Here is my best guess at the Bills offensive line in 2019.

    LT - Trent Brown

    LG - Wyatt Teller

    C -   Mitch Morse

    RG - Dion Dawkins

    RT -  Darryl Williams

    Reserves:

    C - Jeff Bodine

    G - Spencer Long

    T - Michael Dieter

    Lets see what others think.

I'm guessing you must be a NASCAR fan, though Jeff (Geoff) Bodine is long retired now. No doubt you're referencing Russell here, eh?  ?

  2. Great story! I see Bills fans proudly wearing Bills jerseys and hats everywhere I go. This summer out in Colorado and this fall down in FL. What's surprising is they are often young enough to not remember the winning years, they grew up during the drought. Loyal fans we are, bandwagon fans we are not!

Yes in all seriousness, its obvious you are going to get fired if you do this.  My guess is he was going to quit anyway and decided this was more fun...or did it this way so they would fire him and he can still get unemployment benefits where he cant if he quits HA

    Either way... #respect

You can't get unemployment benefits if you are fired, only if you are laid off.

I don't think Anderson has any interest being a coach. Judging from what he was doing when the Bills pulled him off the scrapheap to come to Buffalo he didn't have any interest in actually playing either. Now I can see how he would have had an interest in a 3rd string backup /mentor for Allen job as the Bills probably enticed him with that job description. They probably prefaced it as "easy gig"," we've already got Nate Peterman as backup", you'll never see the field" type stuff. Then when Allen got hurt and Peterman proved to be a disaster, they HAD to put in Anderson. Maybe Anderson felt slightly double crossed? In any case, I doubt he comes back here.

He recently just signed a contract for next year, so he is coming back. He also recently said he still enjoys playing and would do it all again even given the concussion. I don’t think he feels double crossed at all.

  5. People learn by watching (it’s how we all learned our language, etc) and Josh said he learned so much watching DA take over the offense when he was hurt. When he came back he was greatly improved and he credited DA. Derek likely doesn’t want the grind of a coach, lower pay and enjoys the CBA restrictions. Another added factor is the number of years playing adds the the now rather lucrative NFL pension, something he’ll collect on long after his playing days are over.

  6. I remember George Saimes who was good (and you just made me remember Hagood Clarke the strong safety) and had the benefit of playing on probably the best defense in Bills' history (McDole, Sestack, Dunaway, Tom "Tippy" Day on the DL - Stratton, Jacobs, Tracey LBs - Butch Byrd, Booker Edgerson, Clarke and Saimes DBs).

But for my money Tony Greene is the best free safety of all time for the Bills. I remember a game against the Jets, he had been injured, but at a crucial time in the game he went out on the field and because of his presence Namath called a time out. There was no play clock back then.

Greene ranks number 2 in Bills history in interceptions and interception return yards and he holds the record for the longest interception return in Bills history, 101-yards. He's 3rd in fumble recoveries, he was a real ball hawk!

  7. Such a typical emotional fan reaction, cut this player, fire this person. You build a team by fielding the best players you can. If you can find a better running back or tight end, hallelujah! But you don’t cut a player just for the sake of cutting them.

Further, I think people here are confusing mentoring with leadership. Leadership is Shady going to Robert Foster and telling him he needed to step up and put in the effort to succeed, and how to be a pro. He wasn’t mentoring him on how to play wr.
