Did Tipper have advanced knowledge....?
keepthefaith replied to Keukasmallies's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is good. Maybe our local schools will now stop showing students his awful movie. My Sophomore age son has seen it 4 times in school. -
Good, so there is hope for you as well.

54 people shot in a SINGLE WEEKEND
keepthefaith replied to WisconsinBillzFan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
If we got government out of the way there, they might all shoot each other sooner. The government is not going to resolve the inner city culture of crime, deceit, broken families, low productivity and consumption of taxpayer funded entitlement programs with existing policies. People have to change. The government, however, can help these people change by ending support for this lifestyle. When you fund schools and allow kids to quit you are suppporting a broken culture. When you fund welfare Mom's, extended unemployment benefits, low income housing, food stamps and free health care, you are promoting and supporting this crummy lifestyle. When you put people in jail and make it comfortable for them and don't do anything to rehab their attitudes and set them free into the same culture from which they originated, you are supporting this lifestyle. Dems and libs are simply using these people to get re-elected by continualy offering "aid" which becomes the crutch on which they hobble. The helping hand of thhe government is anything but that. It's a destructive force that continues to grow. -
Obama says he's calling your bluff

OK libs, here are the numbers. What do you do to get back to a balanced budget. Put your plans here. -
Why do libs need to control the corporations?

And that Obama has had close ties with this bunch of chumps says all we need to know about our commander in chief. -

He won't cut any entitlement plan that mostly benefits the less productive class and he won't cut anything that employs a government or union worker. He'll want tax increases on a variety of revenue sources and o course, the upper wage earners. You'll hear Obama talk about defecit reduction but you won't hear him talk about cutting spending except for military spending. And yes, his administration will publish numbers which when put under scrutiny will be a huge stretch. -

I was with you until the ACORN moment. Not saying that BP doesn't have some question marks but ACORN would be tough to defend. -
The best defense is a good offense. We know that the stability of Fannie and Freedie was questioned during the Bush years only to be told that "they're fine". We also know that nearly all of the TARP money loaned to private banks has been repaid with interest and that Fannie and Freddy have needed additional cash infusions. We also know that Fannie and Freddie would buy nearly any mortgage offered to them (regardless of the credit quality) which enabled banks and brokers to write any deal they could find, sell that deal and go get more deals without the long-term downside credit risk.

For sure, the libs didn't want health care sold over state lines in the recent health care bill. It was suggested, offered and soundly rejected. -

Companies are evil. They pay the top people big bucks and give them lots of perks while paying the "little guy" only as much as they have to. When times get tough the big cheeses layoff a bunch of the little guys (ruining their lives) such that they can preserve their fat paychecks and perks. The little guys are powerless against the big cheeses and are beholden to them for their modest existence. The big cheeses also discriminate against gays, women, minorities and any other groups of people that they don't like. The big cheeses are simply using the little guys knowing that the little guys can't think for themselves and are forced to show up to their drone jobs everyday just to make ends meet. Liberal Government control is the only way the little guy has a chance. -
Why colleges are mostly a waste of time

Huge market opportunity for the pharmeceuticals. Viagara purchases and the like are mostly paid for by health insurance and Medicaid and even Medicare to the tune of billion$ per year. -
I have to agree with Joe here. He knows the custard guy already pays lower taxes as a result of the Bush cuts.

Joe rates pretty low on the inspiration meter. -
I'd agree with this and I'll say now that this year's starter is a 1 or 2 year solution only. Same could be said for most of he rest of the roster too.

Blago tossed out of office

The investigators made the arrest too early in my opinion. Had they let it play out for a bit longer, they could have likely filed more charges against others. They succeeded in stopping an improper appointment from happening, but let a few off the hook in doing so. -

Nearly every decision by Obama is for a special interest or against another group. Each decision, each bill that he signs and each policy he pushes. He can't stand the inequities that a level playing field creates.

Imagine the benefits of eliminating public unions and requiring government employees to fund their own retirements through IRA and 401K plans like most people. -

I don't know about that, but if he were kidnapped by aliens we'd all benefit.
