  1. I'm not sure what kind of answer you're looking for. Presumably you think it's going poorly. I'm curious why that is.
  2. ...a lot. And then, when the ball is thrown, they seem to not have any friggin clue how to stop the guy. Take the tip-tip-tip catch over the seam yesterday. Duke Williams literally ran PAST the guy while he was still bobbling it, turned around and ran back up field to tackle the guy after he finally secured it. The play you're talking about PERFECTLY illustrates how bad they've been.
  3. And he may be a perfectly serviceable safety. But he's not good enough to make up for the dead weight playing opposite him in Duke Williams.
  4. Tyrod, then Aaron. I'll post it in every damn thread on this board if I have to: Duke Williams and Corey Graham flat out SUCK. And we're running a scheme that relies heavily on safeties for pressure and coverage calls.
  5. You must not have watched yesterday's game. The games when we've blitzed, we've been in the QB's lap ALL DAY. Rex has admitted that the games he DIDN'T blitz (Cin/NE) that it was a mistake.
  6. Well, I didn't light these torches for nothing.
  7. Our safeties suck. Will you accept that answer? Or do you just want to blame the coach?
  8. Believe me, I know. After yesterday, after last year's Oakland game, last year's Texans games, the 2013 Browns game, the 2013 Falcons game, the 2013 Bucs game, the 2012 Titans game, the 2012 Colts, the 2012 Rams game and many, many many many many many other examples, I should have learned by now to stop counting the wins that should be on our schedule.
  9. If they lose to the Chiefs, Eagles AND Cowboys, I'll eat my shoe.
  10. Yeah, no chance in Houston, it looks like it's gone off the rails in SD and KC is missing its best (only) offensive weapon in Charles. Sure, there's a possibility SD and KC start on a little run, and since the Bills have to go to KC, it would be fitting, but if for once this century the football gods want to shine on our team, SD and KC will sink lower and lower into the cellar.
  11. I can't say that I disagree. But he manages to have these extreme peaks and valleys it seems: 28th one year, 2nd the next. Back to 23rd after that, straight up to 4th the following year.
  12. Why I think this is negative: Players should be at OBD pouring over film of themselves, identifying and correcting every last miscue and determining a better path forward. Why I think is is positive: The CBA doesn't permit the above, and technology permits players to do so remotely. So to THAT point, it allows players an opportunity to demonstrate accountability and to take matters into their own hands. Rex is a coach of a professional team. He's little more than a facilitator. He wants his team to own it. We hated Marrone for being a micro-managing hardass and we all knew damn well we were getting the exact opposite in Rex. If this team really wants it, he's giving them a chance to prove it. We have locker room leaders, we have players that will communicate with one another during the break. There is a sentiment here that "week off" means Rex is flying the team to Tahiti. The truth is in between, folks.
  13. Can't we just critique players without demanding a coach be fired?
  14. I actually don't think that's true. Two wild card spots will go to: Pittsburgh (4-3) NYJ (4-2) BUF (3-4) MIA (3-3) OAK (3-3) If we win the next two weeks, adding a loss to both NYJ and MIA, it's HUGE, with Pittsburgh having to play CIN and OAK during that stretch. These next two weeks will snap the Wild Card race into focus. Then, as you know, it's on to Foxboro for MNF for these Bills.
  15. I have mixed feelings about this. Which means I think it could be positive, too. http://twitter.com/viccarucci/status/658687956522168320
  16. Um. They drafted Garoplo in the second.
  17. Can't lose either of the next two games. MUST win them both.
  18. Last year we were told this was Marrone's fault. One locker room comment a couple weeks ago led me to temporarily conceded that it was. It wasn't.
  19. You mean like: http://twitter.com/ChrisTrapasso/status/658680395169419264
  20. Glenn is having one bad season. In order, here's who's not holding up their ends of the bargain this year, as far as falling shy of expectations go: Glenn Brown Bradham Graham D. Williams Henderson John Miller Eric Wood That's both linebackers, both safeties, and everyone on the offensive line not named Richie. I don't believe many resources will be tied up into the QB position this year.
  21. You gotta give Barbarian credit. He's nuttier than squirrel ****. But at least he's consistent.
  22. I hear you. I do. But in this case it's also tailoring a defense to hide a glaring weakness. I fully expect safety to play a big part of the offseason plans. And since we're locking up our own young talent, and since the GM has actually SAID that after the Clay and McCoy acquisitions that Bills fans should temper their FA expectations for next year: at this point in time, I'm about 80% sure our first draft pick in 2015 is a safety.
  23. Yeah, but if you take those like 6-8 years out, Hitler lived a pretty decent life. I mean, is it really fair to judge a guy on just a couple of years when he lived to be 56? There. I did it. Godwin's law. It was time. This has gone on long enough.
  24. I've lived in the parallel universe wherein Adrian Wilson never blew Trent Edwards face off his neck. He actually turned out to be a top 18 QB not taking that hit. Was just about to start a thread about it, but since you posted this here, I figured I'd let everyone know. Edwards didn't get a fair shake in Buffalo. I traveled through dozens of dimensions to be certain of this. You must trust me.
  25. DO YOUR JOB These three words make Bellicheat a freaking genius. Sadly, it's !@#$ing true. Everybody sucks at their job. Everywhere. Every industry. Every level.
