  1. Dream Theater - Images and Words
  2. I thought about that response before I posted it - but went for it anyway
  3. That hasn't been a problem in recent years...
  4. I looked at the site, and there's none in Wisconsin or Minnesota... In fact, most of the US is empty, except for Tennessee which has 353 for some reason! The next highest is Texas with 19... Why the disaparity?
  5. There was a little roll of stickers in there, but since I didn't bring anything to replace it with, I just left it there. In hindsight, I probably should've taken it as a keepsake for my first find -- but oh well.
  6. My wife started watching it and I wasn't interested. Then I watched an episode and it was actually very well written. Lots of pop culture references, witty banter, and oh yeah, nice eye candy too
  7. Awww, look, you found one other crazy person to agree with your twisted point of view. (or you have two accounts )
  8. You said: "let me quess liberal public schools," I'm also trying to figure out how the WTO and NAFTA have anything to do with deviant activity. You claim you have a degree, but I guess it was in a school that doesn't teach spelling, grammar, or even how to write a compelling argument.
  9. Well, I found my first cache today! Woohoo! It was a pretty simple one, and I had a good idea where it was before I even got to the area. But I wanted to make sure I tried something simple to start with, just to get the hang of it. Pretty cool though - and it's pretty cool to find a "hidden treasure" like that. It's also pretty cool thinking about all the other people who have done the same thing you're doing when you look for it and sign the logbook. Overall, big thumbs up and highly recommended to everyone!
  10. But only in the missionary position. Anything else would be dirty and would lead to murdering small children.
  11. He WAS doing it on his own property. Thanks for playing!
  12. Let me know where in that chapter it says that masterbation using inanimate objects escalates into rape and murder and we'll talk, m'kay? And it's funny that you're bitching to tgregg about a liberal arts degree, and yet you're taking psych.
  13. Picking your nose is deviant activity too... Maybe we should nip that in the bud and arrest anyone who does that too? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deviant_behavior Should we lock people up who do Pony Play as well? That's deviant. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_animal_roleplay Some people like having sex dressed as stuffed animals. We should arrest them too. Good dialog from an episode of CSI (I never thought I'd quote that show... ) Catherine: Okay... Well, I have heard of some guys getting off in some weird ways... but humping an animal suit? Whatever happened to normal sex? Grissom: What is normal sex? Catherine: Uh... you think it's normal for a grown human to only be intimate with a talking animal? Grissom: Well, Freud said that the only unusual sexual behavior was not to have any at all. After that, it was only a matter of opportunity and preference. Some people obviously prefer the feel of fur to the texture of human skin. Catherine: Well, I like a hairy chest, but that doesn't mean I'm going to go bop a six-foot weasel. And hey, since you seem to think people who sex with inanimate objects are evil would-be rapists, why not arrest everyone coming out of a sex toy store? That'll teach 'em! Have you ever had sex in anything other than the missionary position? That was considered deviant throughout most of history as well (and still illegal in many states!) But they're COMPLETELY different topics. One is violence. One is sexual gratification. Not like he was having sex with his pet cat, then killing it. He was getting off on a table ON HIS OWN PROPERTY. Big deal. Well that's good -- let's arrest people who MIGHT be dangerous. That'll teach 'em! Where in the article does it say he did anything with the table inside his house, then moved it outside? It doesn't. Also, it wasn't in view of his neighbors -- only this ONE neighbor. The guy was on his deck, and as I said before, a previous article made it pretty clear that it wasn't in view of anyone but this one nosy neighbor who was spying on his with a video camera. As for "close to an elementary school," give me a break. Most residential areas are close to an elementary school, especially since "close" is usually defined as "within a few miles." But the media loves the, "Think of the children!!!!" line. CW
  14. Umm, it DID happen in his own home: "Price is seen naked and masturbating in the rear room near the open doorway; he then comes out to the deck. " What's this neighbor doing recording things that are happening inside of his neighbor's house? Previous articles make it sound like only the neighbor would have a view to see this guy. And you still haven't shown me any causation, let alone correlation, between "deviant acts" and escalated crimes.
  15. Would you care to show some scientific proof about that please? It's true that deviant activities, such as killing animals, leads to sociopathic tendencies later in life. But I haven't read any research indicating masterbation via inanimate objects is considered deviant and leads to anything worse. There's a lot of REALLY weird sexual stuff out there that, to me, seems far more deviant, but I'd never think it's going to escalate to anything.
  16. I didn't understand why people made such a big deal about this before, and I don't understand why people are making a big deal about it now. So much for the privacy of your own home.
  17. I would HIGHLY agree. It's cheap ($50/year I believe) and you'll never have to ask around for a contractor again - you'll always be able to find a good one. In addition, if you do hire someone and they don't perfrom as expected, Angies List will deal with trying to get the issue resolved. They promise nothing, but basically if the company doesn't comply, they'll lose their listing. I've purchased guest subscriptions for friends for the holidays - it's wonderful.
  18. Maybe... I wonder how many familes would really do that though?
  19. How is removing a feature streamlining their product? They really push the "friends" and "ratings" systems that they have. "Since you liked movie X, and your friends like movie X, you'll probably like Y as well!" Without multiple queues, that's not going to work so well. My wife doesn't like the same movies as I do, but if I lump all of the chick flicks together with all of the action/sci-fi/etc movies, it's no longer going to be very accurate. I don't see how removing this feature can be considered a good thing - and I can't figure out why they would do it. The only advantage I can think of is that they can reduce the size of their database and thus won't need as many servers in their farm. Cutting costs like that means they're not doing as well as you might have hoped. I'm not saying they're going under tomorrow, but a lot of the changes they've made this year seem a bit desperate to me.
  20. Maybe their programmers didn't know how to have two separate queues?
  21. I'm talking about the fact that they wouldn't let new members sign up for HD DVD when they still have inventory, not complaining about dropping new titles etc. I still can't understand how dropping profiles helps anyone...
  22. I'm starting to wonder if Netflix is having major problems or not. First the HD DVD thing, then they say they'll charge more for Blu-Ray in the near future, now they're ditching user profiles: http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/06/20/netfl...-with-profiles/ For those who don't know, profiles are a way for multiple people in your family to manage their own movies. For example, if you have the "3 at a time" plan, you can make a queue for yourself, one for your wife, and one for you child so that they can each have a movie that they like. They're removing that feature "to help improve the Netflix website for all customers." Ummmm, ok... All of these negative changes are leading me to wonder if they're having problems. With the downturn in the economy, I wouldn't be surprised if families looking to save money are cutting "frivilous" things like DVD rentals.
  23. Yeah, but she loses points for working for the cable company....
  24. I fixed your post for you. We're all praying that you make a speedy recovery!
  25. The coordinates get you to the general location - but not to the exact place of the cache. It's like you putting the address into your cars' GPS, driving to the location, but it's a block or two off from where the GPS says the address is so you have to hunt for it from there -- only there's no street addresses telling you where to go
