  1. For non-football reasons.
  2. This happens A LOT.
  3. The training camp buzz certainly would have indicated so. But I think we have to take that FWIW. It's a glimmer of hope, though, knowing that help may already be on the roster.
  4. I think that much is clear at this point.
  5. Oh, I've made it abundantly clear how badly I believe we're hurting in AW's absence. I haven't heard anything about Searcy in Tennessee(?) though. And since I had no problem letting him walk for the money he eventually got, it would seem hypocritical for me to point out how badly we're missing him. But, I imagine we are. Particularly in run support.
  6. It'll be a defender. Biggest need is safety. Linebacker aint far behind.
  7. I keep reading how Rex is doing less with the exact same defensive personnel. Well, that's not entirely true. Are we missing Spikes more than we care to, or even thought to acknowledge?
  8. Well, again, the linebackers are subpar (or at least playing as such) and our safeties (as I've been clamoring about for weeks) are completely over the heads with Aaron Williams out. So, there's at least four guys who should be making the pursuits you're asking about.
  9. Right. Rex has no clue how to use Dareus. You people are insane. EXECUTE Bull ****. PLAYERS have to execute. It's a scheme that has worked CONSISTENTLY since before many of our defensive players were even in high school. Players have to figure it out. Period.
  10. I would guess that on 40% of plays there are three or four players off the LOS who have NO CLUE what is going on.
  11. Yeah, I can't believe Rex is calling all these plays that set the linebackers up to wiff on tackles. Face it, Bradham and Brown have been...well, bad. Rex was right. It's an execution issue. And don't give me this bull crap about calling plays to help them succeed. When it's 2 and 16 and you've got the half back dead to rights in the backfield, that's on you, the player.
  12. Nine holes of golf. Trip to the gym. Laundry, chores. Going to grab some groceries and prepare some jambalaya to cook tomorrow after the Bills game. Then it's out on a date with the wife.
  13. Gee. Thanks. Somebody get this guy into Russ Brandon's office IMMEDIATELY.
  14. I'd rather he stay the !@#$ away from our football team.
  15. Jenny was damaged. She was incapable of neither love nor rational relationship decisions.
  16. I'm bothered by the people blaming the protesters for this. All the blame lies with the stadium "security." See: the OTW pit bull thread for a tangential, analogous argument made by yours truly. (lights dynamite, walks away)
  17. Some make the news. Most don't. Who cares? The bigger issue is the blatant security breach.
  18. Some times when you're voluntarily share a public space with 60,000+ other people, not everything goes your way.
  19. Why are they jackasses?
  20. Dude. You know what I meant. He wrote that "Blake Bortles beat us." No. He didn't. We LOST to the Jaguars. But because "Blake Bortles beat us." He netted 13 points. Two td's, two FG's, one pick six. Blake Bortles wasn't the difference.
  21. No we didn't. His defense gave him 14 points in a contest decided by four. Seven of which our defense took back.
  22. You can chalk it up to it being one of the worst 0:07 in football history, but that doesn't mean it didn't all of a sudden happen. Taking four steps forward and five steps backward is still a step in the wrong direction. And it wasn't just those seven seconds.
  23. DUDE That fine is !@#$ing incredible.
  24. Also didn't rule him out of playing safety.
  25. Well, if you think Watkins is bad, then we'll have to agree to disagree. I'll agree that his behavior over the last few weeks has been inadvisable, but he's a grossly overpaid 22 year old acting as if. So I'll go ahead and put my pitch fork away.
