Mario Haggans - suspended
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Pennsyl-tucky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Although it does seem unfair that a wieght loss drug would warrant a four game suspension. I believe that it would be a second violation of the substance abuse program. I wonder what the first offense was and if it was the same substance I dont know why he would do it again. -
Draft Strategy based on Current Events

Calm Down Francis, are your panties tied in such a knot that a little humor poked at your mock sets you off. I did not blast you or any of your picks, just a little play on words because I am almost 100% sure that some CB prospect will go in the third round. -

I heard from a reliable source that some corner prospect might go in the third round. -
Aqib Talib & Mario Manningham
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am a Libertatian so I could care less about him smoking pot. However from what Charles Davis said on path to the draft is that Aqib Talib failed the test three times, and here is the best part, he was told at the beginning of the season when he would be tested( I guess NCAA does not do surprise urine tests). So my question is if you know when you will get tested why do you still get caught three times. I dont worry about the dope he is smoking, I worry about the dope he is. -
I think it is an offshoot of last years threenout.

Hull was brought in through the draft they had for USFL players after the league went belly up. -

James Lofton-although he was prior to unrestricted FA. -
DE Derrick Harvey's Pro Day at UF.
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, especially this is year 3 of the rebuilding process. Although I full expect the team to make a run at the wildcard they are not ready for the SB. I would rather have a stud DE then a complimentory WR. That being said if the Bills have a DE and WR rated close together you have to take care of the bigger need which is WR. Always grab BPA. -
DE Derrick Harvey's Pro Day at UF.
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched a couple of his games this year. He was dominant, but he looked so thin. His combine numbers had him at like 6'5 270 so maybe he is better built then he appeared. -
Historically inaccurate movies

The list left of The Muppets. Kermit is really not a talking frog, but a person with his or her hand in a sock. -
I hope they bring it back. It is the first show I look forward to watching since I was 10 and the Dukes ruled Friday Night.

Funny story, that is how I met her. She used to do readings at bars, I was kind of seeing this other girl (not serious, just a friends with benefits kind of thing) who would go see her from time to time. I always refused, kind of creeped me out. However one day I bit and went to see her and we hit it off. Started dating her soon after.

Do We Draft 2 Recievers Now?
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to SouthTownBills51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they draft two(especially if one is drafted early), I dont think JR makes this team. Reason being besides not liking him, is Evans and Parrish are a given to make this team. the guy you pick early makes it, that leaves two spots. If the one you pick late shows any kind of promise Reed would be demoted to the 5th reciever with no ST ability. My whole point is that if you pick two I think you will actually see three new faces, whether its Jenkins or another FA or RFA. -
I like Woodson. I think he gives the Bills alot of credit when they are talking about them. He even has talked about his friendships with Jim, Andre, and Thurman and says that Kelly was the toughest QB to play against.
-
I dont get the big deal. These guys that are here are basically running a few postion drills and lifting some weights. If you are one of the new faces on the team you should be there to get aquainted with things. However if you are a vet of this team and are responsible enough to be in shape then stay home if you want. The OTAs after the draft should be mandatory just because your roster is starting to fill out and I think at that point having the team start to get to know each other is important. This time of year though not so much. I am sure that coaches have told the players what to work on, and the conditioning coach has gave them a workout regime and a grocery list. After saying all that, I do like it when players show that type of desire but I think that its mostly just window dressing.

If it was not for Hank Bullough, Mularkey would have been the worst coach in Bills History. -
My wife plays Tarot, so she is very into that stuff(very good at it too). I took her there last year for our anniversary. I thought it would be boring. We ended up having a very nice time. I went and visited one of the mediums and she was spot on with things. Anyway later that day my wife went to some workshop and I was eating at this little place they have, and the Medium I saw was there. She said she used to be a school teacher in PA and she was Poz's teacher, she said that in the fourth grade when the other kids where playing on the playground he would be doing sprints because he wanted to play in the NFL.

Teams drafting top 15 WRs or CBs since 2000
The Rev.Mattb74 ESQ. replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder about that. He was a early pick and they bring in Reche Caldwell as the third reciever. It would be nice to start seeing the Pats bust on picks. Although if memory serves me right, didnt very few of their picks make the roster last year. -
Too bad Clint Eastwood kicked his ass. Although everytime he caught a pass they could play SWEED,SWEED,SWEED,SWEED, over the PA.

While I disagree with your premise, and believe the best person available should be taken whoever and whatever position he plays. I think your post made good arguements and was well thought out. Kudos. -

NE also picked a WR in the first round a couple years ago, Chad Jackon I believe his name was. -
