv feels we need Willis and doesn't want to chance losing him, like Whitner last year.

I believe Tampa Bay was the first to start this stupid crap, at least it is the first place I saw it. The Glazers (owners of the Bucs ) started this when Raymond James Stadium opened. What is worse they do not alow fans to hang posters or even have large signs in the stands. The corporationizing of the NFL. I think this is what Ralph is most upset about. Most cities have a number of corporations who buy all the suites as well as most of the best seats in the stadiums which they give out to clients & employes. Most of these people are only at games to see and be seen, not to watch the game. They are not really football fans and most don't really know anything about football. That is why you see stadiums start to empty in the 3rd quarter in many cities, Tampa included.

If Willis is Drafted, and starts, Crowell will make the calls from the slb position, he did in a couple games last year.

Living in Fla, being a huge SEC fan ( Gators of course ) , and having watched Kenny Irons play in many games, I am with you 100%. Irons is the back I would like to see in a Bills uniform over any other.

The Bills were able to draft Thurman Thomas in the 2nd round because he was comming off an injury, even though he had 1st round talent. To draft Peterson at 12 or higher after 2 injury plaged years to me is crazy, no matter how talented he is. I doubt he will ever compare to Thurman even if he stays healthy, but who can say he won't be injured the next two years or even more. The average career for a running back now is 5 years and this includes all the backs who come into the league injury free. The average career for a LB is 10 years. My choice would be the next Urlacher for 10 years over the next Edgeron James ( no way is Peterson the next LT ) for 5 years ( if that ).

If Okoya, Willis, Branch, and Peterson are all gone when the Bills pick, I would hope they trade down picking up extra picks and taking Pozluskey in the 1st.
