  1. Aw and i was all "prepared" for a jets-packers superbowl! We could all make a lot of money betting against your stupid predictions. You had a chance to own up and eat your crow, instead you copped out with this. Excellent work.
  2. That makes absolutely no sense. No one in this thread said anything remotely racist. I think your hypersensitive mind is playing tricks on you.
  3. Great work on looking up all those stats but there's really no comparing the two yet, since Newton has yet to play an NFL down. Even their college stats are skewed since Newton's career was shortened given his transfer and Roethlisberger played in a much less competitive conference. The only thing they currently have comparable is size - Newton has wheels for his size and Ben can make plays with his feet when needed. But the thing that separates Big Ben from a lot of QBs is his awareness in sensing the rush -- none of us know if Newton can exhibit that same awareness since, as i said, he hasn't played a down yet in the NFL.
  4. Gross. Anyways if anything Pitt in the SB again only strengthens the importance of having good ownership when it comes to winning. Buffalo doesn't have that.
  5. Can the mods please close this exercise in BS?
  6. Dingding. We have a winna. Thx BLZFAN i didnt feel like spelling it
  7. Isnt kellen moore going back to college?
  8. Ah there's a German word that perfectly describes my feeling for the jets right now...help me out ; )
  9. Great job choosing your proxy; i was just hoping the pats or jets didn't win it all and i got my wish.
  10. /record skips //mayhem ensues
  11. You're right in a sense. Pitt probably would still be awesome no matter the scheme. But the scheme still matters, especially if you want to run a hybrid 34-43 that the bills i believe are working towards. I don't believe the bills would re-sign kelsay if they exclusively wanted to run a 34 going forward. I also dont think they would've re-signed merriman if they are thinking about running a 43 exclusively in the future. Hopefully (it's a big hope) the D coaches are looking at running a multiple base set D a la New England and need to get players that can play in both. Quinn would be a fit in both. Dareus would also flourish as a hybrid DE/OLB. I hope that's the way they go, but who knows. Great thread OP because i think your question will have a lot of influence on the draft come april.
  12. Post of the week Capt. hindsight. Excellent.
  13. No doubt Newton can sling it. He has a great arm and was very accurate given the offensive system he was in. But poeple aren't calling him a running quarterback just because he's black. He had 20 rushing TDs to go along with his 30 passing. He attempted 280 passes...and 264 rushes. Pretty even split. That's why some highlight his running ability as a QB. Not because of his race.
  14. Give langston walker another whirl as well : ) Thanks for listing all of those Derek. Makes it easy for us lazy folk. Landing Scaife or Spaeth would be great work by the FO, i'm not holding my breath though.
  15. Wait til Cam gets his money. He could end up making VY seem stable in comparison. The red flags are there.
  16. If VY gets his head screwed on straight he'll be a fine QB. I know that's a big IF, but at least young is a known quantity, unlike Newton.
  17. Yeah. Considering Tebow's biggest supporter was drummed out of Denver, there's no guarantee timmy will even be on the bronco roster next year, let alone starting. He's had 1 great game so far, out of two. Not a bad start, for sure. But it doesn't make him a nfl "superstar", as you say. Newton's never played an NFL game, so no data yet on how exciting he will be in the pros. With the Bills current OL, he could very likely spend most of the time getting pounded into the turf. Not so exciting. Welcome aboard. Want more EXCITEMENT??!!??!!!!! Use more !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. I completely agree with stealth - i don't hate mallett, but there are red flags and he simply seems like the complete opposite of what Gailey would want in a QB. Fortunately this upcoming draft has many options for upgrading the Bills' horrific defense. Unfortunately that may unfold with Buffalo taking a cornerback with their first pick /heads expode
  19. Meh, chances are slim he pisses more people off than donte.
  20. Fun fact - Reilly is more pompous and self absorbed than 99% of the pro athletes he covers. Cutler wants to just play his position and keep his charitable work quiet? Heavens no!
  21. Sux for her, but can't blame favre for her clearly awesome life choices. Meth's a hell of a drug
  22. The cb jones would probably want is peterson. Either way, if he were willing to deal, why not? Buff has a lot of holes and more picks can't hurt.
  23. Yeah AJ green should have a lot of problems. He's the same height and weight as randy moss. Green is the best WR to come out of college since calvin johnson. Do some research.
