  7. Here's his rap sheet. He can't play if he's in jail. In January 2003, police filed complaints against Crowder and teammates Mo Mitchell and Brian Crum. They were accused of tearing the mirrors off eight cars. Gainesville police officer Carol Davis took the report from a witness and a sworn complaint was filed, which included eight misdemeanor charges with a total damage estimate of $1,200, according to the police report. The state attorney's office dismissed charges later in the year after state attorney Bill Cervone said investigators were unable to locate the only witness in the case, and there was no forensic evidence to move the case forward. Prior to the 2003 season, Crowder and a fellow Florida freshman, defensive end Steven Harris, were booked into the Alachua County jail. The incident happened at 2 a.m. on April 13 in the parking lot of The Palace nightclub. Both Crowder and Harris punched and kicked Brian Assent in the head and face, according to the arrest report. Assents' friends brought him to the hospital. The attack led to "permanent disfigurement," according to the report. Assent, then 22, lost a tooth and had five others loosened. He got a cut on his face that required 11 stitches, along with other cuts and bruises. He told police a few hours later that a few UF football players showed up at The Palace and started causing problems, said Gainesville Police Sgt. Keith Kameg. When Assent left the nightclub, someone reportedly punched him in the face. He fell, lost consciousness, and didn't remember the rest of the attack. His friends later told him a couple of people kicked him several times and that they might be UF football players, Kameg said. Assent positively identified Crowder and Harris from a photo lineup, according to the report. The two were arrested at the Springs Complex on the University of Florida campus. Crowder was placed on supervised probation for six months and had to pay $340 in fines and court costs and serve 34 hours of community service. Crowder also was ordered to have no contact with Assent, attend counseling at the university and not to drink alcohol. Florida coach Ron Zook suspended Crowder for the 2003 season opener vs. San Jose State as punishment. In May 2004, Crowder was arrested again for disorderly conduct outside of the same nightclub. The incident violated his probation from the first incident and he was sentenced to 20 hours of community service. The incident began as Crowder and an unidentified man began shouting at one another. A crowd gathered around the men, drawing the police's attention. Officer Robert Hager told them to leave, but Crowder stopped in the middle of the street, held up traffic and kept yelling at the other man, according to the report. Seconds later, Crowder began arguing with another man and chased him when he fled. Police caught up to them in the parking lot of another nightclub a few blocks away, and an officer fell trying to apprehend Crowder. Crowder ran again but stopped when Hager yelled his name. Police say Crowder then refused to put his hands behind his back when they tried to handcuff him. According to the report, Herring "repeatedly interfered" with the officers as they tried to arrest Crowder. They said he refused officers' commands to leave the area. Crowder was charged with disorderly conduct, and Herring was charged with resisting or obstructing without violence. They were released from the Alachua County Detention Center later Sunday. Zook suspended both for the 2004 Middle Tennessee game as punishment.
  8. Jason Brown or Ben Wilkerson centers
  9. The guy's been arrested 3 times. No thanks!
  10. Talking about Roscoe
  11. Barnes is gone. Terry at 55. I'll pick him & so will the Bills
  12. I've got a real dilemma. I've been touting Terry, but Barnes who isn't even on my board is better-I never thought he'd be here & I didn't think he was a 1st round value. But if he lasts to 55, I'm not sure what to do.
  13. Called it, just had the pick# wrong the 1st time
  14. It better be Philly
  15. Too many commercials
  16. Some predictions in 2nd: NYG - Barnes, Ariz Walter, Min or Jets-Nugent,Bills-Terry
  17. Barnes will be gone no later than the Giants pick #43
  18. Not going to happen. We don't want Shelton. We'll get a 3rd from Ariz or Philly & like it.
  19. I ended up getting picks 1, 5, 6, 15, 17, 24, 25 & 32 right. Not enough to win anything, but since I got Campbell right at 25, they should send me a can of soup.
  20. It's at least 50-50 that Adam Terry is there at 55. We can take him there. But-if Nuge is there I'd take him & hope Terry is still there when the Travis Henry pick is up, maybe even move up a little for Terry.
  21. Travis & his agent are dumb enough to keep him home until we trade him. Let's take the 3rd, use our third to move up in the 2nd and move on. It's sorta like if you were a boss who had a troublemaker who just gave you 2 weeks notice. Chances are you'd just say get the f out now, even if you had to pay him it wouldn't be worth keeping the bum around. That's the position we're in with Travis-he's worthless to us as a player. His worth is only what we can trade him for.
  22. Not likely because we have so far to move, but if we have any chance of getting him we should go for it. GMs can be such idiots when it comes to injured players. Don't they realize that injuries heal and if the prognosis is good, you shouldn't drop an injured player off your board. Let the other GMs keep dropping these players & we'll keep scooping them up at bargain values.
  23. Wow, real estate appreciation is a lot slower down there. My neighborhood is up about 50% since 2002. I hope the sellers realize that the house won't appraise higher than market, so unless the buyer has a large down payment, the bank won't approve the loan & they'll never be able to sell it until they come down.
  24. Thanks Jax, now we don't have to hear about Jones anymore
