  1. Agreed, pay him and pay him well. At the age of 26 he's got at least 6 more great seasons in him, his presence makes the entire offense better.
  2. I'd pay more for Peters. Good RB's are a dime-a-dozen in the NFL nowadays, elite LT's are not.
  3. Exactly, I still can't understand why on the next day Marshawn didn't come forward, he would have been issued a misdemeanor level traffic ticket and would have his chance in court to explain his behavior. I would hedge a bet that if he was issued the summons for misdemeanor leaving the scene of a personal injury accident he probably would have been offered a plea deal down to the violation level of leaving the scene thus allowing him to play in Canada. Now because the DA has to take this to grand jury and find information through subpoena you can forget about a plea bargain down the road. Because he hasn't resolved this (lawyers advice) 3 of his team mates and bills officials have been subpoenad thus opening the door for any one of them to perjur themselves and make this entire situation get a hell of a lot worse. Marshawn has made his problem the entire teams problem. What an exemplary act and great PR move it would have been to go to the police station the next day, turn himself in and hold a press conference and apologize for his actions. Nope, instead we get this heaping pile of BS. If his lawyer had half of a brain he'd realize that cooperating and apologizing raises the likelihood of a plea bargain down the road
  4. If that is actually the case it would be a huge mistake to sign him to this team which as of late seems to be teetering on having some minor personnel concerns, add a self entitled and vocal veteran to this team and it implodes. No thanks.
  5. I think you nailed it right there, oddly enough I think the biggest question mark for this season goes on the offense. I see this defense as at least being a top 15 unit, more likely a top 10 IMO.
  6. Kyle Williams is the absolute definition of average IMO. The blind faith that has been placed in him since his 2nd week on the team is troubling, Spencer Johnson and John McCargo are FAR better players than he. McCargo was the one member of the defensive line last year that appeared to be on the verge of something great.
  7. I have a huge worry about him testifying, he probably wasn't driving but I hope he dosn't perjur himself.
  8. Take it for what we want? Gee, you think TBD is some racist place when the fact is that no one on this board has ever brought up Marshawn's skin color. You are actually the first to imply it, congratulations!! There is an African American man right now who is most likely going to be the next president of the United States, stop with this "everyone is racist" BS. Get over it please.
  9. Issuing subpoeanas to follow up on an investigation is standard procedure, all who may possibly hold pertinent information can be subpoenad. All will testify in front of 23 jurors and see if there is enough for indictment which I assume there will be given the basic facts of this case. I honestly hope that none of them perjur themselves, that would be far greater of a concern than a hit and run. I worry the most about James Hardy in this case if he was a passenger.
  10. It's called investigative reporting and every major news outlet follows the same pattern, it sells papers. If all of these allegations are true I think that Marshawn may have an alcohol problem.
  11. If this information is correct I find it very disheartening as I perceived Lynch to be a stand up guy. It's also bothersome to hear that this incident has occurred twice which in reality indicates that it's probably happened more. I'd hate to think that he has some sort of drinking problem.
  12. Which version are you playing? I'm in my 11th season with the Bills right now in franchise mode on the 360 and I see absolutely no progression in players even after having an amazing season. I have a drafted WR who just led the league in catches, yards and touchdowns, his rating was an 84 to begin the season and is now a stellar 84, complete BS. On the PC versions (RIP) players would get progression points based on performance, it was awesome because you could use a rookie player and as long as he played well the progression was realistic. You could have most rookies in the 90's by their 3rd year. On the 360 version you have to train your teams on a weekly basis, this consists of selecting only 3 players and taking them through drills so as to gain points for their attributes. It's extremely poor, locks up often and is completely unrealistic.
  13. I agree after hearing that Clark may have to resort to taking this case to grand jury. Although a grand jury can indict on misdemeanor charges it's only usually when it's attached to a felony. If Marshawn walks the Bills fan which occupies 10% of my personality will be happy while the other 90% will still be dissapointed for his and others complete lack of cooperation in a very real situation in which someone was injured whether or not due to negligence.
  14. No. Minimizing the incident itself makes the argument weak. Lynch needs to own up to this and throw himself at the mercy of the league and courts. Humility = less chance of suspension. Calling a personal injury hit-and-run "no biggie" will only piss off the victims and family and anyone else who has ever been or known a victim of a hit and run.
  15. Yes but it was pre-Goodell (sp?), ole Roger seems to lay on the punishments nice and thick which I actually agree with.
  16. While all your statements are accurate I think that most of the worry from fans is based on the potential punishment that Marshawn suffers from the league for #1 the incident itself and #2 his perceived lack of cooperation when dealing with the situation. My bet is that he's suspended for at least 4 games whether he's charged or not.
  17. Damn straight, they probably win 5 games at most this season because their O-line is horrendous. Me and 4 folks from the ARC could play better O-line than them. If I was Davis I would have traded the last 3 years top 5 picks for legit starting lineman but he always opts for "skill" positions, what a freaking moron.
  18. Agreed, if Greer is playing as the best CB then he starts in the #1 slot. I have a feeling that he will unseat McGee, I know I know, McGee had 1,289 passes defensed last year.
  19. The Anthony Thomas trend has great staying power, I'm thinking of buying 1000.
  20. I think it's crazy to have that type of confidence in such a speculation.
  21. Okay, so he's not know throughout the league for using the "shake -n- bake"? I guess that technique is known for power. Your arrogant response is rather surprising given that you are an open supporter of NPR, an institution which is supposedly based on compassion and understanding.
  22. Peterson a power back? Peterson seems more finesse and jukey whereas Marshawn drags and plows. Lynch will certainly have the longer career IMO as long as he stays out of trouble.
  23. A month ago I would have shuddered at the idea of Chris Henry playing in Buffalo but given the incidents lately regarding Hardy and Lynch he might just fit right in. Henry can steal the car, Lynch will be the driver and Hardy will be the gun man.
