  1. As opposed to TBD, we we are all getting older and dumber from reading the posts.
  2. Well if that's a bar, then the Cowboys and Dolphins suck too. That makes me feel a little bit better. Lace up the helmets and let's go boys. Let's beat em like we did the Kaiser!
  3. I've watched a lot of football this year, and there are a lot fewer deep passing plays than a few years ago. It feels like when the Devils' Neutral Zone Trap was adopted by all the teams in the NHL. I understand it from a defensive standpoint, but it takes all the fun out of the game.
  4. So, this assumes that we're keeping McDermott: If everyone gets canned in NY, I like Mike Kafka. He's young and worked with Andy Reid for years. If not him, Tee Martin in Baltimore. The Bills talked to him last time. Darrell Bevell. Remember him from the Seahawks? He's currently Tua's QB coach. There are other guys, but those stand out.
  5. This all happened because they found out that with the addition of Fournette, McDermott wants to run 32 personnel in a T formation. Maybe you could bench Josh and just have Ty Johnson out there at the QB? Now that's complementary football.
  6. We're going to get 20 pages out of a 10-minute locker room huddle, aren't we?
  7. One message for the team from me. Play real football! The T-Formation was good enough for George Halas and Sid Luckman so it's good enough for Josh Allen and Ken Dorsey. I mean, the Bears won the 1940 NFL Championship Game 73-0 playing that way. What could go wrong?
  8. A squad with pluck and gumption to run my single-wing offense with power and determination to win the slobberknockers.
  9. So does Damar get the start if both Hyde and Poyer can't go?
  10. What about the 1921 Buffalo All-Americans, staring player-coach Tommy Hughitt. They was robbed too. This guy can play for my squad any day.
  11. Ah, the Willie Parker game. That one is up there.
  12. The part about the Bengals wasn't always true. In 2021 in their SB run, the Bengals' playbook almost entirely consisted of deep shot 50/50 balls to Chase and Higgins. They threw the ball all over the field. They came out that way last year and struggled. It was especially apparent in a week 5 game in Baltimore, where Burrow complained in the post-game PC about teams playing them with 2-high safeties and not being able to take the deep shots. They lost an ugly game in Cleveland going into the Bye. The whole offense stayed in Cincinnati (remember @Einstein comparing their dedication to that of the Bills, who all went to the beach) and they completely changed their approach to a controlled short passing game. It was night and day. Here are highlights of the Bengals most exciting game in 2021, a week 17 home win against KC. I wish teams could play like this again.
  13. There are all sorts of rules in the CBA about how often they can practice.
  14. A coaching search every two years did make for exciting Januarys.
  15. They talk about this stuff all the time. Turn in NFL network in the summer and you’ll likely see old Jim Brown footage, the Ice Bowl and Frank Gifford in the Greatest Game Ever Played. In another thread today, I wondered how badly the 1964 Bills would have been beaten by the NFL champion Browns in a hypothetical Superbowl -3.
  16. All coaches want a pocket passer. They want the plays run as they were designed and called. It's a control thing.
  17. I looked it up. Tyreek has had taunting called on him three times in his 7.5-year career. Twice in 2018 and once this year. That's not never, but it is close to never.
  18. I wonder how the 1964 AFL champion Bills would have fared against the 1964 Browns in a hypothetical Superbowl -3.
  19. That would be 2029, and that’s excluding the very real possibility that Josh signs an extension this off-season to match the Burrow contract.
  20. Those that are saying that Pegula is “too conservative” to fire McDermott have very short memories. He fired Rex with a game left in the season. He fired hockey coaches and GMs left and right. In fact, both franchises spun their wheels for years due to a lack of continuity. The stability has been good, but it may be time for a change with the Bills.
  21. If Josh goes to Pegula and says that he's unhappy with coaching, the coaching would be changed.
  22. every coach wants Tom Brady/Joe Burrow. They always make the safe throw. Josh Allen is built different. If these coaches won't use his strengths, it's time to find new coaches.
