The Game Plan Moving Forward
reddogblitz replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Do Goff and Woods and Kupp and and Cooks and Gurley Man come with him? I always thought the way to counter a big pass rush is with screens and draws and roll outs. -
The only thing I heard was yesterday he said "we're always looking".
-
Colin Kaepernick for sure. The circus would not be near as huge as it would have been in PS. Otherwise, what about Tyler "Hope and" Bray?
-
I don't know if he developed any. He has 1 SB ring and 2 conference championships. He picked QBs others said weren't good enough. tells me he knows a good QB when he sees one. do you think this is not true? that he knows a good QB when he sees one when others say he's not good enough? How many QBs did George Allen develop? Joe Gibbs? Brian Billick? Red Miller?
-
No you haven't. We'll see about that ...
-
Funny I think kindof the opposite of Coach Gruden. He won 2 conference championships and one SB with QBs most people said weren't good enough. Rich Gannon and Brad Johnson. We have not seen the last of AJ.

McBeane's way of rebuilding makes no sense

i don't expect them to plug every hole or climb every mountain. but I do expect them to be at least competitive EVERY YEAR. Especially the after we are in the playoffs. May still turn out that way, but early returns are bad. -
He doesn't throw more picks than TDs in 67% of his starts either and hasn't been pulled for inept play in a very long way time

This is fine and well and good and all, but you win in the NFL with studs. You gotta have some even if they're not nice. When the Cowboys were doing bad Jimmy would would put the hammer down and cut a 4th string RB asleep in a film session. they asked him what he would do if Troy fell asleep in a film session and he said he would get him a glass of water and wake him up and sit by him to keep him awake. Dennis Green said similar things. I mean I understand the process and culture and all that, but there's a balance to everything. You can't cut off your nose just to make a point IMHO. -

At least a decent part of this is their own fault. We are spending cap space on guys that aren't even on the team anymore like Hotrod and Dareus yet the positions they play are huge holes. Would seem to make more sense to pay them and get their services as opposed to paying them and not. -
Nobody should be doubting Beane or McDermott

If they do waste this season to get even better draft capital next year, then they better either make the playoffs in 2019 or get VERY close or their seats will be getting very hot if they still have seats that is. -

I'm gonna disagree wtih this a little bit. Sure, they weren't planning on losing Wood and Incognito. But Wood retired on JANUARY 26th. This was WELL before draft and FA. they could have done something better on the Wood replacement but chose not to. It's on them for bad decision making and player evaluation. Especially when they have their new shiny franchise QB to protect. I'll give you Richie who retired in August. -

Williams had a plan Mularkey had a plan Buddy Nix had a plan Dick Jaruron had a plan Chan Gailey had a plan Tom Donahoe had a plan Doug Marrone had a plan Doug Whaley had a plan Rex had a plan And now these guys have a plan. I started out with these guys off the band wagon until I saw reason to get on. I did last year. Another start by Nasty Nate and I'm back off til I see reason to get back on. I thought we had found guys that didn't need to gut the team in order to get all new guys in order to get close to .500 when they get fired in 2 to 3 years. It's a results business. Show me some results this year. -
Who Starts At QB For Week 2? (Poll)
reddogblitz replied to Paulus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought he was going to get in when Carr came up hobbling with that ankle. If Carr doesn't clean up his act pretty quick, Chuckie will go with AJ. He's a Chuckie kind of guy. -

I'm sorry man. I can't for the life of me adopt a loser mentality like that. We were good last year, there was no need to fly it into the ground like it appears so far anyway they have done. Coach McDermott made his team over perform and and BILLIEVE for once and make the team greater than the sum of it's parts. I expect him to do the same this year. -
So? that was on JANUARY 26th well before FA and the draft. They had plenty of time to do something but chose to do what they did.
-
True. he made some good Plays. He made some bad plays. I think it's fair to say that if the ENTIRE Clowns team and coaching played better, they would have won.
-
If you win, you make more money.

Is it too much to ask your kicker to make a chip shot? football is a team game. EVERYONE has to do their part, even the little guy that's not even a real football player.
