  1. My sense is that the Democrats who are inclined to vote for Trump are those that share the same sense of nationalism that some Republicans do, and aren't necessarily attracted to any perceived Democrat values that Trump may have.
  2. The issues he mentioned are all instigated by the left. Just because he opposes them philosophically doesn't make him some kind of equal-yet-opposite extremist.
  3. The national debt is due to people taking legal tax exemptions and not because of overspending at the federal level?
  4. The problem is that $15 per hour is just an arbitrary number that advocates have latched onto to provide a "more dignified, livable wage" for those already in low-paying jobs. What McDonalds' voluntary wage increase did was offer incentive for greater productivity and to attract a higher caliber worker.
  5. In related news, it's being reported that Eric Holder may be a possible running mate, creating the Johnson-Holder ticket.
  6. This 100%. I've made five major moves and have lived in five different cities, each move in order to take a better job.
  7. I wasn't going to ask you this, but I've changed my mind: What do you think will happen to people who aren't straight, white males if Trump is elected?
  8. You left out gaining an increase in wage based on job performance. Until I took a union job, every raise I ever got was an incentive-based one. Reliability and job performance are everything in many jobs.
  9. I'll never understand how we, as a society, will ever get beyond race issues if we continually make race a factor in anything.
  10. Based on that, then I'm a racist.
  11. Here's a novel idea: why not fix the applications so that race isn't a factor, and instead focus on merit?
  12. I've never heard of him either, but he appears to share much of my attitude towards government.
  13. I guess I qualify as a Trump supporter - at least by default. I believe I've stated several times over the years that I've never actually ever cast a vote for a presidential candidate, but instead cast my vote against the candidate that I believe will do the most damage. If that qualifies me as a Trump supporter, then so be it. My initial favorite was Walker, then Christie, then Cruz. I'm not a Republican, but I frequently vote with them ever since the Democrat party became socialists, but by habit, I nearly always vote Libertarian, especially when selecting judges.
  14. If it's not him, the dude's got a double. And they're both gay. What are the odds?
  15. Holy crap - I know one of those guys.
  16. Bias response team? That must be group of people who determine the appropriate layout of transistor functions. They couldn't possibly be referring to a group of enablers for put-upon snowflakes.
  17. Well, what else could it possibly be?
  18. If she was to do that, then who'd protect her from all that sniper fire?
  19. That will make it exponentially more frustrating to her when she loses.
  20. Pretty much sums it up perfectly. I couldn't have said it better myself.
  21. You'll be amazed at how intelligent this place becomes once that boob is set to ignore. The only time I see any of his rubbish is when others quote him.
  22. This completely. The only thing I'd add is that some people have a harder time and experience more setbacks. That may not be fair, but there is no amount of legislation or compassion that will ever change that, so it means those unlucky people need to keep trying, no matter how many times it takes. I've never met anyone who was successful right from the start. Perseverance is everything. If you allow yourself to become discouraged, you will never amount to anything.
