All those players dealing with heat issues sounds a bit concerning with temperatures only in the 80's there. Players in the south have been training in the 90's for weeks now. It makes me wonder how are they going to deal with the heat week 2 in Miami with the 1 o'clock game time.

If Jeff Bezos gave every US citizen a billion dollars, he’d still have ~200 billion left to somehow eek through life. That’s the ***** that blows my mind.
I think you need a new calculator. With a current net worth of about $200 billion he could give 200 people $1 billion and then be penny less.

And truthfully have no problem keeping Gilliam - I though he contributed when called upon on offense last season and our TE room is thin.
Gilliam is listed as a Fullback now and had number change to 41.

There are not many of his takes on that list I agree with to be honest. I'm with him on Dyami Brown and Tyson Campbell. I was higher than the consensus on both of those guys. I am also with him on Asante Samuel being a but but not really for the same reasons. I think Samuel gets lost in zone and actually with his speed I feel better about saying to him "hey just go run with a guy". Other than that... not much we agree on. I'm not that high on Basham but I kinda feel the opposite to Simms' "boom or bust" assessment. I think Basham has a reasonable floor but a reasonably mediocre ceiling. So even where we might have similar views on players I get there quite differently to him.
I consider Basham’s potential as better than mediocre - more as a Phil Hansen caliber player. That is, not elite but dependably steady. What are you factoring on for the mediocre ceiling call?

If my thought about Ertz is waiting it out until his wife plays in Olympics is correct. I was curious about the dates. Bill camp starts 27th, practice 30th. Women’s soccer 21st, if they go as far as gold medal game, Aug 5th. If there is a signing it likely will be after their last game. At this point it may be about optics to the fans, if he signs and does not report or we let him off hook. It’s more acceptable for a guy to hold out to the fans, to not report, to go to olympics would be indefensible. This may be a reason we do not see any movement now.
There is no family allowed at this Olympics, he won't be there.
My first and last contribution to an Ertz thread.

As far as I can tell, Nazair Jones is a former 3rd round pick who played a bit for the Seasnakes for 2 seasons, got injured and IR'd in training camp his 3rd season (2019), and hasn't been on a roster or played since
Anyone know anything about this guy?
Eli Ankou has bopped around 7 different teams - so apparently he looks good enough to potentially contribute but can't quite break a starting lineup.
He spent time on the Exempt list last season: "On October 19, 2020, Ankou was claimed off waivers by the Houston Texans and placed on the exempt/commissioner permission list.[12]" but I can't tell why
It looks like Nazair Jones is more of a 3 Tech as the Seahacks moved him to 5T DE when they had injuries at DE. He has a very interesting story and is someone you want to pull for, with what he has had to go through.
"The 6-foot-5 Jones was the team’s third-round draft choice in 2017 out of North Carolina. A rare disease left him in a hospital for months having to re-learn to walk when he was 16. His was an inspirational story, reaching the NFL as a towering defensive tackle who chased quarterbacks and knocked down passes after what he’d bulled through to get there."
"A rare disease left Jones frightened he may be permanently paralyzed. A previously strong, energetic teen athlete playing three sports is not supposed to be inexplicably paralyzed for weeks."
Unfortunately he's had injuries mar his path in the NFL.

It is that time of year. You pray one of your guys doesn't get arrested or go on drama filled hissy fit on social media about a subject the team had decided to keep "in house".
Silly season
Or one of your assistant coaches doesn't start beating up some kids on a beach, after arguing about some chairs.

Weren't the Bills suposed to be the Miami Seahawks originally? But Ralph chose to go to buffalo instead.
It's true Ralph wanted the team to be in Miami. However, he didn't change his mind, he was denied there and settled on Buffalo later.
"After an initial bid to create a team in Miami was denied, Wilson told Hunt, "Count me in with Buffalo."

Sure. I will be driving from Atlanta straight up 75. If anyone is on the way, I'll stop by and pick you up. You're giving me gas money.
Will you be coming through spaghetti junction (my neighborhood)? If so, pick me up. But I'm only paying for gas on the way back - to make sure you don't leave me there.

Here is that good article on Epenesa which also mentions the team's requested weight loss.

Espenesa always seems to be around the ball. He makes one play per game in his limited playing time. If he were to get a bit bigger he may be able to play more often.
They don't want Epenesa much bigger. In fact, Frazier said they earlier had asked him to drop from 280 down to 260, which he since has. Leslie said he's much improved since then, playing faster and with increased quickness, which I have noticed. Epenesa implied he'd like to add some muscle weight as he said he is about 255 now.

I would have said the Jets when it looked like Trevor Lawrence was headed there. Dabol knows this team too well, so I don't want him in the division. But now I think he will be going to Jacksonville, with Lawrence, and I will be glad to have them both (i
n the NFC- whoops, mixed up with NFC Panthers) out off the division!Of course I won't be crying any tears for Doug Marrone either, in that situation.
