That would be hilarious. -
What do you expect from a Buffalo Bills message board?
-
Not according to Chris Brown. Tuel is in the running for the #2 spot. Says Tuel came back this year noticeably stronger and is making some of the best throws so far.
-
Absolutly!!! To be fair, I think it should be pointed out that the Bills also ran the ball more than anyone else.

Rosenhaus is sued By DeSean Jackson
Rockinon replied to Big Hurt's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I for one hope Jackson actually does have a case. It will help to cripple the leverage that agents have. These guys are after one thing and one thing only......money. They could care less about the possibility of harming an athlete's future. Not saying that holding out is wrong. However, some athletes have made a home for themselves on their team and an agent comes along and whispers in his ear, "I can make you millions more" and then tries to justify it with "More money is better for your family". Sometimes, the move does not make you happy. Sometimes building toward a goal isn't about the money. Sometimes the family atmosphere of belonging to a team that is successful should be the goal. I often think that athletes being people like anyone else, hire a someone like an agent so they don't have to engulf themselves in the business side of things. That's fine. They tend to rely on that agent to make the right move for them except sometimes they do not do the right thing. Like you know, talk it over with the athlete to see what he really wants. -
2014 Bills OTAs Part 3 (June 9th - June 12th)
Rockinon replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Remember how everyone was talking up the Seahawks secondary last year? The Bills backfield hung with them throughout the year last year. Not quite as good but among the best in the league. I think we may have the the best secondary in the league this year. We added some more talent to the pool and Gilmore should be a big improvement over last year as well. -
Bills at the top of the list. What's your favorite? I like this one: And this one:

Anyone else concerned about special teams?
Rockinon replied to cale's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wanted Crossman fired last year. I think though that the NFL's stupid rules changes from a couple of years ago was the biggest thing to kill Buffalo's special teams prowess. Wedge blocking is now illegal and nearly all kickoffs are now touchbacks because of moving the ball up further. The Bills have some of the best return men in the league, yet they rarely get the chance to even bring it out. Now special teams is anything but special. A kicker should have to work to get the ball deep into the endzone, now everyone can do it. Stupid. Wedge blocking is a game plan that Buffalo mastered, but now it's not allowed. Stupid. Stupid, stupid stupid....... On a more positive note though, we now have some guys that can get down field and make a play in coverage. Can't see us getting worse there, even with Crossman as the ST coach. -
Spiller had nearly 6000 all purpose yards from 2006 - 2009 at Clemson. I would not say not as complete, however these guys are completely different athletes. Spiller is more of a running back while Watkins is a very special receiving talent. Both are shifty but Watkins looks more durable. I am excited about Watkins too. I just wanted you to realize that Spiller is Clemson's all time leader in all purpose yards. That, in it's own right is pretty impressive. BTW, Watkins is second in Clemson history but trails by over 1000 all purpose yds.

2014 Bills OTAs Part 2 (June 3rd - June 5th)

When the pads went on, the D started dialing up some pressure. That OL was awful all year. Me too. You could be right. -

2014 Bills OTAs Part 2 (June 3rd - June 5th)
Rockinon replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea, but Robey got a sack! Who said that Schwarts wouldn't use a corner blitz? If they don't have to keep a guy who's only position is long snapper, that's what they'll do. Opens up a roster spot somewhere else. -
Ballmer: 2 Billion for Clippers
Rockinon replied to Hail Flutie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a certain Google executive who won't want to be outdone by this former Microsoft exec. I wonder if he is serious about buying the Bills. -
I don't foresee a big change from last year in terms of scheme. Schwarts actually spent time in the off season to keep the current terminology the same. He is certainly going to throw in his own wrinkles, but he does not have to reinvent the wheel. The D had a lot of success last year so the changes he makes will involve stopping the run more than anything. He will like to keep many things the same.

CJ Spillers increased role in offense?
Rockinon replied to Original Byrd Man's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see a lot of criticism for play calling and CJ. Me, I think Marone was trying to get a good feel for the OL's weaknesses. The fact that we picked up 4 OLmen in the off season tells me he was not impressed with their performance at all. CJ can run up the middle with a decent block by an offensive guard. He would run where the hole was supposed to be but there was never anything big enough to run through last year. You cannot just use CJ for sweeps. That's ludicrous. He has to be able to run in multiple directions. Off of left tackle, right tackle, left guard and right guard. The threat to run in any given direction is how he will succeed best. This notion that he cannot run up the middle is just wrong. Give the guy a frigging hole to run through and he'll be fine. What we are going to see is a lot of running, just like last year. I don't think Hackett is going to abandon that. The difference is putting road graders in to help with that. We should also see a big improvement with pass protection as well. Bigger is definitely better. I like where we are heading. This team is planning to implement a smash mouth style of play, instead of trying get all cutesy with trickery. I'm looking forward to seeing dramatic improvement by our offense this year. -
2014 projected bills starters from nfl.com
Rockinon replied to TPS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We might see 3 new starters on the OL week one. -
I really think this is a non-issue because I think the NFL really is not interested in moving the Bills anyway. Frankly, I see these politicians as nothing more than fist pumpers so that when the Bill don't move anyway they can then pat themselves on the back and act like they are responsible for keeping the Bills in western NY.

AFC East Winner or When will Brady decline?
Rockinon replied to Chas56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can we just stop with the "Bills with Brady" dialog. That just turns my stomach. There is nothing that would make me happier than flat out defeating NE with their precious Brady. The final game we had against NE last year was a failure because our defense could not stop the run. Brady was under pressure the whole game and could not get anything going through the air. With an improved defense and a competent offense, the Bills knock NE off with ease. It's coming. I can smell it. -
