  1. Soooo True, Keiper doesn't like our draft board. The Bills do reach but the results speak for themsleves. The way I see it, if you like a guy and he fits your scheme, go get his a$$, Mel Keiper's board be damned!
  2. The bills are about to be on the clock. Getting kinda nervous. Looks like Rivers goes to CIN, that means NE probably goes Albert or McKelvin. So the Bills are lookng at Thomas, Rodger-Cromartie, Philip Merling ... I hope they trade down.
  3. It's coming up ... I like the way the draft is shaping up so far. I don't like that NE has popped into the 10th slot ahead of us. If the Bills were targeting a CB and smokescreening the WR talk, NE will pick our pocket.
  4. They just invested a ton of money into the offensive line. If we're not going WR/CB, I'd like to see them grab Derrick HArvey or Philip Merling at Defensive end.
  5. I'm glad this situation is playing out on another team, but I feel for the Bengals fans. I hope CIN does stick to their guns, make him sit out, play arena ball, when players start acting like two-year-olds, that how they should be dealt with.
  6. I am very pleased with the way the Marv Levy era is shaping up in Buffalo. His commitment to the trenches is clearly going to make us a competitive football team next year. If they can grab a defensive lineman and a linebacker to round out free agaency, I will very much look forward to this years draft.
  7. This is insanity. You don't give an overrated corner an 8yr $80 million dollar deal. Nate is a solid corner, but he is no Champ Bailey. The Bills were right to let that one go.
  8. ... or Tutan Reyes. I don't know. It does concern me that we've signed an offensive tackle from the Oakland Raiders. I don't remember Andrew Walter, or Marquis Tuiososopo or Aaron Brooks tearing through NFL Defenses last year. LaMont Jordan wasn't a barn burner either next year.
  9. This rebuilt offensive line is Willis McGahee's ticket to the Hall of Fame. If I'm Willis, I would not pass up the opportunity to run behind these hogs for 16 games a season for the next 5 years. This is the type of line we haven't seen in Buffalo since the days of Hull, Wolford, Ritcher, and Ballard. The Buffalo Bills WILL run the ball in 2007, they will run a conservative gameplan with JP Losman just back there focused on not losing the game. Whether it's Willis McGahee or Marshawn Lynch, we will be competitive.
  10. I think the Bills have really created a problem for themselves by signing Chris Kelsay to this extremely lucrative contract that averages him $5.75mil per year. Aaron Schoebel, our pro bowler with 14 sacks last year is making $3.8mil per year. Kelsay had 5.5 sack last year as he shared time with Ryan Denney on the other side of Schoebel. If I'm Aaron Schoebel, after carrying Kelsay on my back all season, I want a new contract.
  11. We should have taken Larry Johnson when we had the chance. That guy is a beast at the running back position ... Willis has struggled to be average.
  12. Hockey isn't even the number four sport in terms of popularity in the United States. Like it of not it's NASCAR. Hockey is popular in about 8 cities in this country. For the most part the rest of this nation doesn't place hockey in the same category oas the other four sports. College athletics propbably rank higher in popularity than hockey.
  13. This is from fanball.com: “We're still scratching our heads as to why this offensive genius is continually forced to win with defense, but apparently his 75-53 record proves that he's a solid leader. Billick will be back for another season, and is planning on calling plays again.” I think this is a credit to Brian Billick the coach. It shows this guy is not a system coach that shoehorns his players into the only established system he knows. This guy takes what he has on his roster and develops formulates the best plan of attack, based on personnel that will win games. This is how to be successful in the NFL. Coaches always emphasize their philosophies on the game of football, but it takes a real genius to push his philosophy aside in favor of a system that suits the unique talents he has on his roster.
  14. I like Aikman, I like Boomer ... can't stand Joe Buck.
  15. If anyone can convince Ralph that money needs to be spent in order to improve the team it's Marv Levy. I think Ralph trusts his judgement and will spend the money if Marv can find the right mix of FA's.
  16. It's amazing to me how the golden boy, Tom Brady can make Pro Bowl Wide receivers out of Reche Caldwell and Jabbar Gaffney. What's that about?
  17. In a perfect world, the Saints would meet the Indianapolis colts in Super Bowl XLI. But in the real world, the patriots will steam roll through Peyton Manning and the Colts, as Bellichick OWNS Tony Dungy, right on to a win in the Super Bowl. Let the Coronation begin! Dennis Green will provide the Crowns.
  18. Unbelievable!!! Everybody prepare yourselves the the Bellichick / Brady media lovefest because New England will win the Super Bowl ... nothing is going to stop that and the National Media is ready with the "crowns".
  19. Are you actually suggesting we replace a young back about to enter the prime years of his career with "Fragile" Freddie who can 't make it through a season without sitting out a game or two. Isn't he nearing 40? That's ludacris...
  20. I don't think Porter is our answer. When guys start reaching the other side of 30, let someone else sign 'em for their golden years of decline. I think the middle linebacker position can be addressed in the draft ... guys like Sam Cowart, Zach Thomas, we can find linebacker talent in the draft. I'm pretty sure Fletcher is gone ... unfortunately TKO may no be that far behind him. I feel bad for Spikes ... he left a losing franchise to join another in decline.
  21. I don't think it's a bad idea to draft another back. With Drew "Show me the Money" Rosenhaus at the helm ... Willis could decide he wants to hold out or ask for a trade. Hold on folks, we could be witnessing the making of TO 2.
  22. It's gotta be a wide body that we grab at #12. How good would Tommie Harris or Jordan Gross have looked in a Buffalo Bills uniform? The offensive skill positions look attractive, but if we had stud lines on both sides of the ball it makes the skill positions much more effective.
  23. Taking these quarterbacks in the first round is still such an inexact science. I think it's easy to look past that fact when factoring in the quick success of Vince Young, Jay Cutler, and Matt Leinart ... throw in the Roethlisergers , Mannings, and Rivers and all of a sudden a trend seems to develop. But for all the success these youngs guns are having there are still the Rick Mirers, Ryan Leafs, Cade McNowns, Tim Couches ... Alex Smith is nothing special ... and Green Bay can't seem to move Aron Rodgers ahead of an ageing Brett Favre. I watched Aaron Rodgers play in Lambeau Field ... he folded like paper bag.
