I got into a discussion with a guy in a York pub years ago (It was the year Leeds United first got relegated). My argument was (and is) that the reason that the US doesn't compete in international football/soccer is that it's not the default sport here It's interesting to think about how certain Amerrican athletes would be as footballers. My usual example is Steph Curry. His feet are so quick, and he has elite vision. So does a guy like James Cook. You put a ball in their feet from birth and I think both would have been elite players.

Game week thread - Pats at Bills SNF

I think it's a good thing that the Pats won big last week. It got the Bills attention, even though film study will tell them that the Panthers quit in the second quarter. -
The best point in this video is that one of the reasons the running game is working so well is that heavy formations with 12 and 13 personnel are not pulling defenses out of cover 2. Because Josh Allen.

I came back to edit my post. Still, the Rush is too late. Rattler has one read on that play, and was easily able to get the ball out. Taron needs to get there faster or they need to send someone up the middle to rush the throw. As it was, it was an easy pitch and catch.

The problem with that play is that it's a chicken 💩 half-a$$ed call. Only 4 end up rushing, and Bosa of all people drops out into coverage to cover no one. And if a DE was spying Rattler, that's a stupid plan. If you're going to bother to show a blitz, actually blitz and bring more than 4. If Spags brings 7 guys to the LoS at the snap, at LEAST 5 are coming. I'd like to think that they are not blitzing out of these looks to get some tendencies on film that they can break later, but I have no way of knowing that. Interesting bit of history that I don't think most people know. Spags and McDermott come from the same Jim Johnson/Eagles coaching tree and therefore have very similar philosophies. So when people insist that McDermott is a Tampa 2 guy, that is just flat out wrong. That was Leslie Frazier. https://billswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2017/01/12/breaking-down-bills-hc-sean-mcdermotts-defensive-philosophy/79775018007/

Pretty simple. They are trying to grow a foothold in the Toronto market. They have the two greatest players in Toronto Raptors history as minority owners, and they are trying to use that. There is no way for the Bills to gain any coverage and grow their fanbase in the greater NYC market. It's just business.

The Rattler scramble on 3-7 on their first drive put the Saints in the game. The Josh Allen scramble on 3-5 in the 4th took them out of it. -

If I declare Josh McDaniels the offensive genius to end all offensive geniuses and kiss all 6 of the Pats rings, will you leave?
