Just watched Raging Bull

The acting is great, but the audio and cinematography leave a bit to be desired, IMHO . . . Linky -
I chose WR, but I'm still not convinced that the 1st Rd pick will be a receiver. I just don't see another 1st pick in the draft devoted to that position. If the draft is indeed that deep at WR, I'm hoping that the Bills go DE with the 1st pick. There is a strong liklihood that Hardy, Doucet and maybe another of the coveted receivers will still be there @ 41. They don't need a number 1 receiver. They need a big guy to complement the #1 receiver they already have. I just don't see the Bills braintrust investing that much of the cap on one position. (Unless the plan is to let Evans walk after next year and plug in someone else - Reed - as the #2)

A major reach at #11
Southern McButterpants. replied to OGTEleven's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All of the talk regarding trading down is great . . . but you need a partner with whom to trade without losing your shirt in the transaction. Fill a need! Who cares where in the draft it is? We won't know the true value of any of the players taken in this draft for at least one year and more likely 2-3. Who gives a flaming pile of dog doo whether Mel Kiper or any other arse-hole on ESPN thinks it was a reach???? If Kiper or any of these other goons were so !@#$ing good at evaluating talent, they would be working the draft for a team, not a network. Sorry . . .rant over . . . we now return you to the previous discussion, already in progess. -
Tecmo Super Bowl was (and still is) the greatest football video game . . . ever . . . period . . . castlevania 3 was awesome . . . One of my personal favorites was the Bard's Tale . . . Cool D&D game . . . Good times . . . goood times.

New Mock Draft. Hysterical.
Southern McButterpants. replied to CJPearl2's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was freakin' hilarious . . . "The reason Donovan McNabb have great arm strength is the fact that his arm is so strong. But it might as well not even matters because his receivers cannot catch a fly with their Chinese toothpick." -
Has anyone ever been a movie extra?

I was in a Win For Life Lottery Commercial . . . -
It did? Funny . . . I remember gas lines and an energy crisis which fed directly to the Stag-flation under Carter. Free enterprise is the only way to go. Let the market set the price. When the price gets too high, demand (and prices) will fall. I've altered my driving habits by slowing down on the thruway from 75 to a little over 65. But i haven't cut out any non-essential driving . . .yet.

1990 Draft for Bills
Southern McButterpants. replied to COACH85's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed . . imagine what Barry Sanders would have done with a good offensive line . . . Not to take naything away from Emmitt . . .he deserved his rings and HOF career, but a lot of his success was due to the line he played behind. -
Today is my daughter's birthday . . . I remember the OB/GYN that delivered her saying that he needed to send in his tax check. My wife asked how much he owed and he said about $25K . . . Eleven years ago . . . Shoulda went to med school instead of smokin' reefer in my early 20's . . .

Might have been a bit quick with that checkmate (although Driver's Seat is awesome) . . . I prefer this one. Power Pop's Greatest Moment

Any of you guys been Illio DiPaolo's?
Southern McButterpants. replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall Archives
DiPaolo's is one of my favorite places in WNY. If you like pasta dishes, get the fettucine with whatever sauce. They list the home-made pastas on the menu and the fettucine is my favorite, especially with the mushroom sauce and 2 meatballs . . . Yum! -
Beat me to it . . . I was gonna post "Photoshop is cool."

Yes! All federal policy should be dictated and directed on the basis of CNN popularity polls. Free cheese and missile launchers for everyone!!! I can't believe that the left is making an issue out of this. Like you really expected him to say, "Well, golly . . . we should leave them all alone then." What a sad and simplistic view of the world and the place that the USA has in it . . .

Ticket Brokers
Southern McButterpants. replied to Southern McButterpants.'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
A week from today, Ticketmaster will seek a preliminary injunction in Federal District Court in Los Angeles to stop RMG Technologies from accessing the Ticketmaster system through automated programs. Ticketmaster believes RMG provides resellers repeated access to Ticketmaster.com via a proxy server that moves these buyers to the head of the digital line Linky -
My 11 year old daughter wants to go see the Jonas Brothers (i know, who?) in the worst way. So I pony up $40 to join the Fan club so I can get tix during the pre-sale this morning. There is a limit of 4 tix per login as well, so I figure I have a decent shot at good seats. I paid about $140 each for tickets to see Hannah Montana back in December, so I don't want to get burned again. 10:00 AM rolls around and the website is overloaded. Server is giving a timeout message. After frantically hitting refresh for 12 minutes, I get my password and am re-directed to TicketMaster. The first set of tix is in the 400's! Yuck. I cancel and go back. I'm getting section 306 at Darien Lake. Cancel . . . refresh . . . 3 more time, still section 306 . . . Not the worst seats, but not what you would expect 12 minutes into a pre-sale. So I buy them. She gets to go with her little friends, but I would like to have scored better seats . . . Stubhub and e-bay already have tickets in the 100 and 200 levels selling for $200 - $400 per seat . . . I am all for free enterprise and really do not want to see government intervention into this, but the software used by brokers to override the ticket limits and bypass the login process at ticketmaster and other sites ought to be illegal. If you want to buy tix and sell 'em after market, go ahead . . . but put me on a level playing field with the brokers so I don't have to pony up $200 for tickets to what will be a kids event.
