  1. no worries...your last response literally made me lol...which now that I think of it, I'm sure most people who type "lol" wouldn't actually laugh out loud. If they were that jovial, they probably wouldn't be online all the time talking to people they don't know. Sorry about that...my mind just ran away with itself.
  2. Not trying to be an ass, but it seems to me that whenever anyone says "not trying to be an ass, but" it is usually followed by them being a bit of an ass(me included here)
  3. Um....I think you've embarrassed him.
  4. Levy. Untill he shows he is too old, he has my full vote of confidence. Just look at the methodical way we are progressing. Those that want to see big names & instant results should hibernate for two years. Rome wasn't.....etc etc
  5. I'm sure the bonus wasn't $5M...I think it was $1.1M. The 'Dead Cap' at the moment is $5.33M (with Amortized bonuses of $3.66M) If we were to cut him(or trade) at the moment, we would save $5.52M I assume if we wait till after June 1, we are only up for the Amortized bonus....wasn't there some rule change in the new CBA helping veterans in situations like this??? I think we can cut(trade) now & it acts like it is done after June 1??? I obtained the figures from http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archives/20...ry_cap_page.php Ooooh, I've got a headache now
  6. But they can't afford him & don't need him. There would be plenty of teams that I would think would give up their one first round pick for Clements before Denver give up either of theirs....not that this has much to do with the major points in your original post but I think it's imperative to the future of The Bills & the entire NFL in general that we discuss the potential of a Denver/Clements deal.
  7. I agree...good post, but why Denver? They don't have much cap room & have Bailey. Is there something about them I don't know??? Don't answer that, there is a lot about them I don't know
  8. Well said. As I see it there are 8 top draft prospects which means either we WILL get one or we trade down & get more picks. The top 8 are -in no order- Bush Leinart M Williams Hawk Ferguson Cutler Davis Young We could use any of these though better to trade if we end up with Young or Cutler.
  9. With 3 solid DEs on the roster I would think we would be looking for help at most other possitions first...though point well taken in that another quality DE would certainly help.
  10. Totally agree about Davis though.... as I see it there are 8 top 1st rounders(& no, this does not include Ngata) Marv is headed in the right direction, fill the holes with adequate players & draft THE BEST AVAILABLE PLAYER...of course the best available is open to conjecture My top 8 without doubt is(in no order) Bush Leinart Davis Cutler Young Ferguson M Williams Hawk At least one WILL be available when we pick at 8 If one of the QBs fall to us...either trade down with some QB hungry club(Min) or grab him ourselves. It's hard to build a champion without one & there is the smallest of possibilities that JP does not become the HOF we require. As for Rounds 2 & on....I like your thoughts but find it hard myself guessing what will happen past pick 17 let alone 7 rounds.
