  1. No it's very surprising for the numbers to be that heavy in favor of 1 candidate. Dems went to court in many states to have the rules for voting loosened up and in many cases those changes were granted. There were fears that it would reduce the integrity of the vote. Now we have numbers that are very one sided and an unprecedented increase in vote counts. It needs to be looked at. No big deal, Audit the results and make sure they are air tight.
  2. Michigan had 4.8 million votes cast for Pres in 2016. This year the number will be between 5.5 and 5.6 million. That's a 16% increase. Unheard of and much larger than the increases throughout the county. Also, Trump went from about +320K at 2:00 AM eastern election night/AM to now down 150K votes meaning a 470K vote swing for Biden. In that time Trump gained few votes, Biden gained nearly all of them. Mail in voting aside, that doesn't smell right and it needs to be looked at. There are other irregularities in other states too. In the end we have to get this right and be confident that the numbers reflect real votes and whoever wins, wins but things don't smell right in some places. It has to be reviewed closely.
  3. I don't do mock drafts either. Pointless. It's over folks. Trump has got this in the bag and I'm surprised.
  4. Anyone that had Biden winning this thing by anything more than a sliver didn't do their homework or wishful thinking.
  5. Advice: Stay out of the prediction business.
  6. It's in the same location as bi-partisan support to come up with something better.
  7. Losing running mates are like short-term backup QB's. They become invisible quickly.
  8. Rated by who? House seats are much harder to poll/predict than statewide elections. I'm not saying R's will get a majority but we learned from 2016 that polling can be very flawed. My district is easily +4 R in terms of registration. the R candidate was the incumbent and really had no baggage and a good record. He ran a lazy campaign and lost.
  9. No. Trump trailed in the popular vote and R's had the house beginning 2017. It's a steep climb for R's to take the house but Trump doesn't need any margin for it to happen.
  10. If Trump wins it'll be the pollsters and MSM that once again got it wrong. They've been engaged in their own brand of theory and artistic (much of it bad art) rendering for months. Talk is cheap. Vote tally's are real data and a 100% sample. Just like a football game. The score at the end of 60 minutes trumps the score with 2 minutes to play, the statistics up until then and the previous records of the teams.
  11. Without the Senate he can't do anything. It really comes down to that.
  12. The priorities are the same regardless of who wins. In no particular order 1. Cut fed spending and reduce budget deficits, this includes serious entitlement revisions and might include some tax increases 2. End decades of illegal immigration. Right-size legal immigration and plug the problems at borders and visa over stays 3. End Obamacare, it simply didn't deliver what was promised and is not worth defending. Get into the nuts and bolts of health insurance and put new regs and rules in place that allow for more choice, health spending accounts for all and favorable tax treatment for all. Revise Medicaid to reduce the rate of cost increase. 4. Continue peace progress in Middle East started by Trump and fully exit Iraq and Afganistan. Reduce Chinese manufacturing dependence and continue tough stance on China and include China's poor environmental record. 5. Continue economic development efforts in areas in poor economic condition 6. Clean up 2016 domestic/government election interference and keep anyone involved in this fiasco from last Obama Admin out of government service. Prosecute wrondoers. 7. Make clear what are state and fed responsibilities and keep fed out of state and local issues. Example, states that run university programs should find their own ways to reduce college expenses for their citizens. 8. Tell populace that race relations are the responsibility of the people. Fed gov to continue to enforce laws in this area but beyond that it's up to the people. 9. Get fed gov out of exclusive college loan business and return it back to private sector and to the state university systems. Continue some fed grant programs.
  13. Somewhere there are people on the political left that can make reasoned arguments for their positions. Not that they are necessarily winning arguments but they are fairly well supported. You just won't find them on PPP.
  14. Maybe the fact that many kids enter with adults who are not their parents has something to do with it. Yes it does. When we start turning people away from entering improperly as we should so much of this gets better.
  15. We can debate the results or lack of them, but why in a 90 minute debate would any moderator ask the questions in your earlier post? Stick to the topics and the numbers. Even this post above does no justice to any of the topics. None.
  16. None of this deserves any air time. How about the candidates (and citizens) focus on the large items such as fiscal responsibility, illegal immigration, foreign policy and health insurance reform. The big 4. Improving these make us a better country.
  17. Prosecution from what? List each family member and their alleged crimes please.
  18. At this point, with all the evidence that has come out over the past 2 years, nobody in this country should be holding onto the belief that Joe/Hunter are simply being politically smeared. I don't know about anyone else around here, but I want good performance from elected officials. Fundamentally that means those elected working for the common good rather than putting political power and personal enrichment above that. Regardless of party affiliation, Joe Biden is the type of person who should be broomed from government forever. That is not a plug for Trump. Trump though by winning the 2016 election has helped to expose what a bunch of creeps there are in Washington and how difficult it is to expose them given their blankets of protection from each other and the media.
  19. OK, who here thinks that Donald Trump is responsible for the virus entering our country, that he commander in chief should have prevented it 100% from penetrating our borders and shores?
  20. Biden ain't no Ronald Reagan or Franklin Roosevelt. He's a very weak candidate, limping to the finish line having campaigned so little and with controversy mounting around him. His greatest strength is anti-Trump sentiment. The "Trump is responsible for 200K deaths" things rings hollow with many. No President and no world leader anywhere was or could have been successful in keeping Covid-19 outside their borders. The federal government has thrown the kitchen sink at this thing, and state governments have issued very tight restrictions and still many vulnerable people have passed away. Biden would have to win nearly every swing state to get to that total. It's just not going to happen. I think everyone should be expecting this thing to be quite competitive unless something huge happens in the next couple weeks.
  21. That's a really foolish notion. Not because Trump will necessarily win, but because the map would have to be historically bad for Trump. Joe's a very weak candidate. Only Trump's low likability and the 4 years of the media pounding Trump are keeping Joe in this thing. Joe could win though.
  22. And it's one piece of the lengthy story of Joe and Hunter collaborating in Ukraine. Hunter getting paid and Joe delivering what the company wanted. You'd think that U.S. citizens would be united in wanting to clean this ***** up. Instead, Joe wants the country to support him and elect him to the highest office in the land while he denies the obvious. Not to mention Joe's involvement and denial of 2016 election interference. Joe's become a ***** show. He should never serve in any capacity again.
  23. We are not a recycler but we do feed some end of life equipment into the recycling stream (properly). We do have a variety of ways to destroy data. Software utilities, degauser and a drive crusher. Liability insurance, yes. The good recyclers have a variety of certifications and carry E&O insurance also.
