  1. You obviously have no clue what you're talking about. Fitzpatrick had a 70.0 QB rating last year. IIRC, Grossman had a 59.7 QB rating last year. The last game of 2007 against the Packers he had 0.0 rating. I repeat a 0.0 rating. If you think Grossman would be better than Fitzpatrick you have no idea what you're talking about.
  2. Mitchell and Dockery go against that statement and Stroud goes against the next. IIRC, Langston Walker was a starter too. This isn't meant for you specifically but Dockery's contract dispels the myth of Ralph being cheap too.
  3. I hope the negative Nellies at least see this as Buffalo trying to make a deal no matter how slight.
  4. Chiefs acquired Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel in exchange for the 34th overall pick in the 2009 draft pick. Patriots* fans won't be happy, but speculation is that New England* preferred the second-round pick over the third overall because of the contract value. They have three second-round picks now and also likely felt pressure to get Cassel's cap number off the books quickly to move forward in free agency. Clearly, the couldn't get a better deal elsewhere and they are confident in Tom Brady's health. Cassel was not a lock to have success everywhere, but he's set up as a long-term fantasy starter with Scott Pioli and coach Todd Haley playing to his strengths. The Chiefs will likely incorporate a pass-first, shotgun-heavy offense. This is great news for Dwayne Bowe and company. Salaries for the top 10 picks are outrageous!
  5. Well then you're an idiot who doesn't look at salaries.
  6. You can say that about 31 teams in the league. Every fan wants a SB ring. Make the playoffs for a 100 years and it doesn't matter. The problem is that constant whining and bitching gets old very fast. If you're a fan you should have something positive to say once in awhile.
  7. ...but it's really annoying. Just tell me what the thread is about on the main line. Are you trying to up the views thread count. There are too many. The Bills sign.... off on a letter to Santa or some such crap.
  8. + Very close to 'Nuff said. I'd add Steelers and Ravens to justify those thoughts. The guy was coming off an injury that usually takes two years to completely heal before a player gets his speed back. He was a 4th round pick!! He's not making that much money. He's at least worth that money as a backup. Ko Simpson Defensive Back 7/23/2006: Signed a four-year, $2.13 million contract. The deal included a $465,000 signing bonus. 2009: $530,000, 2010: Free Agent
  9. Free agent CB Adam "Pacman" Jones has found a new football team, of sorts. He'll appear as one of the "Pros" on "Pros vs. Joes 4: All-Stars" on Spike TV. Jones may not be hearing from NFL teams anytime soon, so he should get paid however he can. Source: Dallas Morning News Former Dallas Cowboy Pacman Jones' next football team will be on reality TV 04:51 PM CST on Friday, February 27, 2009 The Associated Press Adam "Pacman" Jones landed a new team Friday. Sort of. On the opening day of the NFL's free agent signing period, Jones instead was on vacation in Puerto Rico and talking about his role on the upcoming reality TV show "Pros vs. Joes 4: All Stars." His marketing representative refused to allow Jones to comment about what's next in his real playing career, but earlier in the interview Jones declared, "I'm definitely not at the end of my career. I'm basically just getting it going." The 25-year-old Jones is by far the youngest among the six NFL and six NBA stars who will compete against regular guys in the latest installment of the Spike TV show. All others are either retired or close to it. "It's a good show," Jones said. "Hopefully I can bring a little excitement to it."
  10. I will bet a billion dollars that the Bills finish better than 2-14. What a silly prediction. Successful teams are worth a lot more without regard to the salaries of players. What he said.
  11. The guy is 31 and not much better than what is on the team now. I think Steve Johnson is going to step up this year. I would've preferred to see them take the money they may end up giving him and have used it on Brown. Buffalo has greater needs than a WR. Some players have a greater risk of injury compared to other players due to past track record. Coles falls into that category IMO. What he said.
  12. Albert Haynesworth-DL- Redskins Feb. 27 - 10:02 pm et ESPN.com's Chris Mortensen reports that Albert Haynesworth's deal with the Redskins is effectively for four years, $48 million. The $100 million figure looks good to his agent's potential clients, but Haynesworth isn't likely to see the last half of the contract. Haynesworth is due a $29 million "poison pill" in salary and bonuses in 2013, his age 32 season. It's possible that the contract will be renegotiated down the road, but the important number for Haynesworth is the $41 million in guarantees.
  13. Yes. Shhhh, that will only P.O. the negative Nellies. Common sense has very little place here. Shhhh, that will only P.O. the negative Nellies. Common sense has very little place here. Who the eff cares about his avg. per pass? If the guy can get to the red zone and punch it in then he's better than JP. Short pass drives give the defense more time to rest. This guy is a MUCH better answer than JP. Shhhh, that will only P.O. the negative Nellies. Common sense has very little place here. Rosenfels wants to be a starter and deserves to be. 14. I'd give it a 70-30 chance. I'm guessing he gets very lazy and misses a lot of time due to injury. I don't want to squeak into the playoffs I want a team that can win it all. The Bills haven't been doing that but neither has Snyder. He spends like a drunken sailor and has nothing to show for it. So people get on Ralph for not shelling out huge contracts and still losing. Ralph isn't a dimwit. When Ralph hired Donahoe everybody in the league and all of the talking heads, that I can remember, thought it was a great idea. When he traded for Bledsoe everybody thought it was a great idea etc. etc. things haven't worked out but he IS trying. He's just not being a foolish idiot like Snyder. Exactly my point above. A lot of people don't care about the money they just want big names on the team and that's not a good way to win. The Steelers are the perfect example. They don't break the bank on FA's and have an incredible scouting department and the same goes for the Ravens. Money doesn't buy great teams. Great scouting does. Unfortunately it seems that even with Modrak's reputation as a great scout things are amiss in the scouting department. It's funny 'cause it's true. No, the Yankees have a bunch of WS rings to show for their spending.
  15. It mystifies me too? Dockery is getting way more dough than he deserves. It's a bout $40 million so far IIRC. (guesstimating)
  16. In my opinion it's center and I have no idea at all why the Bills feel it's an unimportant position. They make the line calls and they keep the nose tackle from killing the QB and provide the push up the middle on running plays. I just don't get it.
  17. (In my best Crocodile Dundee) That's not a bump. This is a bump!
  18. gordong do you have any new news?
  19. That's about perfect with what I'd say too. It will be interesting to see what he ends up getting. BTW, where's the dingus from Billzone who made those predictions about the FA period? I don't mean gordong
  20. He hasn't signed anywhere yet. It doesn't mean he's definitely not coming back. Another team may not offer enough for him to want to leave. You and I have absolutely no control over the FO moves. So I'll keep wearing my rose colored glasses because I'm a Bills fan.
  21. IMO, $7 million a year isn't too much for 3-4 specialist. He's young and improving and excels at playing against the majority of Bills opponents defensive schemes.
