Out defense was better than not bad. It was very good. Cincy had one serious drive in 60 minutes. People who expect you to be able to stop an NFL offense for 60 minutes are deluded.
Do you consider Miami to have an NFL offense, because I think they can be stopped for 60 minutes. ?

True, but a postulation is a "suggestion or assumption of the existence, fact, or truth of something as a basis for reasoning, discussion, or belief." We are not considering it a suggestion or assumption, we are imagining a world where it is true.
That world may not exist. But we are assuming it does before we start. If there is a rule that says there is an exception to every rule...
Thank you for making my point!

Hence the word "If." We are assuming that it is a rule not a postulation. It is stated as a fact, there is an exception to every rule, and not there could be an exception to every rule.
True, but a fact itself does not make a rule, nor the statement of such. Thus it is a postulation. ?

If there is an exception to every rule there would be an exception to that rule and there would be one rule without an exception unless of course the one rule without an exception was the rule that says there is an exception to every rule. It’s pretty straight forward.
Except the former is a postulation and not a rule unto itself.

Give up a 1st round draft pick for a 31 year old injury riddled player? You are stuck in the mentality of past regimes. I don’t see Brandon Bean ever giving up a number 1 pick unless it was for incredible value. He knows 1 year rentals don’t build a team and doesn’t have stars in his eyes.

Are you implying Miami didn’t set rid of some good players and that their defense if you could call it that look atrocious against B’more?
No, I'm guessing you meant to say shedded (got rid of) some players, not shredded (cut or torn into shreds). But the ones still there feel like they've been shredded, with the way their team talent has been depleted. That is what I was implying.

Under different circumstances I wouldn’t laugh
But, what Miami has done shredding players.
Not a chance
LOL, I bet a lot of their players feel like they've been shredded.

During OTA's/Training Camp they announced they were moving Shaq to the right side (& Yarbrough to the left) because they felt that was his (their) more natural position and where he played in college. I think the results have proven them correct!

Of course no one thinks this offense is explosive at this point. 9 of the 11 are new to the team and have never played a regular season game together yet. Was Kelley considered elite after his 1st year in the NFL? Did anyone say Eric Moulds was explosive his first year or two in the league? Foster sure has that same potential if last years 2nd half is any indication.

I like the Davis Webb pickup.
He's probably as good an option for a disaster backup as you'll find at this point
Other than being the disaster backup, I think of equal importance is having a competent qb to run the scout team. That allows Barkley to focus on that weeks game plan as the backup if needed.

I mean all the stories about everybody being on the block has to be demoralizing especially this close to the season starting.
Or the way it's going, ending before it even starts. That's a tough mindset for the players.

I highly doubt Johnson will be the FT starter, I totally see a committee here, dude is only 5'9" 210 lbs. and has only been a 3rd down back his entire career so far, I don't think he can take that kind of punishment, maybe they pick Foreman back up? Just my opinion though.
I don't know if he's a 3 down back or not (he thinks he is), but Emmitt Smith was 5'9" 215 lbs and seemed to hold up just fine at that size.

We leave in 9 days for Barcelona. From there we cruise to Lisbon on a 300 person Windstar ship. About 60 of those people will be our old church friends from Sarasota. Some very close friends, and all folks who just throw in the credit card and let them split it. (Yes, I’m very excited! Probably not the last you’ll hear of this!? )
I spent a few days in Barcelona and really liked it. Sounds like a great trip, enjoy!

Check out my avatar. I was a regular there as a kid. All that’s left standing are the gates I remember. I started young!
Nice, should have recognized your avatar. I only saw 2 or 3 games there. Great memories though!

I see that, as I get back every year or two now. I can attend games without ever going downtown as I did last year. (Born in Hamburg, but mostly grew up in Williamsville.). I just never got down there in my youth, and don’t know the difference between all the specific areas that are discussed.
Did you ever go to the old War Memorial Stadium? I did as a very young kid. I'm thinking that was in city limits, but not really downtown? I do remember it was in a rough neighborhood.

I need to do this, but won’t have time probably before the game. I also want DTV to send me one for free, but haven’t had time to call.
I havent had nbc for about a month and this is the first time I’ve cared.
You might be surprised how good the picture quality is with a decent antennae. You get the full HD signal instead of the compressed signal (going by my past DTV history).

Sirles was good. Wonder if this is a way to re-sign him later on.
No he was actually pretty bad. He couldn't crack a bad O Line last year; and when asked to step in at both tackle and guard, he played poorly. He wasn't going to make the team.

"Micah Hyde goaded Brady into throwing an interception in the end zone and then bragged about it when asked by Bill Belichick after the game."
So Belichick asked Hyde if he goaded Brady into it? Is that a typo of some type? I didn't hear anything about that.
