  2. and not the Buffalo Bills? The Ravens as Super Bowl contenders folks are saying the Ravens have a superb defense & a top running back and that Kyle Boller (who is a proven inconsistent QB & a probable bust) just has to play caretaker for them to succeed. 1st off, Boller has never shown he can even be a caretaker-he's very mistake prone & is about 2 bad games away from being replaced by Anthony Wright (who was injured last year, otherwise he might have replaced Boller last season). If the Ravens can win it all with either Boller or Wright, how can these same people be so Ravenhappy that they cannot conclude the same thing for the Bills. The last time I looked, the Ravens won the same # of games last year that the Bills won. The assumption that JP will make many more mistakes than Bledsoe, yet Boller can get Baltimore from 9-7 to the Super Bowl are beyond maddening. I don't know what FF Francessa said about the Ravens, but he had the audacity to say Losman will blow 5-6 games. Now that doesn't mean the Bills will win 10 or 11 games, he meant the Bills will lose around 10 games and at least half those losses will be directly related to JP's inexperience. These so called experts are so damn inconsistent & know absolutely nothing.
  3. HenryFumbles: Why don't you come to the tailgate with a fist full of $. A lot of us would be willing to bet you that Willis will outgain JP. There are only 2 scenarios JP outruns Willis. 1) Willis gets hurt & doesn't play much. 2) JP takes off from his endzone & runs 100 yds for a TD, padding stats enough to gain more yds than Willis. If they both make it through the game, Willis will outgain JP. I'll even go out on a limb and say that Willis will outgain JP in all 16 games and the three postseason games too.

  5. I am really sick & tired of reading Johm Wawrow's BS. They use his columns in the Albany Times Union & he always writes negative things about the Bills, cherry picking quotes & taking them out of their true context. If the Bills beat Houston 40-3, he'll find some PO'd linebacker who will be mad they lost the shutout use his quote & say the Bills D couldn't get the job done on Sunday. The guy has no credibility if you see his columns long enough. I wish his bosses would assign him to a team he likes, it would change him from a bitter vindictive reporter into a human being.
  6. My parents are both in their 80s, and make a heck of a lot more sense than SilverNRed does. I find his assumption that people in their 80s don't quite have all their faculties both offensive & wrong. He's just an ignoramus who doesn't understand that there are plenty of 80+ year olds who were taught to cut people like him slack because they've lost & still have more IQ points than he's ever had.
  7. Plenty of players scored low on the Wonderlic for a number of reasons. The most recent OL that I remember was Randy Thomas who was an honors student but only scored a 7 on the wonderlic because he blew off the test. Since I don't know why Peters scored a single digit Wonderlic, nor do most, it's too difficult to speculate. There are reasons that guys score poorly on Wondrelics that have nothing to do with intelligence, like Randy Thomas noted above. Leave Peters alone, nicknames made up by posters are usually annoying.
  8. Steelers' long snapper 1999-2004. Mularkey and Clements must like the guy.
  9. Bills | Schneck Signed Tue, 6 Sep 2005 14:45:03 -0700 Paul Sheehy, of ProStar Sports Agency, has confirmed to KFFL the Buffalo Bills have signed LS Mike Schneck (Steelers). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
  10. It's not "possible" for him to do anything until they get him off the practice squad & onto the 53 man roster
  11. Wooooorrrrrkkkkk?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
  12. The clock is ticking fast. Once Lindell plays, he's guaranteed $825,000 for the year. They better move if they want France because Baltimore & Tennessee are interested in him & Tennessee has some bum as their kicker. I don't know what's up with Baltimore wanting to bring France in for a tryout. Here's Tennessee's kicker Rob Bironas: http://www.titansonline.com/team/players/bio.php?PRKey=295
  13. I guess if you went to Gillette Stadium with a Video player & a tape of last year's Patriots at Dolphins game, you could see the Patriots get upset.
  14. Texans | Carr Looking to Rebound Mon, 5 Sep 2005 14:38:32 -0700 Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans QB David Carr looked sharp in practice Monday, Sept. 5. He had a horrible preseason finale against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, posting a 0.0 passer rating. A lot of QBs looked like s**t in preseason. Maybe these young QBs (and some old ones too) really do need a complete gameplan instead of the do nothing to let the opponents see on film game plans of exhibition games. Roethlisberger, Pennington, and even Brett Favre had some rough outings this preseason.
  15. The more playing time Flutie gets means the Pats are a weaker team. I hope Flutie starts 15 games.
  16. We should win by 7, but Lindell will miss a FG and we'll only win by 4. Houston covers & all Bills' fans who bet will want to string up Lindell.
  17. http://tiadaily.com/php-bin/news/showArticle.php?id=1026 I haven't seen this angle discussed so bluntly. I think the right wil like this better than the left.
  18. Tryout? If he has 2 legs and can walk, he's better than Lindell
  19. Explain why the belief that there is no hell is a foolish/dangerous way to go through life. Many religions don't believe in hell. As far as I know, there is no hell in Judiasm. Are you so f'd up that you can say Judiasm is a foolish/dangerous way to go through life?
  20. Like him or hate him, Belichick was always the same guy. Every year Gregg was here he was a different guy. In reality, we had 3 coaches. Gregg the disciplinarian, Gregg the average coach, Gregg Mr. Nice Guy. How can the guy be a successful head coach when he doesn't have an established personality. If Gregg wants to be a successful head coach he's not going to be unless he learned a lot from his mistakes in Buffalo. I don't see where he's learned to manage a game on gameday since he's been fired. He might have learned not to hire Ronnie Vinklarek or Pat Ruhl as his OL coach. Then again, he might have been introduced to Ronnie Jones in the past 2 years.
  21. If Reed can drop passes, why can't he drop some QBs? Relax. We can move either a LB (Posey) or DT (Bannan, Sape) there if needed. Plus, one or both of the DEs (Ritzmann, Gause) will be on the practice squad.
  22. Yep, Wilson was class of 2004 & was in Detroit's camp. He was on the Bills practice squad last year from 10/18/04 through the rest of the season.
  23. Jared Lorenzen, the 300 lb QB made the Giants as the 3rd stringer.
  24. Todd France had a very good camp/preseason with the Tampa Bay Bucs TD-claim this guy off waivers & dump Lindell. France has knocked around camps before just missing. Last year he was with the Giants & made it past the 53 cut but was cut before the season when Coughlin wanted a more experienced kicker & signed Christie. France is an improvement on Lindell. (Merged thread, not my title)
  25. I guess Tucker never fully recovered.
