The biggest Bledsoe Brain Fart I ever witnessed was when he threw the ball out of bounds on a fourth down play during the Bills last possession in a potential comeback drive against Philadelphia last season. Drew Bledsoe is certainly no genius; few quarterbacks are or need to be. The problem is that he thinks he is a genius! Maybe this overestimation of his own abilities is the result of being reared in the Parenting with Dignity™ method. [Moose's conscience is saying that this is a low blow. (Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the Patsies pay Vinatieri to sign with another AFC East team to miss critical field goals late in the season! ) There are no treasures in the Patriots' dumpster!

I still think you should do the "Just give it to them" game, with a special edit of the many incredulous screw jobs at the end. That is the game that sealed my deep hatred of the Patsies - and I want to have it as evidence to show people why. (Also, that game has historical, not to mention hysterical, value... it is the game that convinced Ralph Wilson to vote in favor of bringing back instant replay, which was in effect the following season and is here to stay.)

I have a 2002 TrailBlazer, a "cousin" to the Envoy, and I love it! There's lots of room for me, my big ol' dog and many cases of Labatt Blue that I bring back from Elmira! My brother and his family bought an Envoy last year and they really, really like it, too! Gas mileage isn't great by any stretch... but I don't do a lot of driving. I hope that GM comes out with some decent hybrids by the time I'm in the market for a new vehicle.

There are very few people in the world that look good in orange and/or brown. I am not one of them, trust me! (Remember the "seasons" coloring thing, cåblelady? Well, I'm a true "winter".)

I'm an Indians fan. Most Indians fans are also Browns fans. I like the Browns, but I'd never be a real Browns fan because I truly look awful in orange and brown.

Hmmm, I guess we need a lawyer to explain how we can play music. That is the equivalent of saying that I can play a CD in my home stereo, but not in the CD player in my car of office. It just doesn't make sense.

All you have to do is burn any downloaded iTunes songs to an Audio CD, and then just rip the songs to mp3 format just like you would any other Audio CD. Piece of cake! The French cannot figure this out and are suing Apple because iTunes downloads "only work with iPods." [Dumbass French ]

I do agree. With Bledsoe as our QB, NE fans gloated about their "guaranteed" two wins a year against Buffalo. Losman is an unknown entity to them (and to us) and *may* benefit from the same kind of advantage that a pitcher in baseball has when he faces an opponent for the first time. Also, the only QB since Kelly with a winning record also wore #7. Time will tell if he's the real deal or another Buffalo Bills QB with a 10¢ head.

Or put "Buffalo" where the name is - and get number 66. That should stand the test of time. Number 11, like number 32, should never be issued again.

Yeah, well MY dog won last year! (Actually my dog is a Newfie and Chow mix. There's no real chance of a Chow ever winning because they keep picking the foofy dogs and Poodles with dumb haircuts from the non-sporting category. ) Anyway, I'm glad a REAL breed of dog won again this year! There are a couple of German Shorthairs at the dog park here... and they seem like great dogs!

Marvelous post, John. While I never shared your initial excitement about Drew coming to Buffalo, after all was said and done, I wanted him to succeed here. It's sad for everyone involved that it didn't work out that way. Thank you, Drew Bledsoe, for trying. I hope life treats you well and you land somewhere where things work out for you.

You have missed or ignored the voices of reason and balance on this board, of which there are many. In your observations, you keep using the term "everybody", which is all-inclusive. Several people here did NOT want Bledsoe, so that negates "everybody". Also, your "observations" do not include any objective evaluation of the long list of QBs who have followed, badly, in Kelly's footsteps. The only one with a winning record as starter was Flutie... So what exactly is your point? Should we just love and support our litany of losing QBs and keep our collective, all-inclusive mouths shut? Or has our discontent been justified?

I remember a statement by Jim Kelly that said once upon a time the most important thing in life to him was winning a Super Bowl, but after Hunter was born it changed to just having his son be healthy. That about says it all. God Bless...
