  1. Yes, instead of quoting that whole post myself, I'll just agree with you. Well said, TYTT.
  2. What, did you lose your facebook account?
  3. Quit spamming the board with Trump threads - we've already got a couple, just add to those.
  4. Wasn't he on Happy Days?
  5. I doubt Palmer will ever be capable of killing Eichhorst, new security team notwithstanding. I doubt Setrakian would kill Palmer when he can just let him suffer - no amount of pleading will change Setrakian's view (correctly so) that Palmer is the cause of the whole mess they're in. No need to kill Quinlan - he's sworn to kill the Master, and will die himself upon succeeding. The other ancients, as are the three we've already seen, are probably well isolated and beyond the reach of any but the most virulent disease Eph could possibly concoct, but that's pure speculation on my part.
  6. That's pretty much replicates the Roddenberry theorem for creating a warp field. If you stand where both can be heard simultaneously, you stand the possibility of being able to change your clothes really, really fast.
  7. I think Wallace will be pretty even-handed in his treatment of them both. Now, if Sean Hannity was moderating the debate.....
  8. She will get the same benefit of celebration in the major news outlets that Obama has. That's why the president is enjoying the approval numbers that he has - he's outspent Bush by nearly a factor of two, we're still in both Iraq and Afghanistan, we now have ISIS, the economy is even worse, and race relations are at the lowest point since I was a young child, yet the public perception is being driven by the major news outlets, so things are way better than during Bush 43's term as far as they're concerned. I see no reason at all why Hillary will be treated any differently.
  9. If so, she'll be insulated from a lot of the criticism by being the first female president, just like the current president is for being the first African-American to hold the office.
  10. Not to mention that he's a freakin' socialist.
  11. I have a feeling that Palmer will die horribly pretty soon. As soon as Eichhorst sees him in a revitalized condition, he's going to know Palmer's been up to something and will likely figure out that he's trying to strike a deal with Setrakian. The plan was probably for Palmer to just waste away, since Eichhorst is now forging Palmer's signature and effectively running the company - a healthy Palmer simply will not do.
  12. At least he's consistent.
  13. Which religion is this "their religion" of which you speak?
  14. This just shows that you know nothing of how the supreme court works. They don't act to proactively benefit society, but instead to defend liberties. There's a difference.
  15. I bailed after the first 10 minutes. Maybe it turned into a debate, but it started as an ambush. Despite my lack of enthusiasm for either candidate, I won't watch that kind of crap. I already know how I'm going to vote - anybody, anybody but Hillary. I'll vote for a giant douche over a turd sandwich any day of the week.
  16. Personally, I think you have it backwards. Faith and religion are present in the Republican party because it's a big part of many of their constituents' lives, not so much as a matter of party doctrine. If Christian conservatives were to gravitate to another party, then the Republicans' platform would reflect that.
  17. Abuse of power usually refers to power bestowed through public trust, not monetary power earned by private citizens. If it were as you describe, then George Soros should have been jailed long ago.
  18. I thought the exact same thing.
  19. "Ms. Shriver donned a sombrero for much of her speech — an allusion to a case in the United States in which articles of impeachment were drawn up (and later rescinded) against non-Mexican student government members for doing the same during a fiesta-themed tequila party at Bowdoin College." Good for Shriver. I'm all for meeting this ridiculous PC crap head on.
  20. Could you be more specific regarding these "external things"?
  21. And should the need arise, you can always stop by here to vent a little.
  22. Unfortunately you don't have to look very far to find folks like that. It's too difficult for a lot of people to remove emotion from issues and try to look at the situation logically.

  24. There are still plenty of us who were around during the civil rights movement who understand that despite all the progress our society has made, it takes generations to make such sweeping changes, no matter how critical those changes may be. Racism isn't becoming more prevalent, it's being politicized, and people in power are baiting the citizenry, pitting people against each other. The people we risk losing our freedoms to are not external, they're the ones we voted into office.
