  1. I only linked to this thread and gave @stevestojan his props. I didn’t bump it.
  2. Missing on picks always sucks, but you can’t compound the problem by waiting too long. My main criticism of Beane is not trading him last spring.
  3. Detroit. Listen, nobody is happy with the Elam situation. I’m just happy that the Bills got something and took the hit. All GMs miss on draft picks. The good ones cut bait and at least get something. The great Howie Roseman got zero for Jalen Reagor, who he took one pick before Justin Jefferson. They all miss!
  4. I had no idea either until I looked it up. #3 overall pick who a team gave up on after two years. Maybe he needs a different system but so far he’s been a bust.
  5. Because he’s a bust. The only year he played he got promptly traded for a 5th. From the Lions before they were good. If Elam is a bust, Okudah is a super bust.
  6. People are just disappointed because they have been waiting all day for news and this is what they get.
  7. Here's the thread from when he was traded from the Jags to the Panthers. It was less than three years ago. Couple of things. He went from "I lived him in the draft" to "camp body" pretty quickly. Also, @stevestojan absolutely called this.
  8. That story says nothing. They are just speculating and they answer a question with another question, and then report that Kupp will make his decision soon. They have no evidence that the Bills have any interest, jus that they "could." It's the worst kind of story that reputable outlets post that's only purpose is to generate clicks.
  9. It's 78 degrees in Cincinnati right now.
  10. But I have it on good authority from some TBD posters that the Saints mismanaged the cap so badly that they can't afford to sign anyone.
  11. Well, Mike Brown will be quick to inform everyone that all three of those players are under contract with the Bengals next year. Nobody HAS to be extended now.
  12. Or, Benford might be waiting for Sauce and Surtain to be extended and thereby driving the market for corners up.
  13. Jerry Jones does this because he's a control freak who treats his players like hired help. Mike Brown does this because he doesn't have the cash to pay the signing bonus to circumvent the cap.
  14. Cooper Kupp may be a former Superbowl MVP, but is he even the best Cooper? I mean, Cooper Newby-Stock read a whole 24-chapter book. Has Cooper Kupp ever read a 24-chapter book?
  15. Easy. Be a Dolphins fan. They hate Josh Allen like we used to hate Brady.
  16. A contingent of posters here wanted to take Roquon Smith at 12 and wait for Rudolph with KC's first. They argued about "draft value."
  17. It's part of a larger problem in that it's indicative of a team whose primary motivation is not winning football games.
  18. Two things can be true: Mike Brown never had any intention of trading him, so he set the bar where it knew it would never be met. Hendrickson is probably worth a first. Why is Hendrickson only worth a second, but Myles Garrett would have fetched multiple firsts? I know Garrett is the better player but, at least based on production over the past 5 seasons, the gap is not that big. I think people, including NFL GMs, still take draft positioning into account when assessing value.
  19. People were damn sure that this signing meant that Ty Johnson was gone. That produced a lot of really hot takes for about two hours.
  20. Zach Wilson got 3x that from Miami.
  21. Cody was a second-rounder who is still in the league. He just resigned with Cincinnati.
  22. Most valuable punching bag?
  23. This is what I mean by deck chair shuffling Harris to the Chargers Gainwell to the Steelers AJ Dillon to the Eagles Nobody got better. Just different.
  24. In a move that seems to have fallen between the cracks here at TBD, the Broncos signed Evan Engram. 2 years, 23 Million with 16.5 guaranteed.
  25. So much shuffling of the desk chairs going on right now:
