  1. So, in essence, mob rules. Rex, you are not allowed to hold that opinion because a bunch of jerkoff precious snowflake millennials can't handle any dissent from their safespace hugbox ideas about how the world works. Yeah seems like a foolproof way to run an organzation. Oh, i dont like that the coach yelled at me and invalidated my identity, im not going to try now. wait until my tumblr community hears about this!
  2. I think it's pretty crappy that a certain type of person thinks it's ok to publicly/socially ostracize anyone who doesnt agree with them politically. You see it everywhere, the workplace, college campuses, in media, and so on. They're a bunch of Jacobins who if given the power wouldn't stop at verbal ostracization either. I'm looking forward to the adults taking back over and steering the ship back into the middle. If a player believes that Rex endorsing Trump is a problem that will prevent them from giving 100% on the field, then they should ask to be released from their contract, and Pegs should make it so, immediately. If I'm an owner or GM, I am absolutely not interested in the type of player that puts their own stupid opinions above team cohesion.
  3. So if a coach has a different opinion on politics than his players, the players shouldn't respect him? Are you a millennial by chance? That's the exact sort of idiotic crap I see a lot of out of people coming into the work force these days.
  4. if you saw the way Hello Kitty handled that dust tornado monster thing, you wouldn't be comparing her to watkins
  5. OK who's out there, we're nothing if not stark raving lunatics at speculation
  6. I hate to say it but yeah, this. He's become a distraction, and isn't going to contribute. Let him rehab for the next 11 months, skip camp, whatever he has to do, and he gets another shot next year, but starting to look like maybe start some long term contingency planning.
  7. Maybe short of amputation, he should go on the PUP list and we use the spot for someone who will contribute. I feel bad for the kid, but there's no indication that he's going to be a reliable member of the team. Might as well see what we've got in the other WRs
  8. it'll be an all time performance... plus run a few options for another 200 yards and 2 TDs. edit: i forgot, he'll run back kickoffs and punts, and maybe play CB for a pick 6 or 2 edit2: probably then rescue a kid from a burning house, then come back with habitat for humanity and help rebuild it
  9. The first problem with your theory is that BB doesn't have to 'go out of his way' to humiliate Rex. It just happens as a normal course of business, as BB is an order of magnitude better football coach than Rex is. That's not to say...that BB might not have a trick play or two up his sleeve that catch the Bills completely flat footed on D. Or maybe as simple as, Rex puts in his 10 DB 1 DL package, so BB goes to the power run. When Rex inevitably overracts to that and goes 10 DL 1 DB, BB goes to the air. This game has the potential to get ugly. The Bills can win, but probably wont because winning starts at the top and the Bills dont match up well there.
  10. Yeah, again, like I said last week, there's room for improvement but CK is playing an order of magnitude better than last year. There's no substitute for playing time, and he's finally getting it. He is, at a minimum, a serviceable player at this point, and only going to get better.
  11. I'd just like to point out that the Pats are winning without Tom Brady
  12. I said same to my wife as we were watching the game. That was dangerous, and Gilmore should pay a price for it, if for no other reason then to know not to do it again. He had a HORRIBLE game and looked lost out there. No heart, no drive, doesn't care.
  13. every time we hear about an executive resigning at our company, we always figure they got bought out. why wouldn't pegs give him a nice package to leave?
  14. Now I'm starting to wonder after Rex's presser, is he already done? Will he go down with the ship or will he try to maintain a shred of dignity by quitting at some point in the year? Dignity doesn't seem to be real high on his list of prized attributes, but it's pretty clear that he knows the gig is up, he's out of ideas and saddled with a sloppy undertalented team, the exact sort of thing that's lethal when combined with a coach like him.
  15. Niners and maybe the Jags. I was thinking about the Jags game. I'd sit TT, and start EJ. Give him a chance to avenge last year. I mean, otherwise, what's the story line on why to watch the game? The Bills go 3-13, I'm not sure who the 3rd win is, maybe 1 of the Miami games, maybe Cleveland. That last game against Cleveland is going to be one of the worst professional football games ever played. Can you imagine, 2 terrible teams on a cold/rainy day, going nowhere, at least one of them with a lame duck coach, maybe even an interim coach by that time. Maybe just save the trouble and forfeit the game, it's going to be like a funeral march.
  16. next you're going to tell me there's no santa
  17. Meh, getting guys back in game 5 or game 8 or whatever, then the excuse becomes "they have to get back in game shape" or "get up to speed" or whatever. Plus now, we're seeing injuries, so we're not going to be a complete team in any case. I'm thinking they're going to be lucky to win 4 games. 0-2 now, almost guaranteed to be 0-4. At that point, with 12 games left, even if they win half, it's 6-10, but i've not seen anything to indicate that they have what it takes to win half their games. The team is low on talent and without heart. The coaching is little league, and the leadership is terrible.
  18. I just wanted to bump my own thread here. Again, watching the Bills with their slow developing, gimmicky plays, versus the way good teams do it, is probably the most telling thing about the way things are going to turn out. We've got another scat back in mccoy who wont hit holes, maybe by design, to think that he's so fast that he can get around the edge, except he almost never does. The D looked confused all night, like they weren't calling plays, just lining up and getting beat. What a disgrace. Whomever ends up being coach, I certainly hope he comes along with a game plan from the post 1950s era.
  19. And that's just it, outside of Jerry Hughes, this is the most heartless, gutless bunch of wieners I've ever seen wear the Bills uni. They LOVE Rex because he asks nothing of them. They still get paid, and get to call themselves NFL players, they just don't have to work at it. I mean honestly, the 2-14 teams played harder than this.
  20. as for the game, I figure the Jets go very conservative and let their D shine. Don't give fitzy too many chances to screw it up.
  21. Agreed. Remember this time last year, going into week 2(?) against the Pats? The Bills had a good first game, Rex had 'built a bully' and NE came in and made the bills look like a bad college team? What, did we get 19 penalties or something like that? That's what broke it for me.
  22. Oh, they'll put together a streak, after it would have helped. These guys are the living embodiment of a day late and a dollar short. Like I said in another thread, watching ARI-NE was rather startling when contemplating where the Bills fit into the pack. The bills are slow and stupid compared to either of those teams. Simply put, the Bills aren't a competitive team. I mean, on any given sunday the ball might bounce our way in a close game, but 8-8 is probably the best we're going to see this year, 6-10 or 7-9 a lot more likely. Wasnt there a stat that Rex has never won 3 in a row?
  23. I'm not sure your 'evidence' says anything like what you think it says, but just understand, I blame it 90% on the FO and coaching, not the players. I mean sure, they're all fragile as faberge eggs, and have about as much passion as date night at the convent, but it's ultimately management's responsibility.
  24. The D may be better, though Baltimore isn't an offensive juggernaut, nor are the jets, so we dont know on that yet. The O regressed, at least so far, badly. It's not a far fetched idea, but that doesn't make it a likely one or supported by any evidence
  25. Like making fun of the handicap kid, not really cool any more, maybe he just feels bad now
