  1. This is what I think about the offense; The Bills are changing from an offense that played not to lose to an offense that wants to win. The players have already said they are intrigued by Gailey's playbook. The Bills are making a major change to a 3-4 and that is a huge question mark. However, I also think they are going from a read and react system to an attacking defense. Every player I can remember interviewed about the difference has said they prefer an attacking D. The new D coordinator has one of the best secondaries in the league to work with. If the Bills can force a lot of 4th and 6 type situations the D should come up big. Out of the four headed QB monster the Bills have to have one guy step up and be in the top 15 of QB's. Edwards has a lot more to give and he's with an OC/HC who knows how to use QB's to the best of their ability. (IMO, Fair chance of happening) At RB Lynch has to keep his mouth shut, behave well and work as hard as he said he will in a recent interview. Fred Jackson needs to maintain if not improve his level of play. CJ Spiller has to turn out as advertised. (Very good chance of happening) The WR corps is either great or very week. There isn't a lot known about these guys right now. If Gailey can get Evans the ball look for a lot more success than last year. (the reason I say that is if the ball is getting to Evans consistently it probably means they are stretching the field and with the Bills RB's a D that's playing off the line can only help) James Hardy, he could be a great player, good player, bust player. Which one he becomes will greatly influence the teams success. There is so little film on him to work with it's baffling. Lee Evans, needs a QB and OC who can get him the ball consistently. There is no question about his ability. (I'd say a better than average chance of happening.) Roscoe Parrish, needs to maintain a high level of PR. We'll also probably find out if he's any good out of the slot. I think Gailey will at least give him a chance. If he can do half of what Wes Welker does it would be a very good thing for the offense. I really don't think RP has ever been given a good chance to do that. (I'm of the mind that he probably won't do well as a slot player.) Chris Johnson, has to push really hard to get the #2 spot and motivate Hardy to do better too. Everything about Johnson so far has been positive. The question is if he's an above average #2 receiver. Somebody has to come out as a legitimate #2 receiver. (I'd give that a better than average chance.) Chad Jackson, has to find the ability to maximize the potential he had coming out of college, of course he may already have maxed out. (I'm giving slim odds to him being anymore than a fourth or 5th receiver. He could even be cut.) Marcus Easley has to be a solid receiver this year. He has only scratched the surface of his talent. If he can adjust to the NFL and keep improving then he may eventually become a top 10 receiver. (His inexperience is the worst thing going for him. Hopefully he can become a solid #3 receiver this year. Too many questions for me to evaluate) Out of Naaman Roosevelt, David Nelson and Donald Jones a solid player has to emerge. (Good chance of happening.) The offensive line has so many questions it's difficult to evaluate. I think the reason Gailey wants to change to a zone blocking scheme is because he knows it's the best fit for his players. A LOT depends on how the guys take to the new system. If Wood comes back just as strong and just as good as last year then that's one line position with a solid player. The same can be said of Levitre. DB, (not Deerball) has been a victim of injuries and poor coaching. If the zone blocking scheme works for Bell and the new trainers can keep him healthy he should be solid. Not great but solid. Hangartner has to be a much better C this year than he was last year. If Wood is completely healthy the team would probably be better off putting Wood at C and moving Hangartner to G. It wouldn't surprise me if Gailey keeps Hangartner at C. With a whole new blocking scheme going Gailey will probably want the most experienced player making the calls. Cornell Green has to be a legitimate starter. Hopefully one of the young guys will beat him for the spot. Jamon Meredith was pegged as a third rounder in the 2009 draft but he went in the fifth round to GB. The guy has talent there's no question about that. The question is, can he translate it to the NFL? If he was sitting on the PS because GB thought they could bring him along then he could surprise this year. At least two solid players and backups need to be found among the rest of the guys. Derek Schouman is a good blocking TE and fair receiver, Shawn Nelson is a better receiver but not as good blocking. I think Nelson will show improvement in his blocking this year. For once in a long time I think the Bills have a good TE corp. I think the biggest factor for the year is how the O-Line takes to the zone blocking scheme. If they can run it at an average level look for big things from Buffalo's offense this year.
  2. I wouldn't go that far but Gailey's ability to game plan for the offense and the much better conditioning program should make a BIG difference.
  3. This is the best story about Steve Wynn; Link Steve Wynn to Keep Picasso He Damaged Associated Press Wednesday, October 18, 2006 LAS VEGAS, Oct. 17 -- Casino mogul Steve Wynn will keep and restore a Pablo Picasso painting that he accidentally damaged shortly after he had agreed to sell it for a record $139 million, an aide said Tuesday. Wynn was showing the painting, called "Le Reve" ("The Dream"), to guests in his office this month at Wynn Las Vegas when he struck the painting with his right elbow, spokeswoman Denise Randazzo said. Wynn, who often gestures with his hands when he speaks, has retinitis pigmentosa, an eye disease that affects peripheral vision. He was traveling Tuesday and unavailable for comment.
  4. Well at least to me this is no surprise. I've felt the Bills injuries of the last few years were conditioning related. I guess we'll see if the tougher training regimen leads to fewer injuries. I think it will. It seems like people don't want hard discipline and high expectations but, IMO, they really do. Hearing about this just makes me more sure than ever that the Bills will better last seasons record this year. As far as the DW detractors go, shut up and move on. DW was drafted because the Bills were going to a cover 2 defense. They needed a safety. A DL was less important at that time. How many of you wished Michael Huff had lasted til the Bills pick?
  5. I just want to interject here that you all are Jackasses!! Especially you!!
  6. Good guy! It'll be interesting when the Bills play the Bears this year because his father is a coach for Chicago.
  7. This does seem to bode well for a Lynch trade.
  8. Hey somebody above said they had issued the release notice but then retracted it. I did find another link to go with yours; Link Wow Seattle spent a fourth and sixth for him and Kevin Vickerson. Vickerson is almost worthless so they gave up fourth rounder for nothing it seems. Looks like Pete Carroll is back to his stupid way of running an NFL franchise.
  9. Was he cut or just getting a four game suspension? The four game suspension has been confirmed. It's just the cutting I have yet to verify.
  10. You have no idea how creamescicles are made do you.
  11. Fixed! Fixed!
  12. Well I'd call him a pedophile.
  13. That's how to treat guys in the military!
  14. But no one's jamming their transmissions.
  15. It has nothing to do with her ability to hold office. Somehow she thinks it does. Good one. What would you call somebody looking in the window of a 14 year old girl?
  16. BTW, in his first year Chris Johnson avg. 16 carries a game and 3 receptions per game. Last year he averaged 22 carries per game and 3 receptions. This is a measuring stick to put CJ Spiller next to, JMO.
  17. I thought he meant Chris Johnson at first too but he's talking about Spiller.
  18. BTW, here's what the actress who played the downs syndrome girl had to say about it; Update: It should be noted that Friedman also has Down Syndrome. Of additional interest, according to the website Palingates, the Times edited her e-mail message. The following apparently is the complete text: My name is Andrea Fay Friedman. I was born with Down syndrome. I played the role of Ellen on the "Extra Large Medium" episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine's day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in " Smudge" but I was a blonde in "Life Goes On". I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line "I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska" was very funny. I think the word is "sarcasm". In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.
  19. All of the stuff implying he's a pedophile is just another attempt to make this into another David Letterman media blitz. Everybody is against her and only her supporters can understand her pain. This one will fail and just as her attack on Family Guy did. Fox's animated series Family Guy thrives on being offensive, and Sunday's episode -- in which teenage son Chris dates a girl with Down syndrome -- is a prime example of the show's twisted "yes, we're going there" humor. But not everyone was laughing. Sarah Palin (the butt of a joke in the episode) called the episode a "kick in the gut" and posted a strongly worded Facebook rant from daughter Bristol, calling Family Guy's writers "heartless jerks." __________________________________ The show's most convincing defender is Huffington Post writer Ellen Seidman, the mother of a child with cerebral palsy. In an editorial, Seidman applauds the episode for spreading the message that "people with disabilities are just like everyone else," and says "the genius of this episode is that it made a girl with Down syndrome seem like just another feisty teenager with 'tude." Ya gotta give her credit for trying though, maybe?
  20. I know, I'm saying that those exact words are all she should have said.
  21. I said I thought this guy went too far so I agree with you that some people can't take the heat. In this case the heat is from a reporter. IMO, the best answer she could have given would've been "Well if he's watching our house he'll be bored to tears." She's only using these things to get face time in the media. She keeps crying about how almost nobody respects her. She's trying to milk the disrespected underdog to the hilt. Unfortunately a lot of people are buying her BS.
  22. I guess the same could be said about the WR position.
  23. I don't know how you can call a bonehead moment worse than becoming a deer in the headlights and saying a lot of words but in fact saying nothing. I can tell you that I read the CNN site daily, I read the Demagogue and Comical a few times a week and I just ordered a subscription to TIME. It's not a hard question. There are three options I see here: One is that she doesn't remember what she reads. Another is that she doesn't read anything. And Another is that she reads a lot of stuff she doesn't want people to know about. None of those speak well of her. JMO
  24. She is calling the guy a pedophile though not in so many words and making a sarcastic joke about his looking into her youngest daughters bedroom. When David Letterman made a joke about her daughter Bristol and she turned around and pretended to be aghast because it was actually Piper at the game. In her poorly concealed politically media whoring way, she made a stink about it. She wanted Letterman fired. She made a joke about keeping him away from 14 year old girls. It seems that her defense to stuff is to call anyone a pedophile to get attention.
  25. Nothing we didn't miss. Very Much So!! No I honestly believe you miss a lot and I don't mean just at this board either.
