The Bills are taking this secrecy thing way too far.  They are gonna cut a bunch of guys before the opener who will have tons of information much closer to game day.

Then after opening Sunday every team is going to have film and information on every other team.

    Lighten up you guys, please.

If Beane is truly investing in people to scour social media to find information, then he can just bring in one of the 27 Jets players cut on Sept 5th and get their entire playbook.  In fact, there will be over 600 guys across the NFL waiver wire that will be cut by 9/5, every team's camp activity will be transparent anyway within a few days because of all the information out there and the opposing teams bringing in guys to "evaluate' them.

Do they really think Chris Brown, who is a true blue Bills fan, is going to impact a game a month from now by talking about where some non-starting rookie is going to rotate in at Dline?  Cmon man.

I think one of the primary reasons for letting limited information out is to conceal how certain players are performing or progressing. If teams see a player has been running with the one and twos, and they have a need there, they might be inclined to claim him. Meanwhile the Bills may be trying to get them on their taxi squad without having other teams see what they are seeing. This year especially with the expanded squads.

Not much today and tbh I think we are going to see less and less. All teams are cracking down on what media can share because absent preseason games this year, pro scouts are following beat reporters around the league for info and video of players that they can watch and stash for future waiver claims. Plus stephon Gilmore RTd a vid of Allen to Diggs and said “thanks for showing me the routes you are running” or something

Cracking down makes sense, especially with regard to scouts looking for cut down day waiver claims. It could definitely impact a teams ability to sneak a guy onto the practice squad.

However, I don't think the Gilmore tweet is relevant. Unless it's the 1st game (New England isn't), there will be plenty of actual game tape to see many routes run. Also. if he was serious about it he wouldn't blow his cover, he'd just keep collecting vids. It's notable he's interested and paying attention though. I doubt he's watching any Jets or Dolphins camp video.

Was he responsible for the greatest pass rusher in NFL history and the 2nd greatest quarterback in NFL history being available to him with the 1rst overall pick?

When Peyton got injured, a perennial Superbowl contender immediately became the worst team in the league and they stayed that way until they "Lucked" into another immediate franchise QB. He was in the right place at the right time, that's all.

OK, so you are confirming my premise in my first post, that you just think it was luck that he has put together winning playoff teams everywhere he 's been a GM. ??

Yes. He was an average drafter at best, did not appear to be able to manage a salary cap correctly and for all the talent that was graced upon him, he got 1 super bowl out of the whole thing. Overrated doesn't mean he was terrible.

So "for all the talent that was graced upon him", who was responsible for putting that together? And isn't it the coaches that are responsible for taking that talent and producing championships? GM's don't coach the talent.

    I’m glad we kept Kemp.

Me too. I got his autograph as a kid after a practice at the old Blasdell Motel field they used as a training camp in those days (hard to believe with their facilities these days https://www.thegamebeforethemoney.com/this-might-surprise-you-pro-football-training-camp-at-a-motel/ ).

Years later my wife saw him at a convention he was speaking at and told him about that autograph, so he gave her another one to give me for posterity.  ?

Bill Polian is drastically overrated in Buffalo
Doug Whaley was a much better GM than most in Buffalo think. If he hit on QB, his whole story is different.

So it is just a coincidence and luck that the three teams Polian was GM for were winners? Carolina in it's 2nd year to the NFC Championship, Buffalo to Super Bowls and Colts to numerous consecutive playoff appearances (8) and a Super Bowl win? Though important, drafting is only part of the role and responsibility of a GM; there is a whole lot more to the job than that, which directly impacts a team.

There isn't even proof that getting it means you can never get it again, there have been people who have had it twice now. It's not like chicken pox that you become immune if you have ever tested positive.

Then that would imply that a vaccine will not be protective either, if true. Unless vaccine produced anti bodies last longer than those produced in the body.

The Bobby Johnson connection is probably why they signed him but remember we picked a WR from Carolina college because his coach was now WR coach for Bills and that did not work out.

True, but Bobby Johnson was also integral in bringing Jon "Mongo" Feliciano in; they were on the Raiders together 2015-17. That turned out pretty well. I love the guy's intensity and attitude.

He was a 5th rd pick so not sure how much that equates to

RFA - After 1st & 2nd round tenders, in 2020 it goes to: Original-round tender: One-year contract worth the greater of (a) $2.133 million or (b) 110 percent of the player's prior-year base salary. Then.... the tender amount increases each year by the same rate of increase as the NFL salary cap, at a minimum of five percent and a maximum of 10 percent.

The RFA tender would be significantly higher than the vet minimum. For example:  Players with seven or more years of experience will have a minimum salary of $1.05 million in 2020 under the new deal.

Gonna get a lot worse. Reports are SCOTUS and Senate briefed that 70-150M Americans could get infected. Run the 3.4% mortality rate by WHO and that is a grim number.

It would amount to 2,380,000 deaths using the lowest number projection. That's nothing to sneeze at - no pun intended.

I have a Allen and Edmunds Jersey that we’re sent to me in the wrong size.  They are both Large’s, but fit right and are closer to a Medium.

If you are interested, PM me.

In fairness and wanting to give them to a regular poster, I’ll pick someone from my PM’s by the end of the week.

hmm... from your picture a Medium looks like it would not be very tight  ?

Very generous of you. Hopefully they go to someone who will often wear them, as I love seeing Bills gear on people everywhere I go across this great country.

Pretty impressive to carve out a 10 year nfl playing career as a UDFA out of a D2 school

Jacques should be real familiar with Corey Luiget.

I'm thinking Sean saw an opportunity to make a change once Eric Washington became available. I was suspicious when it was announced Teerlick went back to college level. Whitecotton likely saw the situation and took a better perceived opportunity. It's rare for a team to go to another team to get an assistant coach to make a lateral move to be their assistant coach.
