  1. Solid. I'm expecting Evans to put up 1000+ and Parrish to finally be able to open things up. I'd be happy if Hardy had 5 or 6 TD's with hopefully a dominant red zone presence.
  2. I'm not kidding, you are my hero and are by far the best poster on this message board. Just don't over do it, your timing is perfect.
  3. Good call on the Poz and Whitner expectations, Whitner needs to move into the elite and Poz needs to solidify the leader role. Mix in consistent play from Stroud and the D-line and hopefully McKelvin won't get picked on too bad. I have a feeling that the acquisition of Stroud may be the biggest move only because the presence of Stroud draws mucho attention which in turn frees up the LB's. I expect big seasons from all 3 LB's.
  4. Not to sound redundant (referring back to our postings months ago on god knows what) but not every officer of the law is a corrupt person, there are some officers out there (probably more than most think) that actually take pride in treating people with respect and trying to take a laid back approach to law enforcement. Sure there are idiot redneck morons on the Austin Police Department, there are idiot redneck morons in every type of employment, it is impossible to escape their stupidity. I'm sure for every bad officer in the Austin PD there are probably 2 or 3 that want nothing to do with corruption or any sort of BS like this. For every bad incident in which an officer is accused of improper use of force there are probably fifty good incidents which go un-noticed. I would never ask you to change your opinions at all because you certainly provide sources and have well thought out points but please don't lump all of us together. Just like there are bad teachers and good teachers, there are bad lawyers, good lawyers, bad doctors, good doctors. The nature of humanity does not change with profession.
  5. Post of the year, makes me laugh every time no joke.
  6. I was in Buffalo 3 or 4 seasons ago during a very snowy blowout loss to the Patriots, the Pats got something like 35 first downs that game, I remember commenting with my Dad about how it was just so freaking amazing that Brady knew exactly where to throw the ball every time. Thanks Dicktriots, thanks for wasting my money and time.
  7. I agree, I think that's why Goodell played dumb all along and destroyed the original tape. Anything that undermines the credibility of the NFL will never be brought forward if the commish has any say whatsoever. I'm sure some mathematician somewhere crunched the numbers and figured that it would cost he NFL billions over time should the Patriots be exposed. I say screw it though, we've all invested countless dollars and hours into this sport and I'd be willing to invest much more if some honesty was brought forth. Nothing will happen though and the Patriots will probably still win 14 games next season by cheating, Bill Belichik is a bad person by every measure, he'll find a way to win and his butt buddy owner will back him.
  8. That is pathetic from top to bottom, I cannot imagine that police department falling into any sort of favor with the local public. It truly does suck for everyone involved, #1 the motorist who is not being treated with any discretion, #2 for the cop that is probably "coached" by his higher-ups to go out and write more tickets which results in him/her feeling like a piece of garbage and like someone who isn't getting to do any real police work. #3 for the department and community itself, why would anyone want to visit that area and patronize local businesses if they feel that there is a strong chance they will end up getting a ticket.
  9. If you miss a hearing in my department you not only risk a tongue lashing from the boss man but also a suspension. If you write the ticket or make the arrest then you should be prepared to defend your accusations, it's justice on the most basic level. As for showing up to court I recommend it to everyone that I issue a ticket to, quite often the person will be able to take a plea bargain or a reduced fine. Simple atonement for ones actions almost always reduce the punishment where I work.
  10. That may be true in Virginia but where I work as a police officer almost 90% of the fines collected on traffic tickets go back to the state in the form of surcharges and fees. I work for a 15 man department which runs a minimum of two officers 24/7/365. Last year our department wrote over 1000 tickets which netted the municipality a total of about $10,000 in fines collected, the state got all the rest. Apply this $10,000 to the cost of maintaining and operating a court (a full time court clerk who makes over $30,000 per year and a part time judge collecting $20,000) and suddenly one realizes that this municipality isn't making any money off of writing tickets which is a very good thing. I was trained to believe that issuing a traffic ticket is a means of educating the operator of their driving violation(s), not a means to collect money. I only issue a traffic ticket when I feel that a verbal warning and some discussion is not going to help coach the violator to become a safer driver.
  11. During his first season I think Hardy's presence in the #2 spot translates into big numbers for Evans, Parrish and Reed. At nearly 6'7" he is certainly going to draw attention from opposing defenses and will draw major attention in the red zone. He'll make his catches and is certainly going to grab some scores but his position will mainly be to free up Evans and Parrish/Reed. It doesn't worry me all that much, he will draw attention off of Evans who managed 1200+ yards with Peerless Price as his #2, Peerless wasn't exactly stellar. As for Malcolm Kelly, after his bad pro-days I've come to view him more as an underweight Tight End. The guy is just plain slow, hands or no hands a legit NFL receiver needs to be able to break away.
  12. McGee is not a true #2 either and should go back in the slot where he belongs, Greer played far better last season and should be playing #1.
  13. Setting up a poll and then putting opinionated remarks in quotations next to some of the choices is about as unfair as you can get. Very stupid as usual.
  14. Solid rebuttal, man you effin pwned his asss!!!!! Seriously though, it's totally a retarded word but I think it's more net chatter than ghetto talk.
  15. It's computer banter for the word "owned", some person for some reason replaced the 'o' with a 'p' and it is actually pronounced "poned". I couldn't explain it but it does make me laugh and it seems to fit Youboty's name quite well. Ashton gets owned by whoever he is lining up against, he often sais "you owned me", Ashton Youpwned me. Yes, I'm a loser.
  16. Use photo shop and take a picture of Dick Jauron and encircle it with a pink heart and then caption it with "I am sexually attracted to Dick Jauron" I think it'd be funny. For the record though I wasn't the one who made the bet with you, not sure who is.
  17. lol, he'd probably kindly get up and ask if anyone else in the room needed anything before he left. There should still be major concerns with his coaching ability even now with all the talent that this team has seemingly picked up.
  18. While I'm satisfied with the first 2 picks of the draft so far I won't speculate on what this teams record could have been with a different coach. There were many close games that were lost because of what seeemed to be a lacking of a killer attitude on offense. It could have easily gone 9-7 or perhaps even 10-6 if Dick Jauron was in possession of actual reproductive organs is what I'm saying. Dick the asexual, odd right?
  19. I agree with this lineup. Greer was the best CB on this team last year which honestly doesn't say too much for everyone else. McGee seemed out of position too often and had very serious issues with taller WR's. While Greer is actually smaller than McGee he appeared to blanket the opposition much better. Someone will cite now how Mcgee had like 2,143 passes defensed last season blah blah blah, he gave up far too many touchdowns.
  20. I gotta think this spells the end for Ashton Youboty. 2 CBs taken in the first 4 rounds? Coaches must have zero confidence in his playing ability.
  21. 4.1 is pretty weak dude. When no one was around the other day I ran it in 2.12, in work boots.
  22. "A confused Jim Kelly nervously smiled as he looked down to notice an eleven inch penis dangling from Hillary's nether regions"
  23. The entire planet dies a little bit with every one of LSI's posts. I dread the day when he comes on here to announce that he's going to be a father. Go sterilization!!!!!
