6th Annual "Dinner's On Me, Smartass" Competition
CFLstyle replied to IDBillzFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No in for us Bills fans up in Canada? -
I'm pretty sure Nate Clements would go under that category...he was an elite football player when we left him go, one of the best of his position.
-
I was all for Sherman at the time. He really liked JP and probably would have made a big difference in the guy's development, he was more of an offensive coach, I believe. Having worked with Brett Favre, Sherman would help Losman a lot, considering they're the same in a lot of ways. Losman is basically a poor man's Brett Favre, put him in the right system and develop him properly and he's on his way to stardom.

If Jauron is gone end of this season..

No Marty Schottenheimer? -
OK, let's get one thing straight, most NFL teams have more than 5 wide receivers on the roster. There's no magic line that says the Bills have to cut someone. Hardy might not even be ready to go at the beginning of the season, so what's the plan, go in with 4 receivers and an injured Hardy?
-
So, what are you all so uptight about, there's a pretty good chance that the offensive line is going to start out slow, it might take the better of half a season for it to gel. Plus we have a pretty tough schedule...I'm as opimistic as anyone and but there's no doubt that the Oline is a concern, especially for the start of this season with the young guys we have going up against a Patriots defense. It's baptism by fire.
-
Hey, come on, I agree with everything in the original post. PTR, you failed to mention that the Bengals didn't exactly cut Jones because he wasn't any good, either. He's been injury prone, and he had an enormous contract, so he's a cap casualty. At the right contract, he could be a valuable asset to this offensive line, which is in need of a good veteran to lead the way with all of the youngsters in there. You can't seriously tell me that every player who gets cut is garbage and isn't worth looking at. As for Winborn, not sure about him, but it's an interesting idea, I'm not sold at all on Ellison as a starter on this defense. I truly would have liked Keiaho or June, would have been thrilled with Hill, and wouldn't mind bringing in LaBoy to give him a shot (he's a pass rushing linebacker?) Totally agree on Wendell Bryant...nothing to lose and everything to gain with this man. Hope he makes the team. Go Bills!

I like this line, it's solid, could lead to some continuity with the youngsters in there, and Chambers and Bell will get some time in on the rotation.
-
Come on Bill, take a look at some of the previous drafts and see how many defensive backs taken in rounds 1 and 2 have become busts. We've done a pretty good job of drafting defensive backs and if our biggest miss over the last few years is Ko Simpson, who was taken in the 4th, we're doing fine.
-
What? In my eyes, Johnson was our second best defensive tackle.
-
Sweet, Takeo is an awesome name, would be perfect for, say, a bulldog, or a boxer.

If another draft was held today...

1. DT 2. OLB 3. DE (yes, still a need, can never have too many) -

Thank you for that wonderful contribution. -
I find it pretty hard to believe that any other coach in the NFL could win 12 games with this team, especially with the schedule we have. 12-4 is really pushing it.

I have gone the DH Gate way. If you look, you can find jerseys for under 30$ (find ones with free shipping). They look authentic, and are good quality; they're 100 X better than the $80 jerseys on bb.com. I've gone this route and it works well. T-shirts are nice, but who wouldn't go for an authentic looking jersey for $30-40 rather than a t-shirt for $30-40? If they're cheaper than that, then that's a good idea, but the kind you get on bb.com are very expensive. I know you can make your own and customize them for cheaper, but I'm not sure the quality is so great when you do that? EDIT: here's a good T.O. jersey with free shipping, for example: Terrell Owens Throwback

Leroy Hill to re-sign with Seattle

What about LaBoy? He's decent. -
Leroy Hill or Travis LeBoy: the Bills will sign one of these two linebackers, out of nowhere, to add the final piece to our defense.
-
Wouldn't mind Travis LaBoy if the price is right.

I tried to order my Aaron Maybin jersey

Well I know that 48 is M, 50 is L, 52 is XL, and 54 is XXL. -
This guy looks like our starting free safety.

The Long Awaited, Highly Respected Mock Draft
CFLstyle replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, the Broncos get Raji AND Orakpo? Wow, it's hard to see either of these guys falling to 11, let alone both. Interesting, but I think Sanchez goes really high, and if Rajo or Orakpo fall to the Bills, one of those guys will be ours. -
Not football related -- but the Jerseys from China?
CFLstyle replied to High Mark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey, I got a Terrell Owens throwback jersey off the site. Some of the jerseys have free shipping, so the best way to find a bargain is to get one that ships for free. The cheapest way to do it is to buy in bulk, me and a few friends wanted the jerseys so we went in on them together and got them in bulk, we got 5 at a time...shipping was free and because it was in bulk they were cheaper. In the end, didn't cost me anymore than C$30, or about 24 USD. The jersey looks really good. I've only worn it once and haven't washed it yet, so I'm not sure how well it will hold up, but it looks authentic. My friend has the authentic throwback Whitner jersey that he got from the actual Bills store, and he compared them, the only difference is they are very slightly different in colour, but only enough that you can barely notice it when they're right next to each other. It came with the NFL authentic tags and everything, it's all stitched, it just looks really nice, so for $30 or $40, or even $50, why the heck not? Either way it's a great deal, you can find t-shirts that are more expensive in the Bills store, it's a lot nicer to go with the jersey, even if it's not 100% authentic. I'd say go for it. -

Yes, I was watching the right league. Apparantly so were the Eagles. The Bills...not so much. -
