Road-Kill... What have you Contributed to the Road
Fezmid replied to brihs2005's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've never hit anything... My wife hit a duck -- it flew up from the side of the road, right into the path of the car, and smashed into the windshield. She said she saw it flop up over the car and hit the car behind her as well. Her windshield was cracked with the outline of the duck which was pretty amusing (should've taken a picture). CW -
All 4 Super Bowls on ESPN Classic
Fezmid replied to The Avenger's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Full game, or just teh 30 minute clip thing? If it's the full game, I might have to record it... For some twisted perverted reason... EDIT: It's just the 30 minute specials, they're not even that good. CW -
Those actually aren't the extras I'm talking about -- I'm talking about HTML files, JPG images, PDF files, and stuff of that type that you can view on your PC. BTW - the "Sounds of the Game" has an easter egg hidden on one of the mensu where you can see an awesome fan-created video that's been circulating the net in the past. If you have that disk, search for it. CW

The only CFL aspect that's better than the NFL
Fezmid replied to McGill Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The other aspect that's better in the CFL is that it starts earlier CW -
He grabbed girl's arm -- now he's a sex offender
Fezmid replied to Tux of Borg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You're not a parent, so you can't comment on that. Havn't you been reading the various parenting threads around here? CW -
He grabbed girl's arm -- now he's a sex offender

Guilty until proven innocent, just like our forefathers wanted. CW -

You're right. He should've just hit her with his car, instead of swerving to avoid her when she walked out in front of his car. He would've gotten some community service, his insurance company would've paid the bills, and life goes on. CW -
I don't have a quick procedure down for transferring VHS to DVD yet (I will someday, but I'm too busy right now). So if Rubes (or anyone else for that matter) wants to do the transfers from VHS to DVD, I could still distribute them with the rest of my games (like I do with the AFC CHampionship game). That's probably the best of both worlds. I gotta figure out which game I'm going to do next. Next year, I'm hoping to have games done the same week they're played. We'll see if that's just wishful thinking or not... I'm also planning on trying to record Bills/Packers scrimmage. Also, based on the poll results, I'm going to make mention of the 'extras' in the Traiding Post forum. CW

From that same episode: Meatwad: I'm Mr. Mister. *squirt squirt* When I get pissed, crime gets mist! CW

I agree. Ick....

Easy - they'll remake the remakes of the originals. CW

Not sure which one I'm doing next, although it's probably going to be the Bills/Rams game. I have most (if not all) of our 9 victories from last year ready to be converted. Just need to find the time CW

All, The Bills/Browns game is now complete. My new PC *screams* and I actually got all of the work done in one night (!!), and I think with better quality video than any of my previous games (maybe it's just because I'm tired... But it DOES look good!) The disk has the game, as well as the stats and a recap (non-video). There are some extra PC-only features on the disk, but mainly just some pcitures, play-by-play, and a nice pre-game document (PDF). Nothing too special though. Check out the thread in the Trading Post if interested, and send me a PM or email. http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=9546 The poll is because I'm trying to figure out how many people actually use/know about the "Extras" directory I put on the disk. Just curious if I should be spending my time on it or not. CW

If WM wants to sit out this year, let him. He doesn't deserve a ton of cash this year after playing less than a full season last year and not a single snap the year before. If he performs well this year, then work out a long term deal. Not before, not for 3/4 of a season. CW

Regarding cost (because everyone here knows I'm cheap... ), if your employer lets you have a Flex Spending account, and you don't have one now, it might be a good idea to wait and have it done early next year. You can generally only open them at the beginning of the year, but they allow you to take money out of your check (up to $3,000) to put into a medical fund, all tax free. I knew I had some dental work that needed to be done this year, so had $3,000 taken out which amkes it only ~$2,000 out of pokcet. Since you'll probably be spending $2,000 on the eyes, it's probably worth it. CW

Video game to help determine baseball outcome
Fezmid replied to Fezmid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apparanlty the commishioner of the league didn't approve of the video game innings http://www.joystiq.com/entry/1234000417048795/ CW -
Do your own research and LOTS OF IT!!!! Talk to people you know who have had the procedure done. If you lived in the Twin Cities, I'd give a recommendation (the wife of one of my coworkers had it done). You don't want to make the wrong choice of doctors in this case... CW

Do you require a tip for this service, since you're making below minimum wage?

Any idea when the new season starts? I've been waiting for awhile! Shake: THIS... is my E-Helmet! It will change the way you work and live, forever! Frylock: And what's that? Shake: THIS... is the power source for the E-helmet... It will change the way you work and live, forever! Frylock: So it's a battery? Shake: A battery? Yeah, try twelve! And it's heavy as well, but cool as crap! CW

Meatwad: Hey now guys, look. I do not want to do anything illegal here. But I would kill somebody, in front of their own mama, to get a 10-speed, and if anybody testifies against me, I'll gouge their eyes out! Err: Let's go get drunk and rip-off a 10-speed! Meatwad: Yeah, and we'll get a basket, and a horn on the handle! CW

Actually, nobody had any clue who he was talking about until Luvbills elaborated on the television report. Before that, there was guesses by CL, but nobody knew. At the very least, the original poster should've said "Rubin Bron;" might've had a better chance of figuring it out CW

Ok, I'll bring up a tipping topic. If a place charges a delivery fee, should that be reflected in the amoount of tip you give? For example, if I order two pizzas for delivery ($20), and the place charges a $1 delivery fee, how much extra should I tip? I usually tip $1-$2/pizza, but I do usually subtract the delivery fee from my tip. Am I being stingy? What do others do? CW

If you're looking for a place to stay, my wife and I HIGHLY recommend Scala House: http://www.scala-house.co.uk/ We stayed there for our honeymoon and it was great. You get a full kitchen, living roomm, two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, it's right around the corner from Goodge St (a tube station), kitty-corner from an AWESOME fish and chips place. Very nice. You can take the tube to Paddington station if you want. And the maids there apparantly don't expect to be tipped, because we left money out for them and they never took it... You can even schedule to have a cab driver pick you up at the airport and they have a sign with your name on it (like you're a VIP or something). He did take a tip, and was even happy that it was US currency (we obviously had no UK money at the time) since he was going to visit California for a month the following week. CW

From our two weeks in London (and surrounding cities), our service was 10X that of most American restaurants... Maybe that was because it was a month after 9/11. CW
