Corey Smith-DL- Lions Mar. 3 - 4:33 pm et The Coast Guard announced that it will end its search for NFL players Corey Smith and Marquis Cooper and former college player Will Bleakley at 6:30 ET Tuesday. A life vest and cooler were found near where Nick Schuyler was rescued, but he is currently the lone survivor. The Coast Guard officially calls the hunt "suspended," but it won't resume barring an unexpected break. "Any search and rescue case where we have to stop is disappointing," Capt. Timothy Close said. "I think the families understood we put in a tremendous effort." Asked why the search was halted, Close said "It has to do with our confidence level that we would found anybody on the surface level at this point." OMFG!!! McD's is out of McNuggets! Call 911!
Steely Dan replied to /dev/null's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm not defending her but, McDonald's was stupid to not give her a refund when they found out they were out of McNuggets. It's just insane they never did that. Personally, I would have phoned in a fire for that address. That way you get fireman, cops and EMT's to pressure them into a refund. -
Mr. MaGoo has that problem.

For all of you who want Jason Peters RESIGNED
Steely Dan replied to Poeticlaw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Buffalo handled it just like they should have. They sent a clear a message that holding out will not get you a new contract that year. They also realized that his pay is far away from what it should be and are taking care of that now. That's a great way to attract FA's. They see the best player on the Bills being effed with and say; "Man, I want to play there!!" BTW, I'm glad to see that you are smarter than the Pro-Bowl voters. You should apply for a job in the Bills scouting dept. Jason Peters Tackle 7/15/2006: Signed a five-year, $15 million contract. The deal included $5.75 million in first-year bonuses. 2009: $2.95 million, 2010: $3.4 million, 2011: Free Agent Matt Light Tackle 10/5/2004: Signed a six-year, $27.3 million contract. The deal includes $9 million in bonuses. 2009: $4.25 million, 2010: $4.5 million, 2011: Free Agent Orlando Pace Tackle 3/16/2005: Signed a seven-year, $52.9 million contract. The deal included a $15 million signing bonus. 2009: $5.975 million, 2010: $7.175 million, 2011: $8.375 million, 2012: Free Agent. Cap charge: $9 million (2009). Joe Thomas Tackle 7/26/2007: Signed a five-year, $42.5 million contract. The deal contains $23 million guaranteed, including a $12.8 million signing bonus and a $3 million roster bonus in the second year. 2009: $1 million (+ $3.44 million roster bonus), 2010: $4.7 million, 2011: $8 million, 2012: $2.23 million (Voidable Year), 2013: Free Agent Food for thought. -

I'm with ya. Pro Bowl LT's dont' grow on trees. They are very hard to find and next to QB are arguably the most important position on the team. With TE being brittle it's very important to keep a guy like Peters. Somebody above said some of his sacks can be blamed on Dockery and I think that's why Buffalo let him go. If the Bills manage to swing a trade for Waters people would be singing his praises again. Even if they get an average LG Peters will excel again. I'm willing to say that last year was an aberration and Peters will be back to old form this year. I just hope his contract has significant bonus' for offseason participation at the Bills facility. -
Thank you. Bryce Paup and Chris Spielman come to mind first. Price was a trade.

Pakistani Attack On Sri Lankan Cricket Team, 6 dead.
Steely Dan replied to Steely Dan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
It's payback for the Sri Lakan team running up the score on the Taliban team last year.* *I shouldn't joke about this it's a tragedy but I can't help myself. I'm a terrible person. -
Link ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (CNN) -- At least six security personnel were killed and eight members of Sri Lanka's cricket team hurt -- including two with gunshot wounds -- in an attack Tuesday on the team's bus by gunmen in Lahore, Pakistan. A video grab shows a suspected gunman near Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan, Tuesday. The Sri Lankan players were traveling to the city's Gaddafi Stadium for the third day of the second test match against Pakistan at around 9 a.m. local time (11 p.m. ET) when the attack occurred. _________________________ Pakistan, which is battling Islamist and Taliban insurgents in its North West Frontier Province, has struggled to attract visiting cricket teams in recent years because of security concerns.Video Watch how attack strikes at legitimacy of Pakistani government » The current test series with Sri Lanka is the Pakistani team's first since touring India in 2007. In 2002 a car bomb exploded outside a hotel where the New Zealand cricket team was staying. Last year Australia canceled a proposed tour in the wake of a series of suicide bombings. The International Cricket Council was also forced to postpone the high-profile ICC Champions Trophy after five of the eight participants pulled out. Geez, it's only a game.

That story is useless without pictures. I was in the store a long time ago and I saw a woman actually pull her money out of her bra like a floozy does in the movies. I never realized that in real life women did that.

It's great that you love dogs but I always dated pretty girls. You wonder what dogs dream about when that happens. As that pooch did they often will turn and bite if they are disturbed. Are they being pursued by a gang of dogs or what?

IMO, it coincided with the corporate take overs. The news business was looked at as a business full of fat and that if severe cuts were made it would become a profitable business but it was the killer blow to accurate news reporting. In areas where there would have been three reporters to verify a story there was only one and then once a news source put something out all the other news outlets would grab it without investigating on their own. Whitehouse press releases are pretty much taken and slightly re-worded and printed without any fact checking. If Nixon were President nobody would let Woodward and Bernstein spend so much time on one story that may or may not lead to a giant cover up. JMO HLN's i-reports are just a way to get free footage of events that happen. Rather than pay for footage of events they get dupes to send it in free for only the mention of their name on TV. Damn you Dev (shaking fist) You beat me to it!!

Only ever buy past players jersey's. If you buy a JP jersey like I did you can lose $90. I have a Thurman and Reed jersey. JCpenny's had a good deal on a Lynch jersey so I have that too but you never know how a player will turn out until after they retire.

Chiefs not exactly denying a possible Waters trade...
Steely Dan replied to BuffaloBlood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's always a price that can be met. The question is will it be a price the Bills will meet. Also Pioli may not want to eff over the Pets* by trading him to Buffalo. After all they just gave him a great deal on a QB and LB. -

There is a rumor from Rotoworld that the Bills are talking to the Chiefs about this. Brian Waters-G- Chiefs Mar. 1 - 8:24 pm et The Bills are interested in disgruntled Chiefs G Brian Waters, a "trusted source" tells Scout.com. Like Shaun Rogers in Cleveland, Waters is upset with the new coaching staff and front office, which wouldn't meet with him one-on-one. Buffalo could use the help after releasing Derrick Dockery. Waters can play center and guard. Source: scout.com Related: Bills -

That's because your girlfriend can only get one pounding from you.

Well if JP felt he was better than the Bills thought and deserved his starting job back this should send a message to him. He's a great guy. If you met him in a bar he'd be a great guy. Unfortunately he doesn't have the stuff to be an NFL quarterback right now. To be honest I thought there'd be a lot more interest in him by now.
