Exactly ... Read Pierre Burton's Book "Niagara" ... though it's written more about the canadian side, it shows how we developed more on the industrial side and canada focused more on tourism. Now that the industry dried up, we need to take stock of what is left and redevelop for tourism. Unfortunately, the (unelected) powers that be that run the city and the out-of-state land developers sitting on prime property waiting to make a killing if non-indian gambling ever happens have killed any chance to capitalize on anything. For crying out loud, the poor guy who used to own the ice cream shop by the Rainbow Bridge had to fought the city for years to build a hot dog stand. A stadium in Niagara Falls, while it would be GREAT, will NEVER happen.

Open land isn't the problem ... it's all the palms that would have to be greased to get it to happen ... would probably double the project cost. There is a reason why developers aren't interested in building in a ghost town that manages to attract 10 to 12 million tourists a year.

Toss up between Stevie Johnson and Gibran Hamdan. Despite Hamdan's outstanding chroise, I'm putting my money on Stevie ... Jersey is on order and I can't wait to wear it to his HOF induction.

Presuming that Jauron did sign an extension, it's sad that the organization is too embarrased to admit it ... but do they think that they can hide it? My only hope is that they're trying to figure some way out of this mess.

I was planning on it, but not now. It's not the losing that bothers me as much as they just look so bad doing it ... going to games is suppossed to be entertaining ... last year we were at least competitve and the games were worth watching ... this is year is just awful

And it's not as if this kid just put up better than average numbers at Div 2 ... he put up some wicked numbers, so he probably could've done well in Div 1 too ... it's a flyer pick, but I like it.
