I'm always surprised that "San Fran" is what folks from 49 states call SF.
Well they could be calling it the dreaded "Frisco" 🤣

He’s got rib protectors on and they aren’t fastened.
I doubt it's rib protection, on for practice and with a red no contact jersey?
In any event he looks clean shaven, so it's likely not a recent picture. Doesn't he still have that mustache?

Wow, seeing Van brings back old memories. Thanks!

When the running backs are consistently getting hit in the backfield, it is clearly not a running back issue. I don't know who the running game coordinator is, but that area definitely needs attention.

Good sign that Keenan Allen said the Dolphins really confused them with their defensive looks and they were so confused they decided to run the ball instead of throwing it late in the game. Bills should be able to do the same thing as we are known for disguising and bringing pressure from all over.
Well it could be good if over the bye McDermott and Frazier can figure out how to improve the run defense. Ranking 28th in Rush yds/gm and 29th in Rush yds/play has been a weakness needing attention and improvement.

Todd Haley's response:
Coaching is coaching. MC had his best year of his illustrious career with me! Not always fun but key is to get the best out of “the” player. #woody #toystory https://t.co/zpvFRzJxjm

He takes a stab at Cassell because he thinks Matt looks like Woody from Toy Story. 🤣

I don't think they switched roles exactly. But I think Frazier re-distributed responsibilities to put more of the coverage on the DBs and to create a role for Klein more suited for his skills instead of trying to plug Klein into Milano's role which was clearly a square peg/round hole mis-fit.
Yes, I thought they had Klein playing "more" of the Lorenzo Alexander role -- which is what I thought he was brought in for. He is not a skill fit for Milano's role in this defense.

I'd argue he is safer with the team than without. Far more frequent testing.
I don’t understand your hang up on testing. Testing only tells you if you have it, exposure increases your chances of getting it. If he is staying home he has much less exposure, and thus likely safer.
Star is a good player, but not the panacea for this defense.
I’d go with Klein, a complete disappointment who was supposed to know this defense and would plug right in to Zo’s role.

Pot meet kettle. Yet another ridiculous thread from you. Posters who follow football are coming to your rescue yet again, but you should seriously contemplate not starting new threads until you conquer the hallucinations which haunt you.
lol.... Gotta love your attitude #81..... and so well articulated!

We did a tour of small NC mountain towns a few weeks ago. The wife hates the heat, I hate the cold. The dream is, when she retires, a place in (tax free) Sarasota, FL for most of the year and a place in the Smokies for the sweltering months. Hey! A guy can dream!
I really didn’t fully appreciate the beauty of the Smokies until we were driving into Blowing Rock. I am FULLY sold!
And state tax free in TN if you’re on that side of the Smokies. NC taxes can be a pain from my experience, though. They can hassle you even though you claim FL residence.

You should get an avatar of Yosemite Sam. It is the cartoon I learned word when I was around 3.
I don't really get what you are saying. But in case my explanation caused confusion, I was born and raised in Buffalo/WNY and speak WNY English. Though I would really like to visit Yosemite National Park someday. ⛰️

OR.....could it be we promoted a CB from the practice squad and need to fill that hole?
Hole was already filled with RB Antonio Williams: he's back for the 4th time..... poor guy has been on a yo yo this year.

Have to say was surprised to read in 91 and 93 the defense was ranked 27th! Seemed like they were dominant on both sides, but guess it's a case of having a couple superstars like Bruce hid things. Plus that back back everyone was online 24/7 so much less info/stats easily available to fans.
The K-gun hurry up offense hurt the defense stats. They were back out on the field quickly and the time of possession was usually slanted against them. Also the DC had a "bend but don't break" philosophy, so the yards could pile up.

Do remember him.. and DO remember that game! Had season tickets , at the end where Rashad caught the TD.. But CANT remember if Rashad was using Rashad or Bobby Moore at the time
He was going by Ahmad Rashad at that point. I was pumped when they traded for him; pairing him up with OJ, Fergy, Chandler and J D Hill. Ironically the Bills lost both Gary Hayman and Rashad in the 1976 expansion supplemental draft.
-
I remember Gary Hayman (RIP), but don't remember him in that game. I do remember Ahmad Rashad (FKA Bobby Moore) had a big game and was instrumental in the win.

For some crazy reason........I read “injury” and my brain said “surgery”. My heart stopped briefly!
I’m MUCH better now, thank you very much.
That's ironic, I also saw surgery when I first read it - slight panic until I reread it.

I'll hunt for it, one of our amateur evaluators said something about failures in pass protection.
That's interesting as I thought pass pro was his strength (no sacks last year, right?). I've always heard the run game was Spain's weakness.
When asked about the O Line changes, McD said "every player has to earn it." Fog, or unhappy with Spain?

I would say leave well enough alone in this stadium, especially during this season - who wants that distraction. But, if a new stadium is built he should be left off of it.

You can hear every player talking in the games right now though practically. Every adjustment and audible from the QB etc.
I'm not sure who sounds ridiculous more here to even debate that one fact.
I mean even on the Monday night broadcast they said it...... how they will miss being able to hear everything .....
The announcers don’t hear the network TV pumped in fake crowd noise that we do. They just hear the allowed stadium noise. The TV fake noise is irritating and so loud sometimes I can’t hardly hear the announcers. Even my wife mentioned that. So I don’t know how you are able to hear what the defensive players are saying.

Can we get Star to come back??
Letting Jordan Phillips go was a mistake.
Jordan Philips was a liability in the run game. He free lanced too often and was more interested in his sack total than staying in scheme.
