    Had they scored a FG or TD we would have marched down to score back, instead we intercept the ball and we can't hold on to it going on a fast 3 and out, as KOKBILLS said, we're a frustrating team to watch.

    That is why I liked the replacement refs, if they were bad, they were for everybody; at least they weren't subjective in their ineptitude.

    Competition next year if Carpenter can't handle the winds at the Ralph late in the season.

    That is just simply not realistic, but I'm not surprised by it, they are always favored one way or the other.

    I think this is the best way to handle the situation. Give the year to Carpenter to prove himself. He's still young and he could still find that consistency that he lacked playing for the turd phins. Carpenter is 27, guess what age Lindell was when Seattle cut him because they thought he was not going to get better? 26. Sucks for Hopkins but this is the NFL, it waits for no one.

    Why wasn't he the back-up? Maybe they thought EJ would not get injured until Legursky, Hopkins and Gilmore could come back, otherwise they would have had to cut someone healthy or even Lewis if he was on the official roster.

    I don't understand the timing of the situation but I won't especulate either way. I need more info.

    Freeman if EJ's injury is serious, if not bring back Thad Lewis and name him back-up. Kick the tires on some punters until next game, Powell is a liability.

    IIRC I saw at least 3 times we started it out with PA on first down.
