Unfortunately that, right there, is the key. No, this game doesn't mean much to the Colts, but under any other circumstance I would still think Indy would play to win. However, things are different since, if Denver and NY both win, Indy will play Denver again the following week in the playoffs. Now, if you were Dungy, would you rather play the pathetic Broncos, or the red-hot Bills, in the playoffs? If the answer is the Broncos, then the right move is to play very vanilla and let Denver win. The Jets, in all likelihood, will win as well, which means you then get to play Denver at home in the first round. Even if the Jets lose and the Bills win, that just means they get to play the Bills, which is unfortunate for them, but at least they tried.

Someone ask for a prescription?

TO is definitely toast. The Super Bowl is 7 weeks from the date of his injury. No way can he come back from a broken fibula and a bad ankle in 7 weeks. He certainly can't come back with time to practice enough to get into game shape.

I have the 51-3 game on VCR, and I can probably convert it to DVD if people are interested.

This disease is spreading almost as fast as the cowbell... ...could there actually be a thing as too much cowbell?

Not sure why that would be...I'm using the same broswer (Safari) as the previous day when I uploaded an avatar and it worked. And I'm using the same avatar file as the previous day when it worked. The file is 4K in size and opens fine in any image editing program. I've tried other files with no luck, either. I've even tried a different browser (IE) without luck.

I just eventually took mine off out of frustration. But now I put it back, tried all the tricks, and still nothing. Hopefully you see the generic image holder icon now.

Doesn't that come out of their net average? Gross should still be whatever the punt was.

Didn't work for me.

I've been trying to switch avatars to a new cowbell avatar for a while now with no luck. I've tried .jpg files, .gif files, all with no luck. All are smaller than 80x80, and all smaller than the requested file size. All I get is the red 'X'. Even switching back to the previous cowbell avatar isn't working. I tried the quick fix noted in the sticky above, but still no luck. Any thoughts?

Well, one thing is for certain, assuming we beat San Fran: We won't know anything about our playoff destiny prior to the final game against Pittsburgh, so it'll be one hell of a ride the rest of the way. And that's about all one could ask for after an 0-4 start. Well, that and a little more cowbell.

The only thing you need to be concerned about is this: we need to win out. If we win out, we are 10-6. If Baltimore, Denver, and/or Jacksonville loses one more game, the best they can finish is 9-7. So, if we assume that we win out (and why not? if we don't, who cares about the playoffs), then a single loss by any of these teams effectively eliminates them from the post-season. It doesn't officially eliminate them, but if you take the assumption that we win out to finish 10-6, it essentially does. Which is why, by the start of our game on Sunday, we may actually be in the driver's seat, so to speak. If Denver loses on Saturday, and Baltimore and Jacksonville lose their early games on Sunday, we would already know the path that lies before us.... (and, just as an aside, MORE COWBELL)
