  1. "By a Nose" is great. I really liked Tasker's book but I guess I'm more of a homer than you. Kevin Everett's book is good too. Marv Levy's book is really great. It covers his whole life.
  2. I'm sure there will be an escalator clause in each contract for rookies reaching certain goals before the end of their first contracts.
  3. Outstanding! Kelly grew up and Flutie, at age 40, was still very immature. Burkett was cut because he was a Flutiesk dick. After the one year the Bills put it all together as a team. I don't recall Kelly blaming anyone after that season. Steve Tasker talks about that year in his football biography. It was a one year thing and they all became a very close team after that. Isn't it odd how Jim Kelly stayed with one NFL team his whole career? 'Nuff said. Whoa, whoa, whoa he's in the Canadian League HOF. Which is like being the tallest midget.
  4. Seems like he's good guy Signed by Bills for help Turns out he's A-hole
  5. I nosed this would happen.
  6. YA THINK!! I'm still going with Jermajesty.
  7. The site should be called; "Top Shelf; Where Doug Can't Reach The Cookies" So BG has some detractors. Since he came down hard on Flutie it's not surprising.
  8. I went to the bar and honored the guys, about to sit at the bar, by offering to push in their stool for them. Shouldn't have done that. Opened a whole Pandora's box that would have been better left closed.
  9. See above article. Missed a few. Fixed!
  10. Oh, BTW; They are gonna potty big time!! Link
  11. Beat me to it. The best one I've heard is he wants to be melted into leggos so little boys can play with him. Best one I've heard yet. I don't know about that. I'm pretty sure that there is nobody and I mean nobody that is on this earth that could possibly be even close to looking like he did.
  12. It doesn't surprise me that your fantasy is to screw the pooch! Here's some more info; LENGTH OF TIME DETECTED: Blood: Delta-9-THC concentration usually drops below 5 ng/mL within 3-4 hours post dose. = 2 -3+ days post dose. Frequent users may have longer detection times. Urine: 11-nor-9-carboxy-delta-9-THC (inactive metabolite) detectable several days to several weeks, seen up to 3 months on an extremely heavy user. THC is a lipid soluble drug, therefore stores in the fat in the body and the amount of time it takes to clear the system is dependent on how much drug was used and over what period of time the drug is used. Low levels of Delta-9-THC may also be detected. DURATION OF EFFECTS: Approximately 2-5 hours (route of administration and dose dependant).
  13. How much would hot sausages cost?
  14. The latest contracts are pretty close to guaranteed contracts when you consider the guaranteed monies they now include anyway. I don't think there would be that much difference.
  15. (In my best Oscar LeRoy) Jackass!
  16. Why would I go to a game to see a player Poppinga all over the field?
  17. This time around I think Ralph and Brown will get a lot more respect in their analysis of the deal. They'd better. When it comes to who can afford to wait out the longest the owners have a huge advantage, IMO. For most of these guys their teams are an expensive toy to play with. They make their money from the other enterprises that put them in the position of being able to afford a team in the first place. Any owner who relies on his team for his income really makes the argument that the owners a losing money a bit hard to swallow. The players are millionaires, for the most part, but many of them spend almost more than make. The guys who spend wisely can have families and other interests that depend on a regular check. They are in no way as capable to weather a long holdout/lockout. I agree, the union would be opening a huge can of worms that could take years of litigation to fix. The players cannot stand a protracted holdout. Decertification is an empty threat. I see both sides of this argument but the SCOTUS would be making a huge reversal if they overturned it. IMO, the new agreement will include/what I'd like to see: * A larger donation by the owners to the pension fund. * A rookie salary cap. Even though rookie salaries help the vets, somewhat, I'm sure it grinds the gears of the vets who have put in a lot of time to earn their jobs. Anyway, contracts like Albert Haynesworth's will always be raising the bar. * Guaranteed contracts in exchange for a slightly reduced %age of revenue. * An accounting method that will allow teams to take players who are no longer in the NFL off the cap book. * A method of accounting that can make part of a trade the ability for the team acquiring the player to take the cap amortization as part of the deal. It would have to be agreed to by both teams but it would be a trade option. * A good deal for all teams, small market and big market. * A caveat that if the Bills are moved out of Buffalo the whole league has to disband. I'd be surprised if there is a lockout/holdout. It does neither side any good. If they can't agree by the deadline they will probably continue to function under the old agreement until a new one can be hammered out. JMO
  18. Jermajesty Jackson beats 'em all so far. JMO
  19. That beats Prince Michael for weirdness.
  20. Linky Jackson/Rowe Not the Biological Parents Posted Jun 30th 2009 12:00PM by TMZ Staff We've learned Michael Jackson was not the biological father of any of his children. And Debbie Rowe is not the biological mother of the two kids she bore for Michael. All three children were conceived in vitro -- outside the womb. Multiple sources deeply connected to the births tell us Michael was not the sperm donor for any of his kids. Debbie's eggs were not used. She was merely the surrogate, and paid well for her services in the births of Michael Jr. and Paris. In the case of Prince Michael II (the youngest), we're told the surrogate was never told of the identity of the "receiving parent" -- Michael Jackson. Three days after Prince was born at Grossmont Hospital in San Diego County, Jackson's lawyer came to the hospital to pick the baby up and deliver him to Michael. We do not know if Jackson chose the sperm or egg donors or if he even knew who they were. Although Rowe is not the biological mother, it's not a slam dunk that she would lose a custody battle. This type of case has never been litigated in California courts. Since Rowe was married to Jackson when Michael Jr. and Paris were born, there's a presumption that she's the biological parent. That presumption can be rebutted by other evidence. We know there are documents outlining the whole arrangement for the birth of all three kids. Nonetheless, it's still an open issue with the courts. UH-OH!! Did he forget to adopt them kids!!!
