  1. Yeah, that would have been terrible...😄😄
  2. It’s making me sick watching these ex-Cowboys on NFL network talking about how they considered the NFCC game a bigger challenge than the Super bowl...
  3. Don’t feed the troll
  4. Well, they certainly won't let him go for less than three first round picks, including at least one of the top three overall.
  5. I don't think the Texans want to trade Watson, but he might force their hand. Hard to tell what's really going on behind the scene. For a new GM, it might be tempting to start from scratch with a ton of draft picks and a decent prospect like Darnold.
  6. I'd put him at number four, behind Allen, Mahomes and Rodgers. I think he's surpassed Wilson. If I'm starting from scratch, I'd rather have Watson than Rodgers.
  7. I agree. It's a risk. I also don't think Darnold is the answer, but some people still think pretty highly of him. They could test drive him cheap for a year. And they would also have picks to use if they like a QB in the draft.
  8. They still had a crappy defense, especially against the pass, even with Adams.
  9. I don't know, I think it would be a really good trade for both teams. It's risky for Houston, yes, but the status quo is unacceptable. Did you know the Jets also got the Seahawks' third round pick this year in that trade?
  10. Ok, good. A lot of people just assume that Diggs was a superstar who made Allen what he is, which isn't quite the case...
  11. See my post above. The Jets have four first-round picks in the next two drafts; Two this year, two next year. They could trade three of them for Watson and still have three day-2 picks this year and a full complement of picks next year.
  12. The Jets have four first-round picks in the next two drafts. They can certainly afford to send three of them to Houston for Watson. If they trade both this year's ones and one next year, they still have three picks in the first three rounds this year and a full draft next year. And yes, the price for Watson is likely to be three first round picks. Jamal Adams commanded two first, as did Kalil Mack.
  13. Allen has helped Diggs at least as much as Diggs helped Allen. Diggs was a very good but not elite WR in Minnesota, even with a pretty good QB like Cousins throwing him the ball. With Allen, he's found a whole new level. Same with Beasley...
  14. That's a very good point...Watson supposedly has a no-trade clause in his contract.
  15. But if you're Houston, wouldn't you prefer getting a bunch of high picks (plus Darnold) from someone like the Jets? I mean, Stafford's already 33 and he's really nothing more than a good bridge QB at this point... Hardly...
  16. I would think a mid-round first would get it done; maybe less. Probably makes sense for the Colts. He's a (small) step up from Rivers...
  17. I don't think that's true. Let's say the Jets have to give up both ones this year, a first next year, and Darnold. That would leave them with a second and two third-round picks this year, and picks in each of the first three rounds next year. That's hardly a bare cupboard, especially when you've added a franchise QB to the mix. I don't know what their cap situation is.
  18. Becton was an absolute home run, Mims looks like a good pick and I think the safety from Cal that they took in round three is going to be good. And the Adams trade was a steal. Not sure who the second receiver was that they passed on...So far, so good.
  19. I don't think the Jets are so inept anymore. They have a good GM finally, and may have gotten themselves a competent coach. Watson immediately makes them a wildcard contender, at least.
  20. Yep. And the Jets have 4 in the next two drafts. And 3 seconds, I think. And they now have real GM to make the picks.
  21. The Jets could make the trade and still have plenty of draft picks left in the next two years. With Watson, they will be a serious threat. They are not as bad as Gase made them look.
