  1. After 4 votes it's running 50/50. I think the Cardinals win it because it seems no defense rattles Warner and the Cardinals have a much better receiving corp. Fitzgerald has been amazing so far in the playoffs. I think the Cardinals D is good enough to keep Pittsburgh out of the endzone pretty well.
  2. Link McGahee, who missed most of training camp after knee surgery and had a slow start to the regular season, was resting at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital last night with movement in all his limbs and was "neurologically intact," a team spokesman said. McGahee was taken off on a stretcher with 3:29 remaining in his team's 23-14 AFC championship loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field. Team doctor Leigh Ann Curl was staying in Pittsburgh with McGahee.
  3. You're right. After reviewing that it did end up helmet to helmet but I don't believe it was intentional. WTF does that have to do with someone who's sick enough to be indifferent about a person being frighteningly injured. Dude, humanity is more important than entertainment. McGahee is a jerk but not so much he deserves that. You need to do some serious soul searching. He can reread it a million times and I don't think it will sink in. It's a character flaw that can't be reconciled with reading. I agree it wasn't intentional. Clark was really upset on the sidelines. It reminded me of how bad Dominic Hixon felt about the KE hit.
  4. -Biotch!!
  5. No, I'm posting from Rochester. Not Egypt.
  6. I hope he retires and goes out on top. No way first ballot. Great players elevate the players around them. I think he definitely fits into that category. BTW, where are the people who said Buffalo was idiotic for passing on Leinart?
  7. It wasn't helmet to helmet IMO. He lead with his shoulder and it was such a violent hit the helmets met. Nobody deserves that. It's a game, only a game. The same one I saw. I was holding my breath and thinking all about Kevin Everett. Thank God his hands and legs were moving. I'm hoping it was just a stinger. Exactly.
  8. Was the non-call on Avant BS or what? He was getting brutally mugged before the ball was in his hands!! Maybe I'm wrong but that seemed horrendous!!

  10. Mitch Hedberg was funny as hell too! Sadly, he committed suicide.
  11. Link Died in 1994. He was really funny.
  12. "How did Elaine know you paid for the big salad?"
  13. Some like it hot is a very funny movie! Marilyn Monroe too!! When Harry met Sally, Thelma and Louise and A League of Their Own (There's no crying in baseball!!!!!) I demonstrated to a female friend once in a BBV that I could tell her the whole plot of "The wedding planner" just by looking at the cover box. She had already seen it and I was 90% right.
  14. Add two more: Jim Kelly. I've always thought that when douchebags whine about those things. IMO, this is a foot in the door to make those states start thinking about new stadiums. Schumer and Kelly don't want the Bills to leave and so if they can lobby hard enough then the state may pony up the bucks to keep the Bills here. I agree with those who think J-ville will probably be the first to move.
  15. Bummer Pooj. Good luck!
  16. Carefree Highway! GL is not gay.
  17. Side arm delivery? I haven't seen that.
  18. Amen, brutha! We gotta keep these idiot fundamentalists from taking our fun!!!
  19. January 16: General Interest 1919 : Prohibition takes effect The 18th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, prohibiting the "manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors for beverage purposes," is ratified on this day in 1919 and becomes the law of the land. The movement for the prohibition of alcohol began in the early 19th century, when Americans concerned about the adverse effects of drinking began forming temperance societies. By the late 19th century, these groups had become a powerful political force, campaigning on the state level and calling for total national abstinence. In December 1917, the 18th Amendment, also known as the Prohibition Amendment, was passed by Congress and sent to the states for ratification. Prohibition took effect in January 1919. Nine months later, Congress passed the Volstead Act, or National Prohibition Act, over President Woodrow Wilson's veto. The Volstead Act provided for the enforcement of prohibition, including the creation of a special unit of the Treasury Department. Despite a vigorous effort by law-enforcement agencies, the Volstead Act failed to prevent the large-scale distribution of alcoholic beverages, and organized crime flourished in America. In 1933, the 21st Amendment to the Constitution was passed and ratified, repealing prohibition. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After the repeal of the Amendment nobody has been able to learn a lesson from that and apply it to the "war on drugs."
  20. That's weird. I would have bet a million dollars he was gay. or it had been created by a woman. Reminds me of Smithers "Malibu Stacey" collection.
  21. Kate Bush "Hounds of love" Great album. I don't care what anyone says! She's done some great stuff with Gabriel as duet partner ("Don't Give Up" from So) and some backing vocals on PG melting face.
  22. How the hell could it freeze open? It's probably not freezing it's probably a problem with the door hinge. You're just assuming because it's so cold that the temperature has something to do with it.
  23. In 2000, the Southern Poverty Law Center won a $6.3 million verdict against the Aryan Nations that forced the organization to give up its 20-acre compound in Idaho. The center won its most recent case last November, getting $2.5 million from the Imperial Klans of America on behalf of a teenager assaulted by Klan members in rural Kentucky. Morris Dees, who founded the SPLC, is one of my heroes. Amazing story and an amazing man! My concern is that if this is held up in the courts that the gangs will simply move out of LA county and into another town.
